Great video Brian! This will be a definite addition when the time comes. I have a older Tundra w/out a backup camera/monitor. Haloview makes a license plate camera for hooking up a trailer....it will be a "must" addition also. Thanks for all this great information!
Thanks Richard! Backup cameras on your tow vehicle and camper are a game changer. I don't use the side marker cameras as much, simply because our tow mirrors are so good. If they weren't as good as they are, I would use those cameras a lot more.
Awesome job…..the perfect how to video I’ve been searching for. They made a very good investment in choosing you to showcase their system….time for me to upgrade !
Thanks a ton for the video! I installed the exact same system and very happy with it. I must have a short somewhere though. I wired power in through the marker lights same as you, but I noticed my right turn signal and right brake light don’t work when the lights are on. When I turn the lights and camera off, everything works fine…
It's been a really good system, we really enjoy ours! Chasing electrical issues like that are a pain. I hope you find out what the issue is. Thanks for watching!
@@ColoradoCamperman I’m guessing I nicked the insulation from a wire trying to fish them out of a tiny hole in the sheet metal. The rig was supposedly pre-wired for a Furrion, but when I removed the cover no wires were present. So far, the only feature I wish the system had is the ability to zoom in a bit. I would seriously consider upgrading if they made a system with this feature. Seems like this could be done via an app/firmware update.
Nice job...but what's the deal with all the wire for the main camera antenna. Why didn't they make it built in to the camera like the side marker ones. Seems a little ridiculous. I'm not keen on drilling anymore holes in my roof than necessary. Not your fault they designed it that way, just seems strange. The antenna on ours is but in to the camera.
Thanks. I would have loved if they did a camera like the side marker ones! The problem is video feed transmission. They do make rear cameras like the side marker lights, but they are for shorter trailers. So, if you have a shorter trailer, you could probably get that camera. If not, you'll have the wires like ours. Thanks for watching!
How come you don't use the marker light as your mount instead of drilling new holes? One less marker light doesn't matter you have 2 others. That's what I did on my Coleman. I just use my running lights witch I like to run because of the lights I installed on my truck to energize the camera to constantly monitor the back of my camper Want everyone to see me coming with my 29' camper. Just calk it and your done . I do like the side camera's but since my camper is only 28' I'm not going to bother with those. Besides my mirrors pretty much give me a good line of site. But cool anyway.
Lol, no problem! I actually took all my broncos stuff down. It seems like the NFL cares more about political messages than they do about playing football. I stopped watching all NFL games this last year, and it has been great! I have my Sundays back, lol! Funny thing is, I don't miss it one bit. Thanks for watching Chris!
Hey Brian, where did you put the round rubber piece on the camera wire that goes on the mount? It does not seem to fit into the wire hole on the bracket. Thanks for your input.
Hello, the rubber piece goes through there, but you really have to work it to fit. There should be a rubber grommet where it fits the camera mount. I had to carefully use a flathead screwdriver to get it on there. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
All those wires.....all those wire nuts and soldering....Bruh, why not use t-taps? why not use wireless camera? Life is shorter than you think. Make it as easy. as possible....take it easy...Thx for the effort. Keep helping mankind. We need more givers in the world.

Now u can use the cam footage for your videos :) good install. I have the rear one and it helps a lot.
That's a great idea! Thanks for the tip and watching!

@@williamcarter6374 Got it, that makes sense. I've done that before! That zoom feature would definitely be a nice feature.

A drip loop in the wire going into the light would be a good idea.
I had no idea what a drop loop was until your comment! Makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the tip and watching!
I have an older truck with an aftermarket backup camera and head unit with display. Can i use my current head unit with this camera?
Probably not.
good to put a little sealant on the screws before install
Thanks for the tip and watching.

Yeah, you could do that as well. I honestly didn't even think of doing that. Thanks for watching.
And thank you Brian for covering up the Bronco picture🤣🤣🤣
