Thank you for posting! This is one of the very best CSN(Y)-related tracks/performances out there. Such minimalist perfection.

This just ripped my guts out. Really. TOTAL mood change from start to finish. Now, I wanna curl up in a ball and cry. I was watching a hockey game, smokin' weed, drinkin' coffee, feelin' like a champ.
    Powerful stuff.

This is the first version I ever heard, on the CSN box set, and I like it better than the studio version. Thanks for posting it!

Yes. Completely different and much better version. Almost unrecognizable, in fact.

Wow Joseph, thanks for posting this version of Got It Made. Sounds great with just Stills on keyboard and Nash singing with him.. This recording was from the CS&N unplugged concert on November 18th, 1989, held at the United Nations General Assembly Hall, NYC. This song was from the Benefit Concert for ''The Children of The Americas'', which was Simulcast on WXRK Radio, NYC..Seeing it was Simulcast was probably one reason it wasn't re-recorded & made into another CS&N Album/CD. **If you know anything about CS&N/CSN&Y, having anything to do with the UN is probably the main reason for them not putting anymore time or money into this concert & turning it into another Album/CD, to generate more money for that benefit......

Stills was a sprightly 44 years old at the time :)

Definitely the best version of this song. I've been thinking of making a music video with this version of the song that hopefully visualizes the lyrics.

One of my favourites off of their gigantic "Best of" box set 1991 release. I had never heard their music before, yet this track stood out from so many other great songs, for some reason. Not just that it doesn't need a guitar, but due to its profound and enigmatic lyrics.
My father introduced me to their music 30 years ago. He is an incurable Counterculture optimist who did a lot of LSD back in the day, opposed the Vietnam War, just turned 71 and hopefully has many years ahead of him yet.
My favourite lyric is: "Hard set of changes, for anyone that I know / But you're gonna make it - better for me and you / And everyone that I know."
Yes, that is what is happening to the human race now, in 2023, with the confluence of AI, biotechnology and climate change. But I believe we're going to make it, and the better for all of us. We are being forced to finally grow the f*ck up.
RIP David Crosby! 82 is hardly 'too soon', but it always feels too soon with giants like him.

@@gabetedino2879 I saw them live twice, in 2000 and 2002. 2000 concert I was 21 and it was the first concert I'd ever been to. At the time, these guys weren't even 60 yet but were thought of as 'old rockers' by the standards of the time lol. And they hadn't toured since 1974. I wondered if they still had it. From the moment they opened with "Carry On" I was like, "Yep. They still have it." They were amazing. My dad was...crying.
Now 80-year-old rockers are still performing, and are still good. Many of these guys will perform until they drop. Why stop doing what you love? And all the best to them.
