funny thing is that my computer physics teacher wanted us to make a game in a older code. all it required us to do is to make a game with at least 9 different choices. And the program of choice was BASIC, a form of code made in the 1960's (that's before pong was made) that beats your age by 50 years! and I made an rpg. we could do at most 100 pixles but that's slow, so I used a only 25-pixel wide screen. with the dash ability every single time you move you have 8 choices. making the mark pretty quickly. actually I can't remember if I already showed this to you. or if I only showed this to 1actose and AIA.
@@froguish I don’t think it would get as many views as pizza tower. But making a game in a old limited language like this is actually quite fun. Because you aren’t mad at the programs decisions (you don’t have really any to compare it to for the time it was made) and knowing that you made a video game that could predate pong. With the main difference today with the code is that it runs a lot faster. Is a really good and fun challenge. I would recommend it. Even if it isn’t for a youtube video. It helped me learn how to adapt to new languages more quickly and shine even if what I had is very limited. Just like you did for this video.
damn bro this video quality is so good! you deserve more subs. remember me when ur famous :) found you on tiktok the best thing that MIT could do is probably just shut the app down so the school cant use it anymore
My first game engine was Scratch, and I'm honestly glad because I had a lot of fun with this. But I don't want to know what would happen if mit app inventor was my first instead. x~x
oh man... in one of my game dev courses, the teacher had us make a simple narrative game in (drumroll please) Roblox. Like, why?? I asked if I could use RPGMaker, as I actually had some experience with it, and he said the point of the exercise was to use unfamiliar tools... but it was Game Writing 101??? It would have been easier to point us to Twine and have us go ham, but nah. Clearly Roblox is superior. I guess some teachers just like throwing curveballs.
Hey! I unfortunately do not remember anything about this project so I don't feel like i have the capabilities to make a tutorial. I do however still have the project so I exported it as a .aia and i have the link to the project here github.com/froguish/smithsurdle
great vid but stop using that blue emoji eating a pb and j its kinda uncomftrable to look at or just the blue guy in genral, other than that criteak the video is realy nice
I love devblogs like this! This is truly amazing, keep going.
found this on tiktok, decided to watch, and it was a good decision.

Imagine seeing Scratch and thinking that coding like that with no other options would be a good way to make apps in your engine.

@@The-EJ-Factor ill definitely consider it!
This is seriously the video quality of an youtuber with more than 100,000 subs. You are massively underrated
I looked up app inventor just for fun and as soon as I saw the UI I just noped out
I kinda assumed this was a 10k sub channel when i saw this on tiktok, suprised by your video quality vs subcount

thanks, and i honestly couldn’t agree more the app is causing more harm than good lmfao

Came from a random TikTok, but your channel seems really cool. Suprising that you have less then 1000 subs.
Keep it up man, we believe in you.
thanks!
Great video!
This is such a good video and it has surprisingly few views
