The one thing about Kobe is that there is many people I know that don’t watch basketball or anything sports wise but they always knew Kobe and almost everything about him. That’s how I knew he was always a legend from knowing that he was everywhere without realizing. He truly was the definition of a legend and his mamba mentality is in everyone.

The way Kobe carried himself; his confidence, his passion, his outlook on life. He truly did live like each day could be his last. He taught so many people so much. Every day he tried to be better. He tried to make others better. He tried to make everyone better. He truly was beyond just the sport of basketball. More than an Oscar. More than father. More than husband. He was, is, and always will be an icon, for not just the people who watched him play basketball or wore his jersey, but for anyone who will listen to his message. His legacy will be carried through generations. He will be deeply missed, deeply mourned, but also dearly remembered. We will remember his message more than everyday, more than just 24/7, but 24/8.
    RIP Mamba.

Us as fans had a tough week coping with Kobe being gone, can't imagine what guys who just talked to him before he passed are going through. That being said, the Lakers did a fantastic job with this tribute, pure class, all around. Going to miss Kobe forever.

I live in Dubai and there was a Kobe tribute in every single public place. Kobe inspired me for more than 20 years and probably l got a into lot of trouble for spending too much time watching his highlights throughout the years. But man , with his death l just signed 20 more years of RUclips videos of Kobe. There is not mamba out for me.

I definitely didn't cry! Nobody I know did either. A lot of people I talked to thought it was really stupid how they talked so much about 1 guy, when 9 people went down on the Copter. Thousands die everyday. Just because someone used to be able to play ball, that doesn't make him an idol. Foolishness!

Damn bruh I’ve have never been crying over a celebrity but Kobe’s death hit me hard because I grew up idolizing him as a player and the type of person he was I mean the impact he made in my life is pretty much what I am today which is work hard for what you want to accomplish and even work extra to Above and beyond & to see him go like this just fucking kills me inside be we didn’t lost a player we lost a father, a husband , a brother & not to mention the other families too may god be with them.

It feels surreal and too fast for everyone who grew up during his legacy in NBA and this tragedy just happend after a few years from his retirement.I was always waking up in early morning just to watch his matches highlight on national television before going to school.

Same here this one of every celebrity or athlete hurt the worst the last one to get to me at all was Reggie White but nowhere near as bad as this. Unfortunately the sad part is watch how ppl grieve and how they celebrate kobe’s life then think of how you’ll be remembered just Normal most likely. Not saying you won’t be missed or forgotten, but his impact on the game and world is unmeasurable, think how big will your day be? He was larger then life he owned Los Angeles and always will because he worked harder than anyone that ever existed and harder than anyone in the game of basketball at being the best. Kobe is goat because he put every ounce of himself into being goat he showed us greatness every night he played Win or lose he never once made an excuse to not play when injured or ill and gave the best performance he could his last game showcased that and validated his career RIP Kobe. “Mamba out” RIP#GOATLIFE8MAMBA24

@Ronny Simon Kobe said he had sex with the girl but didn't rape her. The case was dropped when the girl refused to testify. She later sued him and they settled out of court after he apologized to her, but never admitted any guilt. Now get over it. His family and friends are mourning right now. That's why so many people lashed out at the Twitter check marks over this shit.

Hate isn’t the answer Kobe is very important to a lot of people but now look.So please kindly take your hate and turn it into positive comments thanks

He Encouraged me into basketball I have been subbed in when I didnt want to.
Now that Kobe is gone he is in all our hearts. When I was down Kobe sent me a message that said, "You get up. If you can't then you won't win. It is all on you."
From that point on I have never given up on anybody.
My The Black Mamba Rest In Peace.

    Found this heartbreaking quote
“You can shed tears that he is gone,
or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he’ll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all he’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that he is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what he’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”
    ― David Harkins
R.I.P. Kobe and the 8 others killed in the crash😞

This guy is truly special, sometimes I comeback to this video to remember, to remember something much more than just another NBA star. I'm sure many comeback to remember a man who brought light into our lives, a man who inspires us and makes us push forward. Looking back at it now it would be a shame to his name to be someone who admires him and gives up, may we hope he rests in peace.

A coworker let me know why some of us were so hurt at this: we watched Kobe enter from high school because we were in high school when he left high school. We watched him spend the majority of his life in the NBA. We literally watched him grow up as we grew up just like a classmate from school we knew.
I said it before and I'll say it again: I was never a Kobe fan but he is beyond worthy to be in the top 1% of all time greats of basketball and sports.

    • @DungarooTV

It's not top 1%...not even close...he's probably top 60%...he's a top 10 greatest of all time...I never liked him on or off the court. But we must pay tribute to a life that ended so early!

I've never been much of a basketball fan, but I've always loosely followed. Kobe was an inspiration for me. Between him and Champ Bailey, my favorite number will forever be 24. I work for everything I've ever owned and I work my ass off to get where I am today. I kept that mentality that he shared and I took that shit to heart. Rest in peace Kobe and Gigi 💜💛
