- Scott ToyGuru Neitlich reviews the first non figure item in the MOTUC line from Mattel, the Ultimate Battleground Weapon Pak. It's legacy to the vintage line, its introduction of weapons for Kronis (Trap Jaw) as well as why in the world is their a pink cosmic enforcer armor in there? The answers to how toys are made lies within...

I wish toy companies still did accessory packs. One of my favorite things about getting Star Wars figures when I was a kid during the Clone Wars era, was that every figure came with their own accessories and a baggie full of extra weapons. I have a Pringles can full of weapons.
Yeah, while I do love these type of packs they tend not to sell. Hasbro did packs like this for Episode 1 and the bombed.
To me, the yellow beast man armor always made sense to go on moss man in the vintage line. It was the same color as his belt.
Nice. A good use of it!
I once had an Art Instructor who didn't realize that purple was her favorite color. We figured it out before she did, and would always add purple to our paintings to get higher grades. She finally caught on, though.
That is hillarious
As a kid, I always put the yellow Beastman armor on Moss man. That armor was hard to get off. I almost pulled Moss man’s head off trying to remove it. Great channel!
Oh no poor Moss Man! Thanks for the comment and watching, I appreciate it.
I thought the weapons paks were neat. Some of the choices were...interesting at times, haha. But overall it was fun to get extra accessories for characters that missed out, especially with the later paks.
Interesting is a kind way to put it
@@spectorcreative1872 I guess that's why we have these videos. So we can hear about the reasoning behind the choices. :)
At least you weren't responsible for the second green Clawful mace, haha. I'm sure Ruben will never live that one down. XD
Enjoyed this one! Also I'm thrilled that you used my picture of the Super7 Weapons Pak Beast Man figure!
Thanks for posting it online!
The pink Zodac armor matches Plundor perfectly. Pink armor for a pink bunny.
The blue power sword matches the DC comic He-Man 2 pack very well.
That is a nice use of it!
Hey Scott! When is the episode on your experience with the MOTU movie scripts coming out?
Out now!
@@spectorcreative1872 I watched it. It was a great episode. You should do a script review for Justin Marks Grayskull script.
Love the weapons paks. I wish toylines would do this more not just for customization just for fun I got so much more mileage with my figures swapping and playing with them this way
It really is right! A big reason we kept this going
I love purple, too, Scott!
The color of kings
Scott, thank you for the info, much appreciated. Keep them coming (going through your older videos, lol). Now for the next weapon pack. 0416, watching Toy Guru videos... hot coffee is my friend right now.
I am a big white chocolate mocha fiend
@@spectorcreative1872 white chocolate mocha coffee creamer... right in front of me.
I wish you had gotten to that mini comic Tri-Klops!
Or Leo Faker. All of these, I would buy.
Me too.
Hey there’s always Motu origins !!!
Great video! Thank you! Loved this set, and all the Weapons Paks in MOTUC. I was disappointed when they were nixed. Would've loved to have gotten more of them, like dedicated Trap Jaw weapons in black, maroon, and silver, for example. Or fleshing out some omitted weapons from the first Pak or Grayskull Weapons Rack, or the ones found scattered about the Eternia playset.
Yeah this could have gone on forever based on how many tools we eventually had!
These videos are very informative and cool
I am thrilled you are enjoying! Many more to come
That Zodac armor definitely registered as a hot pink. Would have been so much better if you had just gone with a neutral grey or even a silver.
I agree.
I’m pretty sure the crossbow in the weapons pak was silver not white.
True
Yup you are right. My bad. I mixed that memory up with the Hordak variant that came years later with a white cross bow. You would think I would look at my own darn visual. I'll add this to the list for an upcoming "mistakes I made" video!
I really wanted to see He-Man's harness in blue to go with the weapons in this weapons pack. I even bought an extra He-Man if the opportunity came. I was always disappointed it didn't happen. Aside from that, I loved the Weapons paks.
Oh that would have been cool! Maybe Mattel can do it in Origins
Seems like it would have been easy money to just crank out a bunch of the weapon packs, since you already had/have the tooling?? Just paint them holiday colors ,GID, or just mix em up all kinds of crazy ways!!! Would’ve been a perfect chance to do the pink Faker armor, ax and sword! Horde themed, snake-man themed, idk, or were they not that profitable?
Well we wanted to really out thought and love into each repaint to ensure it had a reason for being.
Man at Arms: He-man, how many cross guards do you want on this Power Sword I am making for you?
He-Man: Yes.
hehehe
Scott, are those feelings I'm having okay?
Feelings are always okay
Hope they do bring back The Weapon Paks for Origins.
Me too!
The laser whip was sexy I’ll admit that
Scott my fav colour is purple too!!
Nice! Purple people rule
I was a little sad we didn't get more of these in the original Masters of the Universe, and GI Joe. And never got them in Transformers.
Hooray for Shapeways at least! And of course legit releases too
Anything that helps make playing more fun
When you get to the point where you run out of figures you did, will the series end or there a chance you'll like do an interview with the Super7 people or something?
Also, I can't wait to see you talk about Mighty Spector. I know a lot of fans don't like him, but I always thought he was cool with like the cosmic key guns and things.
Oh I'll get to Spector for sure. As for Super 7, that is TBD
I think that looks more like a lower case Omega than an E on its side. Also "Omega Armor" sounds more MOTU than just "E Armor" to me, then again it could also be an Epsilon on its side.
Activate OMEGA Armor! (cue 80's music...)
I always thought it was a "W" and I was even more convinced when the original Wonder Bread theories started going about.
Purple is also my favorite color.
The color of kings
My Stratos had blue wings. Then when I saw the cross sell pic which had red wings, I thought I got an interior variant. Wasn't happen about it as a kid
Confusing right!
Beast-Man had an Electronic Whip (Elektronen-Peitsche) on the german audios, btw.
I didn't know that! Cool
I'd love if the Origins line brought back the accessory packs.
Oh did they? I had not heard. I'll need to check that out!
@@spectorcreative1872 No clue if they are or not. It would make sense to do it. No new tooling. Easy money for Mattel, and people get more stuff.
I used the pinkish cosmic armor on faker for an evil enforcer.
Nice use
That's really cool. I like that idea👍
I wish the weapons were available I'd love to have them
Always try the secondary market!
@@spectorcreative1872 in in uk remember the motu dead zone and have looked
I thought that when He-Ro came out and came with that translucent blue sword that it was a throwback to the blue power sword in the 80s weapons pack. Is there any truth to that?
The Blue Clear Sword the He-Ro came with was because it was holding the Power of the Universe in it which was transfered to an orb by King Grayskull. See the story here:
ruclips.net/video/Rt3SLs85F7k/видео.html
@@spectorcreative1872 Oh I know that. I mean behind the scenes was that the reason they made his sword blue? That it was a homage to the completely blue sword from the original weapons pack.
4:49: this is why it stuck! Star Wars meets Indiana Jones.
There you go
Wait... it’s armor make for the “Won-Dar” character, so why not just call the “W” a “W?” Instead of “...an E on it’s side.” It’s a stylized “W.”
(Though, growing up, I always assumed it represented a trident/pitchfork thingie.)
The armor is a repaint of the armor for Zodac. This is a recreation of what was in the vintage Weapon Pak which included this armor! See a bit more here!

I would adore a Weapons pack for MOTU origins but i would wait if the new cartoon is succesfull :)
WE may be waiting a while
@@spectorcreative1872 boss i have all the time in the world :)
I wish you would had done the cosmic enforcer armor in another color. Maybe blue?
In time I’m sure we would have!
You should of made the Zodac armor a much darker purple for those who may want to make their own custom "early version" of Intergalactic Skeletor, using the Dragon Blaster Skeletor figure together with. Just saying.
I actually expected it to be a darker purple. It was a big too pink for me.
I always wondered about that Pink/Purple Cosmic Enforcer armor.
Purple is My favorite color too
Go purple people!
I hope we get weapons pak's in Origins. I'm a little dissapointed that Origins Mer-Man didn't come with his trident
It would be cool
Triclope came with Green sword 🗡️
Point taken
An "E" that looks more like a "W"
From a certain point of view
Always thought that was a play on the word enforcer, as in the cosmic enforcer..... Which could be another very cool concept to explore, the origin of zodac, him becoming a cosmic enforcer, and how He-Ro first attained the sword of He. Who knows?? Maybe Revelations will tell the tale!!
crow-niss
huh?
@@spectorcreative1872 3:35 and 3:58 - you say it like "craw-ness". I thought Kronis was pronounced "crow-niss". :)
