Mine turns on after the first beep and the second beep just turns it off, I'm doing this whole it is completely off(I'm using the slim)

@@iStuwie I was able to get it into safe mode once, but only once. What did it for me was when it was turning off and was flashing blue I held the power button until it beeped twice and that did it, hopefully this helps

I was able to get into safe mode all the time, but when my PS4 broke and I actually had to use safe mode. I tried updating the software, and it was stuck on 100% for an hour or so. Being stupid, I decided to turn it off. Ever since, I couldn’t get into safe mode. It just beeps to turn on, and after 15 seconds beeps to turn off.

@@iStuwie I never had to use safe mode so I'm not sure if something like that happened to me but my PlayStations disk drive is broken so it's basically useless either way sense I can't update it therefore I can't sign in (this has happened to all of my PlayStations, all 3 so I don't think I'll be getting a PlayStation unless it's mailed to me lol) but anyways it's not working I was just able to get it into safe mode cuz I can't even update through safe mode

I have a PS4 Slim. At first, I did the two beeps and it just turned off (like most people are having trouble with). What worked for me is I unplugged the PS4 cable (while it was off), put it back in the outlet, and then did the two beeps.

you probably have an old version of the ps4 controller, the 2016 version will work. If your PS4 came as a slim, u will have the 2016 version.

Everyone knows how to get into safe mode however some people’s ps4s can’t get into it.Some ps4s just stay on and the tv saying no signal. I had this problem and I was trying to get it to work for like four hours and I found the solution which was bending the metal strips in the ps4 hdmi port which allowed the hdmi cord to connect to the ps4 and process over the image and sound that everyone is struggling with

Guys if your having the problem where it turns off, pay attention to the LEDs. When it "Turns off" the LEDs shut off completely. Hold the power button again and it should blink blue then apon the second beep it should activate safe mode.

To get it to safe mode in ps4 slim you have you to get your controller and press the middle button the turn it completely off from there , then it try holding the button

I've booted into safe mode, and plugged the controller into the console with the official USB cable, but when I press the PS button it doesn't do anything. The controller itself along with the USB port are clearly functional, since the Dualshock glows orange to indicate that it's charging, but there's nothing useful beyond that. It's very frustrating. Anyone else having the same problem?

Just Get a usb initialize the ps4 then after you do that you may get a problem where it dont turn on and you feel you have fail i think there was a bunch of left out instructions. You have to use this method . You already erase all accounts but you should update the latest update im not in safe mode now but use the update tab i think it maybe 2 or 3 then update using usb . It should update and boot up correctly

I bought a PS4 Slim and had thought the video display had gone bust, but turns out it was the HDMI cable was inadequate.
Doing this wasn't necessary, thankfully. However, I was disappointed it didn't have the system version 9.00 or less (came with 10.71). 😕

You need an actual usb cable, not simply a charging one. Make sure its not a cheap cable.
