Man out of a 12th scale that result is awesome that's actually a credit to the manufacturer I like to see companies producing rc cars cheap with a goal of producing quality rc cars that's definitely a win for them 👊
Nice air . That takes practice as I’m learning lately . So I built this ramp today out of a 4x8 and used a piano hinge , beveled the corners at the peak so I can fly both ways but one side is shorter . I used the steel strip with the holes to hold the sides and made them both equal so I can adjust equally . The last thing I did was coat the wood red guard . Everything I used I had laying around and didn’t spend so I got lucky . The red guard stuff is for rolling over new shower board (concrete or green board ) to make a waterproof membrane . It’s grippy too . Works great so far but since I can get more air I have to practice and build a correct ski ramp . You know , build it the right way . This was just a fast one to lose the drywall board and brick . Nice thjng is it folds up and can be tucked away . It’s going to work for now . I failed my first flips and got scairt . I ll try again tomorrow . I can see how it works becasue when I hit them brakes in the air the car started front flipping .
Almost pulled the trigger on a WLtoys 144010 and MJX 16207 from Aliexpress and then learned about Rlaarlo. Just ordered me a AMX12 and XDKJ-001. Double the price but they look so much better in every aspect.
my brother and I just got one of this. while setting up, my sister interfered with my brother's one and manage to solder the pins together. now my brother's doesn't drive, the fan ramps up to full speed. also, there seems to be a model with a slightly different internals. the power button on mine is as shown in the video while in my brother's model, the button is its own module
Hey great video! I’m a newbie and ordered this exact car. My hard shell 3S don’t fit in this car. What form factor battery would fit in the car? Or do you change the battery compartment to make it bigger? Cheers
Man I was scrolling through my subscriptions and I saw your Channel. I haven’t watched you In so long! I’m so proud I remember when I first subscribed to you and you only had 200 subs! Nice Job Man!
Hey matthew, could you help me with this one thing. I want to know if the rlaarlo am x12 stock has 4mm pins on the motor or 3.5mm... would be really nice to get some info on that! thanks
Hello I hope you have a merry and great Christmas and a even better Happy new year thank you for your wave and thank you for saying Merry Christmas to all of us we appreciate it and we thank you❤🎅👍💯
Sick car 👌 I’ve one on order and it was $149.99 there going to go up very soon to $249.99 but if you order off the Rlaarlo site you will pay the $149.99 before they go up 😎👍
I just recently bought two wltoys remotes the 124016 and 124017. I think they're both built pretty well and are very fast for 1/12 scales. I like the way that one that you had was running that was pretty impressive. I was just looking at that the other day but since I already bought two brand new ones I just did not want to spend the money right now on a third one. Also wanted to let you know you're driving skills are insane man!
Hey dude! 👋 Wltoys are amazing rc cars, their value for money is hard to beat! I'd say this is definitely a car for someone looking for all the bells and whistles. Alot of the parts on the rlaarlo can be used on the wltoys for upgrades if you choose to later on 😀
Finally a clean 3s speed run 👏👏 My 1:18 WL 184016 is on par with these 2s/3s speeds, but it’s insanely overpowered and difficult to keep on the ground, difficult to mod, and so far impossible to find parts for.
@@MatthewSimm yep; gotta use droop screws to give it a low front for aero. The X-12 should be easier to mod; can’t wait for it to arrive. I hope the steering can be tightened up - in most of the vids they look a little wobbly like the 184016, which after some use is actually pretty severe, but the servo saver is super tiny and the belly pan curves up right there and WL have actually cnc’d a clearance just enough for the stock pos SS. Anyway, great vid thanks again👏👏
Sick little buggy, I kind of want so much so i sold my Losi Mini-T 2.0 to make room for one of these little 12th scale buggies since it's a lot like a down scaled 10th scale race buggy.
Haha! Excellent overview, test and Bash brother! You really gave it a great bash indeed! It’s really hard to find much fault with this thing. Got mine coming soon! Managed to get those steel wheels too! Wicked good video my friend! Happy holidays to you and yours!
Hey dude, 👋 I know I have been slow uploading. I haven't gone anyway, it's just been a bit rough this year, especially moving a lot (I don't want to bore you haha) I can say that 2023 I have lots planned, I've got a bigger hobby room planned and some cool ideas. Appreciate the support dude 🙏
BTW it's NOT CHEAP for a 250-280 1:12 rc car, but it does come with everything you want and some spare parts, I recommend putting the lower gear pinion because it leads to power issues with the esc, it cogs (shaking effect on full throttle but no moving) so lower gearing is better.
FIRST MAKE SURE YOU LOCTITE BOTH GRUB SCREWS ON THE CENTER DRIVE SHAFT AND ALL OTHERS ON THE ENTIRE CAR!!!This is an insane lil car I'm not gonna lie and on 3s it's insane! However....it isn't very durable at all after a couple crashes I bent the center driveshaft and broke a front dogbone smh and I recommend upgrading the shocks or at least putting some better oil in them maybe thicker I got tired of the chassis smacking the ground after every jump....
I would prefer this on wltoys but still for the cheap 3s ready to run as well as very durable i will go for mjx hypergo 16208 Mjx hypergo brushless is the best
@@MatthewSimm 😄 man you have tried it 3 months ago i have watched your video on it the same car about which iam talking about 😄 Its was also the first video i warched about that car
@@MatthewSimm But i love this desing. Lot better than original Dumbo RC. Better when touch, little bit smaller. I unpacked my Rlaarlo today :-) Its nice small buggy. Only cons for me are screws. They has hex 1.5mm, but thread is not corespond to hex standard. It should have M2,5 or M3 standard hex screws for 2mm wrench which are used in every better RC car. Also changing of pinion seems to me complicated when half of buggy has to be dismounted. But all other features and global quality seems to me okay. Carbon is real, not only plastic part which looks like carbon. But in price 150$ it was very good choice. But standard price 250$, there can someone hesitate. Because it is not far from for example TRX Bandit or some HPI or Corally small cars and there customer can pick easily something different. I will go with it tomorrow and im looking forward to see riding it on the street :-)
Best bet is to look up the battery tray dimensions and cross the with a 3s battery, that's what I've always done. I'd recommend a 2200mah, that should fit nice with decent run time!
Well done buddy looks like thay will start out selling wltoys thay look really nice do you know what the weight difference is between that and the wltoys is as always buddy your videos are awesome keep up the good work cheers 👍👌😎

Having both WLtoys, LC racing and the Rlaarlo, the quality of the Rlaarlo is on par with LC racing while the WLtoys feels a bit less.

It’s literally a 1/12 scale Arrma typhoon mmm cool I guess but it’s too small I see no fun in that scale im unless it’s a crawler or on road racer
Tried emailing you but it didn't work unfortunately.
No way are these real carbon fibre, you've never seen or delt with carbon fibre if you believe this is anything but a print on plastic
It's carbon fiber.
Why is everyone going crazy over this glorified wltoys
Lc racing were the original designers I believe but honestly, it deserves the hype, such a fun little rc car!
