Grew up in the 70s. What a great time for music. Soundtrack of my youth.
Really great time for music
Me too...best decade of music ever
Brother Biz!!!! If you're gonna play with the LRB try "Cool Change". Spark a doob, grab a cold one, sit back, relax and let the boys take you on an ocean voyage of mellow and epic proportions! Mellow phuggin' times. PEACE!!!
That sounds pretty good lol
Right??
Love these guys. Nothing like some great seventies easy listening. All music has its time and place. Other great songs of theirs are Lady, Cool Change, Lonesome Loser 🙂
The Night Owls ❤️
Cool Change is one of my favorites from LRB. Their guitarist was one of Jimi Hendrix favorites.
Little River Band is so good. More bro. Cant live without it
Yes!!!
Which guitarist? Just curious, since Hendrix died 5 yrs before LRB was formed. Was he a fan of the guitarist’s earlier work with another band?
@@GoldTop57 LRB was around earlier I heard
@@EdwardVodika I don’t think that’s the case. Pretty sure they formed in 1975, but no doubt the individual guys were in different bands before then. My Parents are close friends with a couple of the current members, but not the original members. Although Wayne has been their bass player since 1981.
Glen Shorrock is 79 now, i was lucky enough to see hom perform this song recently and he still has those vocals!
Dude, the 70’s are kicking my ass right now, lol! I’m having way too much nostalgia😬
70s was dope
When this song first came out, I was like: This song is perfection!!!! Percussion, trumpets, keyboard, Bass riffs, harmonizing, Lead singing! They don't make music like that anymore!
LADY is my favorite but I love reminiscing love ME SOME LITTLE RIVER BAND!!!
You might want to check out Lady, Help is on its way, Cool change, and Happy anniversary baby. All great songs by LRB. ✌🍀
Can't go wrong with those! And I'd add "Face in the Crowd"... 💕
Frank Sinatra said this was the best song to come out of the 1970’s. And, John Lennon was said to have binged on the song because he loved it so much.❤️😎🎶✨🎶✨🎶✨
Sometimes when people aren't familiar with 70s music, they think it was all hard rock. Actually, soft rock was super popular.
If you haven't heard it already, try "Summer Breeze" by Seals & Crofts. Timeless hit. 👍
It's a lyrical masterpiece. The musical arrangement is lush. The groove is soulful.
It's a Long Way There is a must.
Oh yes...my favorite!
"Cool Change" with the dolphins video!
Check out their song “Lady!”
Their song "Lonesome Loser" is one of my biographical songs and their song "Lady" is the best of all the songs titled Lady. With the smooth harmonies and great lyrics just really mellow you out.
Great Job, Biz! Super glad You found LRB!!
I played this song fire my parents when I was seventeen, the year it came out. This was their love story. Glen Miller, the Porter tunes. They meet at a Glen Miller dance.
John Lennon said this was his favourite song and Frank Sinatra said it was the best song ever written.
I think you're dancing just fine. That girl's a fool to not go with the moment and make some wonderful memories! Glad you liked this song. I did have that special dance in the par, in the dark and this was our song!
LRB has some of the best engineered music ever. That is why it sounds so clear in headphones. I use their song Long Way There as a test when I am setting up a new sound system.
Great Band Seen Them In Concert Oh Memories High School !
You do FEEL the beat and you DO know how to dance!! Great song to enjoy with us 🥰
4th grade. my digital clock radio with the flipping numbers was my most prized possession...
Ha ha cutting edge technology, I was amazed by my new calculator back in the day, and it cost around $75...
Haha...the clock radio was my big 13th birthday present.
LRB WERE VERY Big in AMERICA AND i have A CONCERT DVD of theirs THAT THEY did in TEXAS in 1988
What do you mean "I don't know how to dance."? You're dancing beautifully in your chair 🥰🎵👍
Great reaction and great moves to an Australian classic!
A great song and a beautiful voice, goosebumps all over 🎸🎼👍
If you liked that you'll love Lady.
This song is drop dead gorgeous.
We had the best music in the 70s. I’ve loved them since I was a child. Good rabbit hole.
Don’t care what anyone says….70’s had some of the best music!
That is a very true statement
Some more great LRB (Little River Band) songs are:
"Curiosity Killed the Cat"
"Down on the Border"
"Lonesome Loser"
"Mistress of Mine"
Yessss!
Play'em all Biz!
🙌🏾🙌🏾
You sound like a beautiful and romantic man.
Don't ever apologize for that.
Thank you for sharing your dancing story ❤️.
Listen to Its a Long Way There
"Reminiscing" is from their 'Sleeper Catcher' album. But their masterpiece from that same album is the 8 minute track "Light of Day". Little River Band at their peak.
Great song that has always made me think of that Steely Dan style of music.
Linda música na melhor versão
Hi bro I lived on the gold coast in Australia and I was playing little river band and the nabour come over wanting me to turn the music down the funny thing was the nabour was the Lead singer of little river band.👍❤️😄
I had that album, then the cassette then the CD. Saw them 3 times in concert ❤ You need to watch the video
You know it's a good one when that dimple shows up ❤
Lol I legit heard this song in the waiting room last time I saw the podiatrist and I was like "hmm this actually grooves, lemme shazam this" .. been jammin on it ever since xD
A great Aussie band!
Cheers!!
This was so great and I a few really good laughs!
I like this song! Great reaction!
Thanks its a dope song
Help Is on it's Way was a big hit for them as was It's a Long Way There, Happy Anniversary Baby, & several others
You should react to the music video OF This song WHERE GLEN SHOROCK Sings this song And BEEB BERTLES is THE guitarist AND GRAHAM GOBLE is on the guitar AND BEEB BERTLES is From HOLLAND AND LRB is From MELBOURNE Victoria Australia
Great old song from the 70s. This Band was one of the smoothest around. They had style. I believe they are an Australian Band. Whatever, we sure liked their music in the 70s, and we like it today. Yes, continue on the "Little River Band" journey. Lot's of great stuff. "Cool Change" is another that comes to mind, but their are many more, I know, I'm just old now, and forgetful...Lol!
Thanks
Cool Change
Great song Biz 😃
👌🏿👌🏿
Love your energy and enthusiasm!!
Thank you 😁
💯 "Cool Change" is a great LRB cut‼🔥
Loved the reaction brother. LRB please check out "It's a long way there". Thank you! 😎
🙌🏾🙌🏾🤘🏿
Just want to point out something (and I've noticed other commenters saying the same thing, even in other reactors comment sections).... I do NOT get all of your notifications! Somedays I'll get only 1 and then later, I'll just "happen" upon 2 or more from that day and maybe even see some more from prior days, that I never got notifications for.... It's really frustrating😡.... but more importantly.... I wanted you to be aware that subscribers are NOT always getting ALL of your notifications.... it's an issue. Rock on Biz!!! 🤘
EDIT: Love Little River Band!!! Good choice!! 😁👍
Yeah several people told me about that problem I honestly dont know why youtube does that... and thanks 🤘🏿🤘🏿
'Lady' nxt
Another great (but quirky) Band is Split-Enz try them out some time. Particularly "One step ahead"
Biz, you have to react to, It's a Long Way There. Totally different and them at their best.
Happy Anniversary from them. Holy crap. They are harmony masters. With great tunes. Frickin' Aussies anyway. :-)
Lady is one of my favorites by them
"Lonesome Loser" was a huge radio hit by them. Great song!!!
You might have heard it in the movie "The Other Guys" with Will Ferrell and Marky Mark.
Its A Long Way There - great song.
If my friends heard me listening to this I might get beat up lol smooth though ✌🤘
😂😂😂
Young man, just sway with the music. You don't need to know how to dance other than that. Just hug your sweetheart ❤❤. Another song to add to your slow dance routine is Neil Young Harvest Moon. Rock it darling!. I hope, if it hasn't already happened you find a beautiful person to reminisce with 😊
Here in the uk we call this style of music as " Yacht Rock " love it !! ❤️
John Legend is a legend in his own mind.
Lady, Cool Change are 2 songs to check out.
There’s a live concert video of this song that’s absolutely a killer!
The seventies were the richest era of great music across all genres!
you've got great moves...i'd dance with you any day!
Watch the Fonz on Happy Days, he just holds the girl and stands there. You could sway a bit though?
that feeling'!
that "you can't cook, she probably grabbing mcdonald's" feelin'😂😂
i grew up on this album and in 2 mins i'll never hear it the same
😂😂😂
Hahahahahahahaha 🤣 you ain’t right!!!! And I LOVE it!!! 😂 Great review 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don’t know a whole lot about LRB, but I do know a couple ... and I have to agree with everyone else ... Lady and Cool Change are definitely worth checking out!!!
Bless your heart .... she’s out there!!! And with her you will cook & dance 😉😜😂
Love ya fam 💞
😂😂😂😂🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯💯💯
Their whole catalog is awesome!
This a song you surprise your wife with. When she’s in the kitchen, turn this on, grab her hand, pull her in close, and start a little slow dancing. Helps if you’ve got a little rhythm, ha!
Me: (yelling and screaming) MORE!!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
Yes, so ya like this make you think about love, falling and being in love.
All there is is love... and laughs... you made me laugh with the McDonalds comment❤️🥰❤️
😁
Biz Great reaction. I love this song. I can’t believe I missed it yesterday. My husband gave me a mix tape more than 30 years ago. Before we were a couple. This was one of the songs on it. We still dance in the dark on our back porch to this song. I’m not much of a dancer but you don’t have to be for this song. It’s more about holding each other close and swaying to music and reminiscing. Great job I loved it.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
John Lennon once said he wish he had written this song, great Aussie band
Try listening to the live version when John Farnham was lead, it's soooooooooo good!
Please try their song, It's a long way there. It's a banger! Play the album song. Not the live. Thank You.
Great chord structure on this one too and some lyric references to the Big band jazz era “Glen Miller’s band” and “Cole Porter” “we’ll go dancing in the dark “. Dancing in the dark was a very popular tune in those days too. (Not the Springsteen one )
Thanks for reflecting on my 70s youth! It was the most diverse decade of musicians and music genre'. Love the acoustic instruments with strings!! LRB had plenty of hits!
My cousin's best man was Peter Brown..Do you wanna get funky with me
Listen to ‘The Other Guy’, that and ‘Cool Change’ two of my favorites. Little River Band has many great songs though.
Feelgood soft rock. 🙂
They call this "Yaght Rock"
Every dance I've gone to, people were more interesting in showing their moves than actually listening to any music. You could've put a beat-box in the room and that would've been fine. I do the same thing you do when I hear nice music. I let it flow through me, I connect with it, I hear the melody, the chord progressions, the instrumentation, etc. If I move, it's because the music moves me; it's not to let everyone know I CAN move. You can't dance? Watching you, I imagine you CAN. But I've never really cared about dancing, but I LOVE to listen to music. You made this fun! Good pick!
Nah I cant dance at all im just like you never cared much for that I enjoy jist listening to the music more
One of those songs remember where I was the first time hearing it. At a dance.
Very sad the update on the band... so thus is an awesome Aussie band who had a lot of hits, when one of the guitarists left they replaced him with an American guy who when the band split up went back to the YS and is touring with all new members as LRB. He didn't write nor sing the songs but is touring as them. As Glen Shorrock, Beeb Birtles and the other members of the band did not I think it's Paten it he took it to the US and ran with it and now makes money off their song writing, songs and name. It's really low, there was an interview with Glenn Shorrock here on Aus TV where he was clearly gutted and regretful they they hadn't patented the band but also really pissed off and angry that someone could do what this guy has done.
Thats such a crazy story
"You didn't feed her, you can't cook...". No, she should be the one cooking :).
Cool choice man... The got alot of hots. There greatest hits album... And the recorded in Nashville tn...
When I first heard this song I went out and bought the 45,because just in case they never made another record I wanted to have a piece of their music. This song is special. This band is special.
And I think they changed lead singers about four or five times.
This guy sounds amazing and the harmonies are nearly as good as the BeeGees.
React to Happy Anniversary Baby by these guys. It's Fire!✌
Not my thing, for American tunes it was Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, Ozarks,, etc, this is just so opposite, the more I am listening to this the worst it gets, so just not my taste.
Biz, check out this interview with Graeham Goble of the Little River Band where he tells about writing and recording “Reminiscing”. It is a fascinating interview with one of the greatest songwriters of his era. He wrote the bulk of their hits. ruclips.net/video/j5lkgq7dlHY/видео.html
LITTLE RIVER BAND, "REMINISCING". IS THEIR CATALOGUE ANY GOOD? 😜 YES!!!
just a thought my friend... maybe when you are "Reminiscing"it's about a time you had... it could be a good time
