Best video / photos I've ever seen of Brimfield. You really nailed this one. And the touch of humor was very genuine. This is the best time of the year ~ May Brimfield.
Great job explaining the complexities of Brimfield. We tell our customers many of the same points about weather, clothing, parking. ( We explain these things at other shows we sell at when a customer says they want to shop Brimfield). For the most part, experienced dealers and shoppers know all of the ins and outs, but for a newbie it is daunting to figure it out. You covered some unique yet important topics no one ever mentions: port a potties, buy it when you see it, cash, and crabby dealers. I love identifying the varous fields through your footage, as I know them all by their layouts, roads, trees or other characteristics. Glad you pointed out the food vendors opposite the food courts. My fave is the grilled cheese truck, although there is very little seating. Fabulous and accurate video for anyone who wants to go for the first time. You somehow managed to capture the energy of Brimfield.

Going this weekend for the first time after two years of missing it. Video made me laugh. Awesome video, can’t wait 😛
Great video, so well done, thank you very much. I'm quite partial to Brimfield. My parents sold there from about 1971 to 1992. Last year I went back to all three shows and had a great time shopping. Can't wait to go in May.
Gr8 informative video Matt.. This looks like a very good flea market and I would love to go for sure.. Love the wood chair with the Piedmont back.. I would like the sign to display with my tobacco cards.. Stay safe all..👍💕🔥⚾🤗🤙
Thanks for watching. Chair sold a few years ago (the B roll was all old footage) but I never thought about the connection to baseball cards when i owned it.
What a fantastic video Matt! Love all the information with a touch of humor mixed in. We have been to Brimfield many times and can honestly say that you are right on the money with everything. Could not agree more with all your tips. We agree with the others, this is the best video about visiting Brimfield that we've found anywhere. Will be sharing this one. Favorite parts: Buy it when you see it. Won't find the stand again. Lots of port a potties. We've been in some "ROUGH" ones. Can't unsee that! Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next one.
Hands down the best video you have produced. The kind of video you hope to find when researching. And I'm sure it is the singularly most informative video anywhere on youtube about Brimfield and antique shows. Can't wait to see the tips for dealers vid next. Though as a future seller there were plenty of helpful tips even in this one. Great production value and charm and packed with helpful info. I'd subscribe but too late I'm already a subscriber. Matt, What is the best platform to send you a DM?
Wow, thank you! I really appreciate it. I'm trying to make helpful or interesting videos and so I really appreciate it when people view and like them. Instagram is the best platform to catch me on. I'm on it more often and post very consistently on there. I'm mattgreigantiques on there and on facebook
I used to go to Brimfield back in the late 70s and early 80s. Yes, park in town, so you can take stuff purchased to your car or van. I have been in antiques for over 50 years and have seen Brimfield deteriorate over the years. I basically am into mechanical musical and art glass. I am unsure of the quality now. From videos I have seen a lot of stuff is bottom shelf now. You used to be able to buy museum stuff, but remember that was years ago. Of course no Ebay or internet to have the best stuff back then, as dealers would bring their best stuff to Brimfield. Bring cash absolutely! I used have over $5,000 in cash and would spend it all back then. Pay to get in when the dealers set up as good stuff goes quickly. When I went there, no fee to get in early when dealers were setting up. The only place you had to pay when dealers were setting up was at Kutztown, PA Extravaganza, but of course that was years ago. The last time I went the market was not worth going too. People used to say I was wierd collecting stuff starting at age 13. You have sure have some good points, and good luck!
Great video and thanks for all the tips. I can't believe it but I've been collecting, buying and selling for over 50 years and I've never made it to a Brimfield show. I only live in NY so what in hell is wrong me!!???
Thanks for watching Well worth the trip from NY. I was staying in the Hudson valley and Cherry valley on two separate occasions and the drive to brimfield was very easy.
@@antiquingwithmattgreig1370 We are never ready either but we are planning on arriving a day earlier this year so we are not arriving and setting up the night before ( and morning of ) opening day.
@@antiquingwithmattgreig1370 Yeah shooting for Monday this year, hopefully less stressful than arriving at 10pm Tuesday, staying up all night Tues, getting just a couple hours sleep before getting up early to just barely finish setting up in time before opening bell.
Great video. I've done Canton, Tx and Round Top, Tx but never Brimfield. Your advice is spot on. Can you tell me anything about the two prints behind you. I love them.
Great video Matt! I’ve never been to this flea market but would love to go one day. Thanks for all the info, I’ll definitely take your advice if I ever get to go. Taking the dealers phone number is definitely great advice, I typically leave items to pickup later and at a show like that I imagine it’s extremely hard to even remember which field they are in. Do you set up there every year?

A really great video! I totally agree with other commenters that this is hands down the best video on Brimfield on RUclips. Well done!
wow, thanks for your kind words.

Good advice!!, thanks for watching
Love it , would be there this year
Great video Matt! Love the advertising pictures behind your head, bought those from a weird dealer!!!
You and Doug are definitely not anywhere close to being weird dealers. So many weird dealers. You two are among the nicest though.
Excellent video well done full of good advice.

we go around to big markets like 127 yard sale and hillsville selling rugs and do really great. Do you think we would do good at this show?
