If you want to say thanks for any of my content you can always buy me a coffee - I don't actually drink coffee so any money received would be spent on used camping gear and the odd can of own-brand energy drink.

I bought what I call a cagool XL from Army and Navy as an outer coat. Very lightweight and packs down small just to give me that extra layer.
Not tried it yet but every layer counts.
Nice. Hope it performs well for you.
Interesting to see what others recommend, my current waterproof is a RAB Downpour Eco that is only about 2 years old and from day 1 i wasn't that impressed with it. Like yours it seemed to soak water up and not bead. I reproofed it a few months back with Tekwash and it seems a lot better now but still not as good as I thought a RAB jacket would be.
Yeah, I did a mountain walk with a mate who had the Downpour Eco and his wetted out pretty quickly as well.
Iv got a cheap decathlon coat does the job well mate I think alot off expensive jackets are heavy and to be honest iv got a decathlon jacket that does the job well and it's breathable and does not break the bank buddy 👍 💯
Thanks. I hear good things about Decathlon stuff so I'll try and check that out.
@@TheWalkingKev I can send you the link off the jacket I use mate if that helps mate 😉👍💯
@@andrewgreen7996 yeah that'd be good as I imagine they have loads of stuff
It's the 1/2 jacket Raincoat mate on there website I'm struggling to send you the link it's £11.99 in mens buddy 👍
Very nice 👍
Thanks.
I’m afraid that would be in the bin 🙈
Pointless if you get wet in it. I agree that even if it’s 10 years old it’s surprising the inner layer is peeling off so bad.
I bought a Flallraven Anorak in the sale.
Not tested it yet. I need to wear it in our Welsh summer 😁
I can't bear to throw anything out. The Rab logo is still looking nice!
No expert in this field Kev but if you do get any good recommendations it would be interesting to know
Also can you recommend a winter set of waterproofs as I can’t decide
Many thanks Jeff
My North face water proof leggings, are excellent. Especially on my e-bike. Paid £28 brand new on ebay. Free delivery. Get a decent waste size though. 👌
Any heavier weight waterproof should be fine. Mountain Warehouse Ultra or Extreme waterproofs are decent and can be found cheap on eBay. I've got a couple and they've been solid.
@@TheWalkingKev Agreed Kev. They are all very good and much of a likeness tbh. And thanks as always Kev, because I go bargin hunting for goods thanks to your recommendations 😊
Paramo
I've not owned any of their gear... So far.
Had a Paramo Cascada recently and had to send it back to Amazon as it was not waterproof. Not good
