      Thanks Joe. I was a heavy equipment operator for many years then later on in life I discovered Kubota’s. Great machines but watch out. There’s plenty of info out there that’s not accurate but you’ll know what’s right because of your background.
      We love these machines so much we decided to shut down our automotive shop and go into designing and fabricating accessories for the BX and Kubota’s larger machines. Just love the job.
      Congrats on your BX. The best machine on the market, hands down.

    Got my boots from you, got my ball joint remover tool, now I need the time, and a pair of fresh cotter pins. Good tip to leave the inner joint mounted on the steering ram, but nice to see one off the ram to fully see its mechanics. Thanks for all you do! these boots are an arse pain to keep dealing with, so glad to finally have a durable replacement.

    Thanks, Paul! Watching you videos since start of channel. Saved me few thousands already as I am able to service my BX myself. Current boots problem is heading me now - during last service inspection showed that after 3 years Kubota original boots started cracking. Here in New Zealand we do not have many options for getting aftermarket parts except originals... So, thanks again for guidelines and I will be replacing this parts next months probably.

      In one of your videos you got a "Kubota BX Inner Tie Rod Boot Upgrade Kit" from eBay. At that time your advice was to get one as it was looking good quality product, but the seller had at that time some strange pricing (like millions of dollars) for item and that was the end of story. I had a look now - product is back and the price is $25. Did you have any update about those boots? I can't remember I seen one, but may be I just missed it.You installed them on one of the tractors - did it survive better than originals? Is it an option for solving the problem? I am looking to order a set from somewhere and want a better than original quality as I am a bit disabled and try to avoid unnecessary activity as much as possible.

    Just a tip on what I do to reinstall those lock rings. Slide them up a tapered shaft like a punch, reamer or whatever you have. Once you get them expanded, take a needle nose pair of vice-grips and squeeze the rings together. Take off the shaft, slip on whatever you're working on and release the vice-grips. Took me years of fighting those (expletives deleted) before I figured out this solution.

  • @troyhenckel8077
    @troyhenckel8077 4 года назад

    Man, you weren't kidding about those tie rod boot retainer rings, what a pain in the rear. But, took my time and one step at a time, got them on and ready roll. We'll see how they hold up in this desert heat and blowing dust come spring and summer.

    • @7863348
      @7863348  4 года назад

      Yes what a pain those clips are but after you do them a few times they get easier. Personally we haven’t had one customer say theirs broke so your test will really count. Urethane is supposed to fight off UV and prevent fading and rotting. It’s also supposed to remain flexible in extreme cold.
      Hope they work out for you. Kubota sure made a blunder of the oem boots.

    Paul,I got a full set of these boots of yours in January. This past week I put them on as I had to do the front axle seals anyways. Hopefully this comment goes a way to help others that you have or will be selling these too. I am going to say I was a bit nervous about doing them because of all the trouble you describe having with the clips. But I was willing to tackle this anyways, as Kubota boots wouldn't last much over a year anyways. I put my boots on with the tie rod ends still attached to the tractor. Flipping them over and resting them on the front housings I did the outer ones, then removing the outer half by counting the turns and also measuring the lock nut as you did. I installed the inner ones while still on the tractor then reassembled. On the first one, the first thing we did was attempt to put on the small clip. We did have a heck of time. My impatient father was helping me, and after about two minutes of it not popping right on he threw it and said "heck with this, next time buy the right crap, this will never work." However I found the clip in a dust pile, and after soaking the boot in hot water for several minutes first we got it on. The big clip, I had no difficulty with. I pushed it onto the boot into the first indent before even putting the boot on the tractor. Then pushing the boot in place, I easily walked the clip into place. In fact I thought you were crazy for having such difficultly. After this, the other 3 went on like a breeze. I took the joint apart, and my impatient father took the clip to the desk and very quickly popped on the little clip with no issues, in less then 2 min. I approached the big clip the same way, and in no time had all 4 done. This mod went together way easier then what did describe in the video.-Mike

    Hello Paul; Another problem with the B3200. the factory thermostat is (82c/ 176f) too cold. The temp gauge would barely get above the peg in the winter. Because the tractor sleeps outside, the hydraulic fluid would clog up on the Front End Loader. Kobota no longer supplies a warmer thermostat. I used a generic (88c/192f) thermostat courtesy
    of Canadian Tire. The temp gauge now rises nicely 30 to 40 percent and hydraulic thaws out.

    Hello Paul; Had a problem with the B3200. The fan belt was cutting into the sheath of the tachometer flexible cable. I used two cable ties to hold the tachometer cable closer to the engine block. Then I changed the fan belt. (9.5 mm. x 940 mm.) instead of (9.5mm x 950mm.). The NAPA equivalent (10mm. x 967mm.) is too long.

    Actually I found them searching for poly boots. There are actually two sizes, inner is 14-34-24 and outer is 12-29-24. Not sure which dimension is which but I assume the difference is why the outer boot was loose on the larger spring in the video.

    • @dalepres1
      @dalepres1 7 лет назад

      I ordered the boots from the european supplyer. I ordered the correct outer size and the correct inner size and they replaced the smaller inner size with more of the outersize. I'm not going to use poorly fitting boots on my tractor so I'll order replacements from Kubota for the inner size and use the poly for the outer. I'm definitely not happy about the substitution.

      Boots with cracks in them is the same as boots on your feet that’s cracked. If cracked they let the dirt and water in which is not good. Causes wear on expensive components very fast. We don’t sell these anymore. They were a great product. People complained about the shipping costs which were out of our control so now instead of buying a complete set from us for $56. and have never had a set crack Shipping including. Now you’ll pay over $300. For OEM ones at the dealer and they won’t last. Funny how things work out sometimes.

    Kathy, any update on Paul....? How are you holding up....? We all appreciate the work and hard effort you both have put in over the years. Your reasons for discontinuing you channel are very understandable. As a viewer of your channel, I didn't understand how the subscriber and the like buttons worked. After you explained how it mattered to you and what effect it had on your business, it made a difference. I started making a effort to like all of the video's I watched. I needed it to be explained, I don't want to lose your channel and I'm sure there is lots of people who feel the same. If you and Paul decide to stay, re-educate us every now and then, to help us help you. All of our thought and prayers are with you.

Words cannot express just how heart warming it is to read everyone's prayers for both of us, something the viewers learned early on is that Paul & I are a team. Everyone here has always been so nice, not only too Paul but me as well so you all noticed we were a team early on. We appreciate all the encouragement to keeping the channel going and have decided that's exactly what we"ll do but first and far most I need to get Paul well again, pray for a speedy recovery. Yes, when health issues arise we find out so quickly how minor everything else is. We hope for a quick recovery for Paul first and fore-most and then worry about the channel after.
      I, as the fellow above am just a casual RUclipsr and am not fully educated on how it all works. With with some awareness things could turn around just by some of the current viewers changing what they do. We need good people on RUclips that show quality work and tell it like it is - never mind the entertainment value. There are far too many people making videos that are showing/endorsing shoddy work. As a licensed Mechanic here in Ontario it really bothers me seeing so much hack-type work. From what I see there are VERY few RUclips channels that impress me and yours is one of them.

      Sorry no. Maybe eBay? The last order we brought in was 500 of them and it took four months to sell them so that and along with the higher cost we just had to let them go.

    Loch is it calling in german. Are your tools in mm or inch ? Look for Winterdienst Extrem here by yt, in south Germany and Austria we have 2 - 3 Meter snow. 2 weeks snowfall, never ends!

    • @7863348
      @7863348  5 лет назад

      Well Andi we have both imperial and metric measure here. If we buy our tools in Canada they are metric but if we get them from the USA they are in inches.
      That’s a lot of snow😳. We had snow yesterday but later on in the day it changed over to rain. Now it’s all ice. Thanks for watching.

      I highly doubt it. They were just a pain in the ass for us. People didn’t want to pay the shipping and then there were the ones who complained about the price of them. Not going back at that.
