I love how both transformations compliment them She-ra has the more latent magical abilities, but is also really strong, so hers is more mystical and magical. Where as He-man's is an explosion of pure power. He can shoot out a clothes beam like Piccolo from his sword, and that's about it for mysticism, he punches or throws anything else that stands before him.

Yes he remembers all that he did when he was Battlecat, I forgot the name of the episode, but when Adam finished transforming into He-Man and was about to change Cringer into Battlecat, Cringer balked and said something of the effect of everytime he turns into that brute Battlecat he always get into trouble, and he asked He-Man to keep him as Cringer for that particular adventure at least for a bit, I forgot the name of that episode though, but yes he remembers.

They should have addressed that in the series, but I feel it would perform the same function as the sword of power and transform Cringer into Battle Cat. Just like if He Man pointed his sword at Spirit, it would perform the same function as the sword of protection and change Spirit into Swift Wind.
Therefore, you could have two combinations never shown in either of the series which would be Prince Adam and Battle Cat and Adora and Swift Wind which would create some scope for some very interesting character dynamics.
