"Neither Triple H nor The Rock are good enough to sit under the Honky Tonk learning tree." I'll bare those words in mind when we get to 1999 and see if The Honky Tonk Man made the right call in rejecting these two.
Yep, they were pretty much intertwined for multiple years. Feuding here.. Then leaders of feuding factions in 1998.. Then Upper Midcard/#1 Contenders' feud in 1999.. And then Main event feud in 2000.
I haven't watched wrestling for almost 20 years now, but I can't tell you how much I appreciate this series and your content in general. It still allows me to enjoy it! One of the few things I look forward to on a weekly basis on YT. I've been since the very beginning and it's great to see you get the recognition you rightfully deserve! Thank you!
During the first set of months after Austin begins getting those full-crowd "Austin" chants, you can really see it hit him and fire him up. Good fans can help build character and change the energy of the moment all at the same time.
Mr. Hughes actually found Shawn Michales smile by accident which robbed him of his ability to frown he felt this was unitimindating so he left until he could find his frown.
I swear you don't sleep making these videos, the amount you put out is impressive considering the research put in and quality. Just don't lose your smile doing it.
Would be cool to see a video about yourself my man, how you became a wrestling fan, etc. Love the channel and the content dude! ALWAYS top shelf! Cheers!
I think its interesting that Randy Anderson was a great referee and he would actually only manage to live a little more than 5 more years from this point.
That won’t be until sometime in May-June 2022 until the Reliving The War series gets to Late 1997 man lol. 1998 is still over 10 months away in the series.
What i love about the series is the no mercy music in the background great job Wrestling Bios! Edit: Series is amazing and my go to Thursday video love your amazing work
Haven't watched wrestling in about 20 years. Not sure how I found this channel a few weeks ago but I've been literally watching every episode of this series and loving it. I miss this Era and I appreciate you doing this man. Thank you.
I'm suddenly interested in wrestling again. I was 15 years old watching this and had been watching Mid South Wrestling, WWF, NWA, and WCW for 7 years by this time.
I was going threw a few things the other day and came across a Rock figure which had the attire from this time period. I think it was a re-release but still made me laugh when i found it
Bro I just wanna say I love your content and RTW is some of the best wrestling coverage for the monday night wars on YT! Keep up the good work brother!
Another awesome upload from the greatest wrestling channel on the net. The amount of work you put into your channel is incredible. It must take a lot of work, research and effort and it’s highly appreciated. I look forward to all of your videos through the week, however reliving the war is my favourite and a highlight of my week. I no longer watch the current product and haven’t since the mid 00s. However very much enjoy reliving the Monday night war through your channel, thanks very much again ✌️
Wow #70. I have beeb here from day 1 and it doesnt seem that long ago. Congrats man and i look forward to the rest of the war! So many good memories with my brother and grandpa throughout the 90s watching both shows. We had so many dream matches we would have loved to see between WWF and WCW.
These videos are great -- I have been watching them from DAY 1-- The production is great and so is your commentary-- it's so good that you now have competition. I forgot the guys name but he basically has taken your idea and does a review of old NITROS AND old RAWS. IMITATION IS THE BEST FORM OF FLATTERY
I just seen the Sting and Macho Man segment here on RUclips the other day!! Savage was hilarious during this segment to me for some reason 🤣 I love everyone involved in that segment, definitely miss those days!!!
3:45 That definitely didn’t age well. In what way is there any value to be under the Honky Tonk learning tree and getting overshadowed by an Elvis Presley impersonator when you can be a Mega Star?
Her role in Debra's wcw was that at first she only accompanied her husband, since a mongo was part of the 4 horsemen. And then she started getting a push where she would have her history with Jarrett, where Debra apparently liked Jarrett.
I was kind of worried about that Rocky fella when he clotheslined the ring post but then I figured that with the dropkicks he kept dishing out, Maivia would be fine. Not like he's going to use his elbow much anyway.
Ya know I may miss a few episodes here and there but overall my ass been here every Thursday since the beginning of this series. This man still provides the best Wrastlin channel on the Tube.
I stopped watching when WCW went under. Ive always thought back on memories but this takes me back just like when I was a kid waiting for Monday nights
All I am saying is that 27:40 will keep you laughing for hours. Deborah was a comedic Trainwreck disaster waiting to happen and I loved every bit of it because she was on the planet of her own.
I thought yesterday was thursday, but i didnt get an alert for this video, thats how i found out I didnt miss a meeting! I can now set my schedule to these drops......
When people ask me what I’m watching every Thursday I just tell them “it’s Horsemen Business, you wouldn’t understand”
This is great 😂😂
One has to wonder what all this 'Horseman business' was, that prevented them from attending literally their only jobs.
@@lordrosemount The World may never know 🤣
69th like, because Horseman Business.
i started lol'ing like the fuckin joker when i read this!!!!
"The Midcard Express" To the person who suggested that, I am raising a glass in your honour, comedy gold.
Indeed 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite as well
Easily the best of the bunch by far.
"Neither Triple H nor The Rock are good enough to sit under the Honky Tonk learning tree." I'll bare those words in mind when we get to 1999 and see if The Honky Tonk Man made the right call in rejecting these two.
don't even have to wait that long, early 1998 will do
I'm shocked Hunter did the job for the newbie.
He wasn’t married to the bosses daughter yet
What about Marc Mero
@@buddahmunk1812 98 he wasnt married yet he was over
HBK: *leaves*
Austin: Hell yeah, my turn to drive!
And then Austin got to drive for the next 4 years
pssh Austin took the wheeI, thats why HBK Ieft crying Iike a IiI beach
HBK walked so Austin and Triple H can run
The Chewing Gum in Debra's hair is the winner of this week's Reliving the War
A winner is gum
Hit her face with a gum-shot 🤣🤣
What the hell did she say though??? 😂 This lady was a train wreck waiting to happen and I loved every bit of it.
I come back to watch this all the time
Whoever gave her the mic from the second time onwards is the true villain of WCW@@dontreldontrel416
Wow HHH and the Rock in the opener. That's freaking crazy considering where both would be in the early 2000s
Yep, they were pretty much intertwined for multiple years. Feuding here.. Then leaders of feuding factions in 1998.. Then Upper Midcard/#1 Contenders' feud in 1999.. And then Main event feud in 2000.
@@planescaped what about savio Vega?

I'm in the exact same boat. Haven't watched since the attitude era. This series brings me back to my childhood. I'm grateful for this series
Same here.
Think alot of people are like us, it's a trip down memory lane.
Same
@@ericb9252 lol No he didn't.
Right before the gum hits Debra, someone should edit Mr. Perfect doing his gum slap lol
That would be Shaqtin a Fool levels of editing there, lol.
16:38 Man i remember that
"Can you tell your Daddy he IS STILL FIRED?!?!!"
Bishoff was such a great Heel at those Times
During the first set of months after Austin begins getting those full-crowd "Austin" chants, you can really see it hit him and fire him up. Good fans can help build character and change the energy of the moment all at the same time.
He was getting on the map
When The Rock and Triple H met for the first time on this night, who would have thought that those two would have a iconic rivalry in the future.
Honky Tonkin Man missed a golden opportunity to take Rocky under his wings and call him Rock-a-billy
Rock would look GREAT with a pompadour.
@@Rob_Thorsman He basically had one for years!!!🤨
Mr. Hughes actually found Shawn Michales smile by accident which robbed him of his ability to frown he felt this was unitimindating so he left until he could find his frown.
Turn that upside-down frown back around.
I really enjoy the N64 WcW vs NWO World Tour music you put it in the end. Very nice touch
HHH Focused on the Wrong Arm as the ‘Rock’ clearly hit his Right Arm into the RingPost … 👀
Well, what do you expect from a couple of jobbers who'd never amount to anything?
@@lordrosemount 😅
Those two are probably never gonna wrestle again
Get these two JABRONIS out of MY ring!
I genuinely look forward to this every week even my husband knows when that intro plays 😂

I defiately dont lose my smile when its Thursday Raw Thursday and Reliving the war is on .
Hang on. If Sunny's managing days are over does that means there's a new opening for Apollo: The Personal Trainer?
I would honestly enjoy an Apollo Crews time travel story
Shanme the Bodydonnas are also gone. Still, he can manage the Triple Threat!
The plane with the 24 inch pythons flapping!!!! pure gold!!!!! Thank u for that!!! I found my smile!!!!
I was literally waiting by my phone for the notification for this to pop up. Can’t get enough of Reliving The War and heavily anticipated this one.
Would be cool to see a video about yourself my man, how you became a wrestling fan, etc. Love the channel and the content dude! ALWAYS top shelf! Cheers!
26:49 ... Arn Anderson was only *39 years old* here, looking 60.
I liked High Voltage when I was younger. They had a good look and decent moves.
Closing in on the first hundred. Seems like a couple of weeks ago we started this cheers big man
It's hard to believe we are almost at a year and a half
Even though we laugh at Shawn, the segment and things around it were nicely done
In a different universe, the People's Dropkick is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment.
Its been said before...and Ill say it again after seeing the gum in Debra's hair.....WCW fans have the best aim.
The sheer amount of effort and research you do on each episode, is amazing thankyou so much for this unbelievable series.
What do you mean? He's just narrating what's happening in each video..
Can we just appreciate Jackie powerslamming that dude in stilettoes. Wow!
I think its interesting that Randy Anderson was a great referee and he would actually only manage to live a little more than 5 more years from this point.
He gave EVERYTHING to the role.
Loving this series and brings me back many memories of my parents yelling at me for so much channel flipping during Monday Nights
The Midcard Express. I love that one haha
Welcome to Thursday Afternoon Reliving the War. Thanks once again for a trip down memory lane... double kudos for the crazy week's show...
The intro is still my favourite part. It’s just perfect.
I'm so looking foward to seeing this series in late 1997 and 1998
That won’t be until sometime in May-June 2022 until the Reliving The War series gets to Late 1997 man lol. 1998 is still over 10 months away in the series.

The Midcard Express and Just In Catering 🤣👏
The accuracy of the gum throw tho. Great stuff for 70 episodes!
The sarcasm concerning the future of The Rock's career is absolutely hilarious lmao
This is the best wrestling series I've ever seen. Thank you so much for helping me relive my childhood ever week.

This ‘Ricky Mayaveeya’ is gonna be bagging my groceries in a week.
The greatest birthday present I've ever got. To see reliving the war.
i love this series, me and my college buddies at murray state would pile in a dorm room and watch both shows religiously... miss the times
"Mask and Mullet" got me good. LoL 😂😂😂
Just wanna say thank you for the content!! Loved wrestling since I was a kid. Since AEW started I’ve come back into it as an adult!!
I'm so excited for this I might do a helicopter spin! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Just not in front of a flight attendant.
Yes helicopter flight attendants are brutal

Fantastic work. I have been here since episode 1. The production you have put together through this time is Too Sweet!!

"Hardly Credible" was the best name.
I am a fan of "Midcard Express" myself.

Takes me back a college pizza joint, drinking and getting rowdy watching the wars unfold.
Man the new overlays and the way this is being done is so clean! I love it
