The battle damaged insert pieces for the DC vs. MOTUC Faker should have been the electronic chest sticker instead of the "slash" marks that He-Man and Skeletor had. That one Faker variant at 11:41 shows it.
I always wondered how people would react to more battle armor characters - Battle Armor Man-At-Arms seems like a natural extension and Battle Armor Teela would have been an interesting refresh in line with her position as captain of the guard.
Question about the "creative solutions": In the cases where you do things like give away bonus accessories with new figures etc. is the point just not having to pay to warehouse the stock?
If I remember correctly, you had discussed that one of the problems the 200X line had was that kids didn't like the barbarian outfit on He-Man and wanted him to be armored up more, leading to the Snake Armor design. Given the popularity of the Battle Armor figures, how do you think it would work if any new He-Man figure lines would start with Battle Armor instead of the classic look? I know collectors might balk at it, but in selling to kids at retail would that be a smarter move?
I was crazy lucky to get BA Faker. My friend wanted Bizarro and he sold me BA Faker! For retail. Good thing cause the the price is ridiculous now on evil-Bay
I always thought you should have released a version of battle armor faker in the regular line with not only a faker head, but also some generic robot heads in a two pack, so they could be used as army builders for skeletor. Though he already had his robots knights, and of course skelecons, so, maybe he didn't need any more troops.
Always liked that Idea as a new Faker and he is often harder to find too making him something for the collectors to go for to complet there line. I was jsut watching and Old movie Ator the Fighting Eagle and Wondered how much of it might of been something drawn apon for He-man.
If I have only one criticism of the classics line, it's that the "battle armor" figures really should have come with color-matching shin guards. I know the originals did not, but Scott's talked before about pursuing some "if they could have they would have" ideas in other figures. Adding shin-guards would have really brought not just the swapping chest gimmick, but the core idea of 'armor' to the fore.
You meant to say Battle Armor Faker became part of toy history. Companies need to take note of what Funko is doing. They have tons of repaints and most of them are well done. Also, the comic industry, because there are tons of different versions of Batman and Superman and Spiderman, and now Spawn is getting into the variant game. BA Faker was a trash figure in my opinion. He should have had He-Man's Battle Amor with Skeletor's BA bat chest plate in order to fully combine the He-Man and Skeletor variants. His exposed belly and button and abs looks awful too. My first reaction when he was revealed was "Why doesn't he have Hordak's armored ab piece." @@spectorcreative1872 I’ve long been demonized by fellow fans for playing the devil’s ... well Hasbro’s anyway .... advocate. People sometimes forget the business side of this hobby.
BA Faker was a trash figure in my opinion.
He should have had He-Man's Battle Amor with Skeletor's BA bat chest plate in order to fully combine the He-Man and Skeletor variants.
His exposed belly and button and abs looks awful too. My first reaction when he was revealed was "Why doesn't he have Hordak's armored ab piece."
I understand the limitations of the DC two packs in terms of tooling which was why I appreciated the other ToysRus 2 packs we did get (love the Zodac, Merman, and Stratos), that being said BA Faker sucked.
He remains one of maybe 3 figures in the Classics line I never bought.
Such a shame. He really is a cool idea. I wanted to like the figure. He just ended up an ugly cheap kitbash.
I agree with the abs showing, but as normal Faker wore Skeletor's armor, to me it makes sense he would wear BA Skeletor's armor too. ,
@@spectorcreative1872 That's fair, but it makes more sense to me that Faker wears He- Man's armor to match tbe doppelganger look.
Literally wrong those cars that can crack up cars were not made in the late 70s they were made in the 80s how do I know I had I couldn't tell you how many of them those were my favorite cars in the day because you crash them and then they have damage from a crash literally the early 80s dude those cars weren't even a thought in the 70s
I think the first ones were late 70's but I am wrong all the time!
EDIT. YOUR. NARRATION.
