I appreciate mods like these. When I was younger I always thought halo 3 was the perfect game and for many reasons it could be, however. Most people always said the prefer the halo 2 campaign over 3. Which at the time I thought was a little silly but I could see it. I just loved 3 and all it's glory. As I grew older I now understand and see the faults in the game I loved, especially with mods like these. The covenant being allied with us is awesome, I just wish they showed that more. Even more so, I wish it wasn't just elites. In 2 it was shown that Hunters, Grunts were on our side as the arbiter, what happened to that? Surely not all of the grunt and jackal race just blindly believed the prophet of truth. Especially having murdered the council and being the only prophet left. The flood was shown to be very scary here, in terms of infecting people and the many forms they could take. I wish they showed that more as well. In 2 they were completely capable of maning a tank and other vehicles. Imagine the Warthog run but being chased by other hogs and vehicles manned but the flood.
Personally, I liked H2's story more because it's when the Covenant first invade Earth and it's pretty chaotic. As a player it makes you feel like you have a chance to turn the tide, whereas H3 shows that it was a failure of an endeavor and now you're part of a small resistance. Plus, I'd argue H2 had the better soundtrack overall while H3 had few good tracks.
I was not expecting that infected Tartarus head to show up that was really cool seeing those infected brute honor guard was lore accurate I was pretty bumped when I didn’t see any the first time I played this level
This looks 10 times more chaotic than I remember. Then again, i've only played this level once, so I can't really spot the differences besides you getting some of the bigger baddasses as teammates here.
They aren't immune. They just cant be converted into combat forms, due to being a colonly of worms and not a single entity. They can be infected, but would basically just be used as extra biomass.
