🌹What a beauty of a song. 🎼🎓James Taylor's music always amazes me, turns me around. I'm also grateful for every musician playing with🎼🎓Mr. Taylor and to the BBC for sharing these classic recordings. 🇨🇦✌🏻🎶❤️✨🌎💫
70's. True artists weren't afraid to go into a TV studio and really play "live" !! No pre-recorded backing tracks, no autotune, just authentic musicians and incredibly amazing vocals. As usual thank you James for reminding us once again of the great music that was produced in those years! 🙏❤🙏
I would sell my left kidney and fly around the world anywhere to see James, The Section and Carole play through Mud Slide Slim from the start to finish.
Life is so hectic, but James Taylor is one of only a handful of recording artists/singers that put me at peace almost immediately. So glad he’s been and always will be a part of my musical life. ‘Love Always’ Immanuel!
Before joining JT, Carole was in a group named "The City" with Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar Guitar (Danny introduced Carole to JT in New York) and Charles Larkey Bass..who would later become Carole's husband. Jim Gordon played drums but declined joining the group. The album "Now That Everythings Been Said" is good but Carole was not into touring and with label troubles... the album never caught on and the group disbanded. Kortchmar for many years played on Carole's and JT's albums He also played guitar with the band Jo Mama ( Abigale Haness Vocals, Charles Larkey )Bass), Joel O'Brien Drums. Ralph Schuckett Keyboards) who often backed up Carole's early solo career. O'Brian, Korthmar, Zachary Wiesner and James Taylor were The Original Flying Machine which played at the famed Night Owl Cafe.
It just doesn't get any better! I've been listening to and following J.T. since the beginning. He's just as magical in his way today, as he ever was. You can always find yourself in his music! James is his own style, and his own touch... It's therapeutic for me! He's one of my "go to" things in times of trouble or desperation... has been for decades! God bless you James! Thank you so much! Great group you put together here! REAL artists, REAL musicians, PURE TALENT!!! Thank you sir, could we have some more? : )
The band....Carole King Piano, Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar Guitar, Leland Sklar Bass, Russ Kunkel Drums. Kortchmar a childhood friend of JT's and member of The Original Flying Machine with JT, introduced Carole to JT.
You are still so timeless JT ! You have been a part of My life for as long as I can remember. Your Songs bring back so many memories of the best of times. Growing up with your music has always brought Me Joy! Thank you for ALL the memories JT! 🎵 💞 ✌️ God Bless You!
James!! SO GREAT. What an amazing gift to the world. Love this song, that particular era, and that particular album MSSATBH is my favourite. James and Joni are the BEST singer-songwriters thus far, hands down. Thankyou James for sharing this video!!
so . I thought the bass player was an old friend of mine... I asked my wife... who does that look like?... she says.. Jesus?.. I guess all them long hair guys all look alike... one of the best reasons to love my wife is she laughs at all my jokes.. the other reason is.. I laugh at all of hers 🤠
thanks for sharing.. I have run into Leland online.. it's not the same guy.. a good guy... but not the same one I thought when I first saw this video... the difference has to do with collective efforts on the part of my friend and I.. to climb the rainbow 🌈 as often as possible.. he got out of the army telling them he'd never come down.. we never have either... far out Man.. the view is great
My older brother hooked me up to listening to your music James in the 70's so heard you in the house and happy I did enjoy the holiday's

Pure, golden voice....JT is our National Treasure !
Great! Should play more songs from the early years at shows, especially from the 70's to 90's. Thanks, James!
I agree! At concerts, James is too often playing "the hits" when there are so many gems meant to be played!

He's not using a capo ...ha. Is this song in open G tuning? I really like it...
First concert was 1972.
Carole was born to play with James. And vice versa
James Taylor playing a Martin acoustic - not his trusty Gibson J-50?!
@Linda Pietrasz . . . Which is exactly when he played a J-50.
