Hi there! I have to ask. I am making myself the same corset, also reversable. However, i just thought about the fact that i can not sew the sids an backpieces together as the pattern says so. Because i will have an ugly side. Please can you tell me how you did it? I can tell from the video that it is very nicely done, but i cant see how you did have both sides sew so nicely. I already cut my fabric 🥲 thank you!!!!!
Thanks! They are called aglets or shoelace ends/tips, and you use a crimping tool. I purchased a kit that had the tool and the metal tips on Amazon. I'll be honest, it took me a while to remember what they were called. It's not a word I use often lol
Stunning!! Thanks for sharing! I am making the same pattern and this helped a lot. Where did you get the gorgeous white blouse that you wore the corset with?
Rewatching the video it looks like I made 1/2" double-fold bias tape, so when it's unfolded it measures 2" wide, but when folded in half and half again it ends up being 1/2" thick.
@@thevintageraven5822thanks so much for the reply! I finished 😅 definitely not the wisest pick for a first sewing project but, I DID IT! She's a full on Monet but, I'm still proud of it. I did the A pattern this time, but I'd like to try the C next. This one was a bit tight on the upper back and sits high into my under arms so I think I need a little extra on the straps if I make it again.
Bailey sarian in the background whilst sewing is a vibe
That looks so good!!! I like the bows and the color of the ribbons!!!
Thank you for this!! I was just thinking about doing this with this pattern but I wasn’t sure it would work
It looks so good!!!! 😩
This looks great and thanks for tip on putting a bone in the front. I’ll remember that for when I can finally get my hands on this pattern
Wonderful job! I loved your choice of colours and patterns.

What size are the zip ties? Wonderful tutorial, by the way! ♥️
Very pretty 😀
Great video! What is the tool that you used to add the metal pieces to your ribbon?

Thank you! The top was made using the Polaris pattern from French Poetry. It's a quick and easy sew.
@@thevintageraven5822 Thanks so much 😊all the best to you💜
Can you just buy bias tape rather than making it? If so, what size would it be? I'm in a time crunch 😅
oh that is a good question. Yes you can buy it, but I don't remember what size this was. I usually go for 1/2" or 3/4" depending on the project.
