I am trying to make some bookmarks for a bridal shower and thought this pattern would be perfect! Since the bridesmaids colors are lilac, I will try to blend lilac, pink, etc . Beautiful, I'm on my 3rd tile with this. Just love it but I think I will stop after 3 but I was thinking the pattern would look really nice on a book mark. I have found that a gray colored pencil works well for shading.
Shading with graphite first is from my classical training as a botanical illustrator. We would never shade on top of color. It's a method called grisaille. Thanks for you question.
