@@DotoDoyato block rush attacks and rush ultimates you hold guard with triangle for a super guard you have to time it right and it deflects them however their ki remains the same so stay vigilant plus some cpus are cracked where they have unblockable super attacks but they have a 2-3 second recovery hope this helps doto but I'd recommend best to avoid super attacks is use explosive wave it's reliable and stops all rush attacks also it's cheap usually costs 1 stock
I finished the Android saga and I gotta say this mission is harder than anything in the Android saga. 17 is just way too broken. Even getting jumped by the Cell Jrs is gonna be easier than this mission lol.

The trick with 17 that makes him broken is you have to play neutral every second and never stop moving and doing things. So it’s not you they literally took one of the most broken characters and gave him faster ki charge + hella damage. In fact you did better than me because I didn’t know that trick on countering rush supers lol.

BT2 is just so unrefined as a game compared to BT3, there’s way too many spammable things that are just too strong for a real competitive game. Needing to do a special block to block rush supers and block volley supers is just too much to ask of a plaeyr. That’s why BT3 nerfs both those things by making volley supers a lot smaller and rush supers only break guards now when blocked.

It’s weird how the developers went through the effort of doing the history of trunks special as a story campaign but use boo saga gohan instead of the actual future gohan, pretty weird if you ask me 😂
Future Gohan rarely appears in DBZ games because of ratings issues with showing him missing an arm, so often games either don't include him or let him have both arms.

Yo doto. All Saiyans have rolling hammer (left or right + triangle or y for xbox controller). It turns the opponent around so they can't block your low attack into the launcher. After the step up do a combo into rolling hammer, before doing the trip.
I know sagas is one of the most hated dbz games but one thing I did love about it is that right after the frieza saga is over you go straight into the history of trunks special as the first part of the android saga instead of having it separated from it.
11:42 there’s a way to get pass the counter. If you press the ki blast button you do a heavy attack that can’t be counter and then you can do the rush combo.

Last thing: don't skimp in Defense ups. Trust me. The immense health loss will get you even angrier in later fights. Those blasts need not take more than a bar of health.
Directional guard while you are mid square, square, square combo will help you blink behind the opponent and land more full combos against the AI. Also highly recommend the sternum check at the top of your air combo. Max power = violent rush (mash square till final bar of blue ki, land a grab which freezes your max power drop, immediately launch ultimate after)
17 was always busted in 2 for absolutely no reason. At least you noticed that explosive wave stops rush attacks because it is a godsend. I also have a little hint for when you're trying to hide from the enemy but I don't wanna backseat game too much unless you want the help.

Doto listen. You need to gather the dragon balls and wish for an item. That item will boost your characters like a massive upgrade. It will really help you for later fights.
I feel your pain. Playing BT2, fighting the Androids and anyone with super armor was scary. Androids keep generating ki and will spam supers at every instance. Armored characters like Broly tank through attacks. This game really makes you feel the uphill battle the z-team was facing
I had memories of the androids being busted in this game, specially 17 with his Delta Combination (which doesn't remove meter if whiffed, pretty cool stuff you know). Yeah, I guess my memories were indeed correct xD Good luck my man, but I don't think that there's a harder battle than Trunks vs 17 and 18 that soon, so you may rest a little bit
I will say: I played this game on the WII. I didn’t go through the pain and suffering you’re experiencing. It’s probably because you’re trying to go through the story the first time on hard difficulty. If you lowered the difficulty, you would see the AI’s levels drop significantly. Also, defeating and farming lower level enemies leads to more items beyond simple attack and defense ups that really raise your levels. I remember getting a combination of items that ensure that each character equipped has a level of 112. And at that point, I cruised through the story.
Doto here is a list of tips: 1: when you beam clash you can hold the charge ki button to add more power to your beam 2: you can do fusion in game (but you haven't unlocked it yet) 3: some villains can heal when transforming 4: You can hold triangle (or your ki blast button) and circle at the same time to help with delta combination and other charges like that, it evens reduces damage (but it uses ki) Thank you Doto hope this is helpful, big fan btw
Ok doto, all these rush attacks being bs is why most rush attacks are nerfed in bt3. If you think delta combination is busted wait till you see the menace that is mystic combination from kid buu. There's a reason kid buu is the most busted character in BT2. If you have to do a mission with a character w/o a rush attack, remember that you can always change the direction of charge-able moves like kamehameha with the analog stick if they try to dodge them in a direction
Also doto pls for the love of all that is bt2. When you launch the opponent up for the extra air combo, just press triangle first and ALWAYS end with triangle to smack them down. The ai doesn't counter it

Doto about to learn that any City map is the best for dragon ball farming, just boost in circles breaking houses, and look for the little glimmer on your radar, the tiny ping going off is an item, could be a capsule, or a dragonball, and unlocking is Down+L1 I believe, or down+whatever lockon is. Please keep these series going, I wouldn't even mind you going back and doing Budokai 2/3, both are very different but very good games, a lot probably wouldn't, maybe the whole series?(bar raging blasts cause those would take literal months for you on the hardest difficulty😭 no hate there's just so much damn content. like 3 & 5x each) Edit: if you're not doing a "attack/super-less capsules" please for the love of God Doto throw some on. Without them you will genuinely not complete the entire game, Perfect Cell & afterwards virtually require them, you straight up won't be able to keep up with the damage output of some of the fights. Hence the close calls lately, having Attack Up or Super 1 or 2 Up goes CRAZY on certain people, like Trunks' Finish Buster, any version of Any Character's Ki Volley Attack, please do some research online and look into builds and stuff, you can actually make some insane characters simply by grinding the game or buying stuff from Baba.
I really like how they place the History of Trunks before the Android Saga here, whereas in past games they had it placed in-between or to side as bonus content. It gives the impression that this is the canon path... before Trunk's time travel brings back hope. 0:37 - "Last time, on Dragon Ball Z!" Love this previously flashback. 3:35 - There we go, through the building; you got your cool moment eventually. So far you're decimating your opponent, so this title has me curious as to what occurs later. 6:02 - The hilarious case of them not having a separate character slot for Future Gohan. Gohan gets to keep his arm and gets a brother. Goten and Trunks are the same, so whilst Trunks won the height department in this timeline, Goten won the super sayain lottery. 10:08 - CPU playing far smarter than I remember; usually they charge into those things. Just Dota’s luck though. 12:54 - Yeah, you’re really not having a good time with androids. Their lack of ability to charge ki usually makes them easier opponents, but on this higher level, it means the CPU has might as well aggressively attack at all times. 16:19 - Real nice to see you playing around with the lock-on mechanic like this. It’s certainly unique compared to how fights typically play out. 18:26 - Oh my gosh; you’re actually playing the game like you are supposed too! Holy heck! The limiters (of you intentionally nerfing yourself for no reason) are off! 21:15 - Gero did make robots stronger than the legendary super sayain and the strongest intergalactic tyrant (Freiza). An Dr Hedo made robots and such that scale to godly levels; Earths robotics and creations are busted. 24:45 - I thought you were going to doom yourself by going after that Dragon Ball for a second. So glad you resisted the temptation. The game was trying to make you lose at every opportunity it seems you pulled through with a win.
Doto because of you, i started a BT2 run. The Trunks saga with Trunks (sword) was the single most infuriating moment in the whole game. I'm done now and that's still the hardest part of the game. I never got touched as much as this. Redemption comes with Adult Trunks or whatever he is called.

the fact that the super dash attack only wastes ki when it lands AND wastes your ki if you block it is crazy
You can interrupt most supers in this game by punching them which is why dash supers don't use it unless landed they are too easy to interrupt

Doto about to learn that any City map is the best for dragon ball farming, just boost in circles breaking houses, and look for the little glimmer on your radar, the tiny ping going off is an item, could be a capsule, or a dragonball, and unlocking is Down+L1 I believe, or down+whatever lockon is. Please keep these series going, I wouldn't even mind you going back and doing Budokai 2/3, both are very different but very good games, a lot probably wouldn't, maybe the whole series?(bar raging blasts cause those would take literal months for you on the hardest difficulty😭 no hate there's just so much damn content. like 3 & 5x each)
Edit: if you're not doing a "attack/super-less capsules" please for the love of God Doto throw some on. Without them you will genuinely not complete the entire game, Perfect Cell & afterwards virtually require them, you straight up won't be able to keep up with the damage output of some of the fights. Hence the close calls lately, having Attack Up or Super 1 or 2 Up goes CRAZY on certain people, like Trunks' Finish Buster, any version of Any Character's Ki Volley Attack, please do some research online and look into builds and stuff, you can actually make some insane characters simply by grinding the game or buying stuff from Baba.

I really like how they place the History of Trunks before the Android Saga here, whereas in past games they had it placed in-between or to side as bonus content. It gives the impression that this is the canon path... before Trunk's time travel brings back hope.

6:02 - The hilarious case of them not having a separate character slot for Future Gohan. Gohan gets to keep his arm and gets a brother. Goten and Trunks are the same, so whilst Trunks won the height department in this timeline, Goten won the super sayain lottery.
10:08 - CPU playing far smarter than I remember; usually they charge into those things. Just Dota’s luck though.
12:54 - Yeah, you’re really not having a good time with androids. Their lack of ability to charge ki usually makes them easier opponents, but on this higher level, it means the CPU has might as well aggressively attack at all times.
16:19 - Real nice to see you playing around with the lock-on mechanic like this. It’s certainly unique compared to how fights typically play out.
18:26 - Oh my gosh; you’re actually playing the game like you are supposed too! Holy heck! The limiters (of you intentionally nerfing yourself for no reason) are off!
21:15 - Gero did make robots stronger than the legendary super sayain and the strongest intergalactic tyrant (Freiza). An Dr Hedo made robots and such that scale to godly levels; Earths robotics and creations are busted.
24:45 - I thought you were going to doom yourself by going after that Dragon Ball for a second. So glad you resisted the temptation. The game was trying to make you lose at every opportunity it seems you pulled through with a win.

Doto because of you, i started a BT2 run. The Trunks saga with Trunks (sword) was the single most infuriating moment in the whole game. I'm done now and that's still the hardest part of the game. I never got touched as much as this. Redemption comes with Adult Trunks or whatever he is called.
