- Hi Everyone and welcome back to my channel or if your new here its fantastic to have you.
Today i want to walk you through my latest attempt at running the Yorkshire Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales England, and what we can learn when things don't quite go to plan.
I'm still learning to make videos and in my 'creating for learning' era as i work out my style and how to make entertaining videos. So if you have any feedback please send it my way.

I completed the Yorkshire three peaks last year, just walking and I was completely unprepared. I completed it just shy of 12 hours but it destroyed me. The legs cramps were horrendous. Coming from BMF and finding your channel has given me the motivation to train and try again. :) failure is normal and should be promoted more.

Great video. It's awesome to see someone talk about the good and the bad of training and performance days and then to introspectively get the good from the bad of those days. That's great message that athletes young and old can benefit from. I'm currently laid up with some pretty severe soft tissue damage i took during some rock climbing training so my prayers are out to your friends speedy recovery too. I know it's not easy to take the time to heal and build it back up correctly. Been hard to take it slow but ive been using old videos of my sessions to work on weaknesses and training in other ways that i can or mental sanity and to not fall off as much. Love the channel and your vibe. Keep it going and best of luck with the future training for your Ultras
Totally agree, we know we need recorvery but i do feel that we so often see injurey to goal completion stories we forget the middle ground and pain that comes with your current training being thrown off. I'm glad to hear that your focusing on the mental side of it too so when you do come back fully your strong in every sense of the work

Here from Beard. And your running in Yorkshire... Hell yes. Welcome to my homeland. You should give the Langbaurgh Loop a go, it's a 40 mile walk through some really gorgeous scenery. I tred it 30 odd years ago but had the wrong footwear, blistered to hell at the halfway point. I've never tried running it....
