I’ve just said said something similar; the younger generations are no longer get used to seeing this level of violence on the news, they’re used to seeing some “protesters” attacking the police who for the most part are very restricted in how they can retaliate; for those of use over the age of 40 it was unfortunately a regular occurrence seeing bombs dropping and violence in this region and the cycle of escalating retaliation; as well as seeing violence and hostility on some regions of the U.K.

B) Some of the victims in Gaza died from failed rocket launches of Hamas.
C) Most importantly, there's reason and cause. Hamas is firing on Israeli cities for over 20 years now, targeting civilians and using its own people as human shields. Israel defends itself against a terror organization supported by Iran, with great effort to minimize casualties at both sides. Less Israelis are killed not because their lives "worth" more but as they are better equipped and protected by their government, in oppose to Hamas who doesn't care a bit for its own people.

I am israeli-american, and this war is for political gain for both sides. Hamas gets it radicalize more to far-right islamism, and Bibi gets to use it for legitimacy and optics. It's not a fair fight. Israel crushes Gaza and the west bank in any fight, not that I'd want them to. The people are the losers in this war, my grandma had a dud rocket drop in her village.
