Not boring at all. I have been binge watching your videos since I found them and have learned lots about my tractor. I have always been worried about the HST fan, now thanks to you I know for sure I can do the job myself despite the dire warnings from my dealer.
Thank you Kathy for taping. Thank you Paul for taking your time showing so I (for one) can learn. If some one doesn't watch all of your videos all the way through then they didn't want to watch in the first place. As for the know it all people, well it's been my experience they don't know so much. I'm always learning, that's why I watch what others do. I have a couple calipers and have yet to use one. Now I know what I can use them for besides for what I thought they were used for. Thinking outside the box so to speak. I don't just watch your videos, sometimes I watch them more then once, and even then I watch it all the way through again. When someone that knows everything tells me what to do and how, I listen and then if it seems like it's harder or isn't going to work I do it my way. And as for the safety police, I do what works for me as safely as possible even if it's not their way. All the book learning in the world isn't going to help you if you don't watch someone do it so you can learn how things are in the real world. Books don't always help. Take care you two and God Bless! Levi~~
mi2tn Thanks Levi. We're dealing with every type of person when posting this stuff. There will be those who love you, those who hate you. those who will let you work on their Rolls Royce and others who wouldn't let you repair their garden rake. there are those who claim that my info isn't correct (that happened yesterday) yet they won't make a video to repute it. Yet they'll copy and paste tons of stuff from the net trying to convince me. Trolls they are lol. It's really guys like yourself we want to show this stuff to and we thank you for taking your valuable time to watch our channel. Keep well bud
USNERDOC Thank you my friend for your kind words. Kathy thanks you as well. I received your email and will respond later today. I'm very impressed with the new tractor of yours. Thanks for your support and for watching.
Thanks very much to both you and Kathy for making these videos - they are totally invaluable for a new BX25 owner like myself! 20hrs and going up quick - the more I use it the more I love it... gotta learn how to look after it now.
Not the least boring for those who love to maintain their equipment! Fantastic! As a kid I wish I had someone who I could have worked with for free just to learn some of the great things you do! Hint! I would hope there are some kids smart enough to accept if you had an inkling to doing such a thing! Thanks to Jon Ritter for suggesting you and others to watch! I ended up in Maintenance kinda by accident and now being retired am happy to do many things for friends and family more often! You're doing a great service! Thanks and God Bless!!
Hi Paul and Kathy; Why would you think your videos are boring? Your channel is to my estimation one of the best I've seen on here. You are very particular in your work, and that is a rarity these days.I only wish I lived close to you, because if you're not busy enough now, you would be then. And you are one lucky man to have the good wife you have. Enjoy the videos, keep'em coming!
cliff ohandley Thank you very much Cliff. We really appreciate your kind words and your absolutely right. I'm very lucky to have the love of my life. Thanks for being part of our RUclips channel.
Thanks Kathy for taking the time to shoot some video, I know Paul is busy and likes to keep moving and put work out. Keep cracking the whip and making more videos.
Paul &Kathy , You guys are NEVER BORING !!!! great video and nice tip on tie rod removal . I have seen to many "mechanics" beat that joint off ! WE are supposed to work SMARTER not HARDER ! all the best Bob k
Robert Kavich Thanks Bob. Ya unfortunately most of us seen them beat to death trying to get them off. They pretty much destroyed the knuckle by the time the tie rod was off. Like you, I feel it was easier to simply use the puller. Keep on restoring our history bud.
Such a big verity at Specialty Repairs. One day your working on classic cars and the next your back to finishing a BX that you were working on last week. Keeps it interesting and I am glad you do videos on it.
Tyler Donovan Keep in mind we only show a small portion of it. The next two days there will be no taping because of the type of work we are doing. In my opinion the best stuff don't get shown but that's not our choice. ;)
Always enjoy you and Kathy's videos. It's almost as good as being there. I'm from the State of Missouri and it is the Show Me State, so I understand your don't tell me rant. Lol. Thanks for your time and tech tips, I agree with your so called overkill techniques and I know we couldn't both be wrong. Stay warm and safe my friends.
jim dandy Thanks. So many specialists on the net. I've never won an argument on the net yet so I rather they show me than try and tell me. I think I'm a slow learner lol. Keep well my friend.
Nice job again Guys! Music Man said it well thank you Kathy for your hours of standing with that camera and listening to Paul;s jokes that you've probably heard many times before!
Very fun and timely. Both of the boots on my bx22 are shot and I thought I would have to replace the entire ball joint assembles, great information!!!!!!
***** Thanks buddy. Glad you enjoy them. We won't please everyone and that's a fact but that's OK. We'll just keep at it and the ones that don't like them can move on lol.
Hi Paul, as others have said I never find your videos boring... I even find myself watching ones in which I thought I'd have no interest... there's always something of interest and to learn. I'm just about the replace the boots on my BX1860 so having watched this I'm "really" looking forward to installing the clip. My compliments too to Kathy on her camera work. I really enjoy the banter between the two of you too... I've only recently subscribed to your channel so am working my way through old and new videos and it seems to me she's getting more involved these days which sure is a good thing. Cheers, Pete.
Peter Baynes Thanks Pete for your vote of confidence. Kathy and I really appreciate it. I agree, Kathy has brought the channel to life. When I'm doing video solo I'm pretty well serious but when she gets involved it seems she brings out the worst in me lol. Before Kathy got involved I had decided to stop doing video's and concentrate on other things but even as shy as she is she got involved and I've enjoyed doing the video's more than ever now because of it. As for the clips. Their not to bad to do. Just take your time and you'll get it done. Just remember to put a little grease in then before installing. Thanks so much for subscribing ;)
Just wanting to say thanks again for this video. I'm finally getting around to replacing that dust boots for the steering linkage and remembered your instructions on this video. I'm surprised I actually remembered where to find it, lol. Thanks again Paul.
There’s a tip for your grease gun called lock and lube. It’s an awesome tip. Easy to put on and easy to take off. I’ve broken the grease zircs trying to get it off but no more since I bought the lock and lube. Love your videos.
Hey guys thank you for the great videos I just bought my first BX 1870 although I think I should have got a BX25 lol still love my BX and your vids really help me take care of it keep up the good work guys
Hey Paul Awesome video good tips, one thing I check and lube on my bx is the fel arm retaining pins. We both have read on forums how people can get those pins out to remove the fel. The other thing I have done is convert the bulbs to LED. They last longer and are a little bright. Yes they are a little more costly, but I think well worth it. Thanks for the great video, Brian
Brian Whitney Thanks Brian. I personally haven't ran into that issue here and haven't had a customer complain about it but it is a good idea in the mean time. Most of our machines have been converted to LED lighting. Even our outside lighting on the property have been converted as well. Thanks for watching.
Love watching your videos on repairs and tips and stories and all of the other projects that you have done. Watched most all of you videos, love them all. You have and work on Orange machines, but mine is green a little 1023E some things are different but you show and explain what is going on for all the things you do, going to try and put some modes on mine like you did on yours. I will try and comment a little more but I always give you the thumbs up on all your videos. The ones that complain about something, I don’t know what to say about that but they probably complain about everything. Love how you and your wife work together with the videos. Your shop is great. In the works on having an addition put onto my current attached 2 car garage and attaching a 886 cu. Feet more with 9 foot door double in front and a single door in the back so I can get my handicap Van In there for the Michigan winter. Well I guess I could go on and on about different things but that would be to long for now. Keep up the good work and be safe. Until later take care and God Bless the hole family.
RDViper2013 Hey I love green tractors. There will always be complaints. No one can avoid that. I would like to see the ones that do complain do a video showing the right way but most of them don't do anything at all only complain. You got some great plans for your shop. Good luck with it and thanks for watching our video's. Happy Holidays.
Mr. Short, I have an Idea. You need to make/write a "Kubota Repair for Dummies" book for the rest of us. You really break things down for normal folks like me can understand. Thanks for all you do.
Hey brother I think you said people say it's Overkill something like that and he told your wife you never win that's funny when I hear that conversation what I see is someone going the extra mile to make sure their customers getting the very best service they can get I appreciate your work and I got a question I hope you can bless me with a good answer. My headlights aren't working my fuel gauge is not working I haven't found the fuse box yet I think I found it but yet to have opened it I saw you changed the switch but I'm looking for a little troubleshooting advice before I go by switch I'm about to spend a fortune on the oils I got to put in this thing. I have given you a thumbs up and I am now subscribed be blessed thank you again
If you had just said your headlights weren’t working I would have guessed head light switch but seeing you said your fuel gauge isn’t working and your asking me to give you an educated guess without doing my tests that I’d normally do and I had only one guess my guess would be a full complete instrument cluster. They’ve had issues over the years with these clusters that caused all sorts of issues including not shutting off. The clusters get wet being out in the elements and short out inside and a full replacement is necessary. Hope this helps.
Hey Paul... your timing is perfect. Many thanks for the details on the replacement of the boots as both of mine are torn. I gave up on my first try after cursing too many times. I need to go get a puller and then disassemble as you did. I know what you are talking about with the stupid spring clamps or whatever they are called. I couldn't get the old one reseated after pulling it off. I will get back at it this holiday break.
Glad it helped you out my friend. The best way to put the boots on is to remove the complete tie rod. Thank God for editing. I was loosing it there for awhile lol. Mark from Kathy and I we wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas my friend and all the best in 2015.
I noticed you had trouble taking off grease gun end on zerks, I too have same problem. I have tried other tips but they have same problem. On a lawn cart axle had a zerk on each side when i pulled it off i pulled threads and all out....great.
+Jake Schisler That grease gun I was using was new at the time. What I didn't know was that it has a pressure release. If I had used that it would have been super easy. I've also related the coupler with the newer type quick release one.
Hey folks. See you using that new Milwaukee impact driver on this work. I think you're going to really like that tool. I have the same one and have had really good service from it. And i'll tell ya, its got some strength behind it...Keep those videos coming.
Chris Conway Thanks Chris. It's a nice tool and with great power. I'll mostly use it out doing off site repairs. We use all pneumatic tooling in the shop. Thanks for commenting.
This happened to me recently also on my BX23S. Same type of pin but by the bucket. I did the same thing you did, slightly tapped in the extractor and gave it a little reversing pressure. The extractor ended up breaking off in the zerk. Had to purchase a new pin, 75$ ouch
So I fix and repair tractors and stuff. When I delivered a mower to an older guy the other day he showed me his BX1870. He told me he couldn't get his deck to go down for cutting the lawn. So I took a look at it for him and tell me if I'm wrong but the speed adjustment under the front of the seat should turn the rod as well as the plastic knob on the end of the rod. Only the plastic was turning but the rod attached to the plastic knob never turned so i think he has his valve shut off. This machine is barely worn in and the place he bough it from wants to charge this poor guy an arm and a leg to come and get it. If you remove the sticker on the front of the knob will that expose a screw or something that locks the plastic knob to the metal shaft? Anyway keep up the great videos!
Paul, Great job, from your video I finally found the grease fitting under the floor covering. I had thought it was only in the newer tractors, mine is an 09. The little flap blended in with the rest of the floor covering and seem to be almost glued in. I also check my boots on the front and they are also broke... yes both of them, now I have another project to do by spring. Is there a possible guard to put on the bx to make sure they don't break open again???? I run my in the hills of West Virginia and it is mostly trees and rocks up there, so running anywhere up there it runs over branches and rocks, and they are bound to be hit and cracked again. Thanks GREG
gd c Hey Greg glad you got something out of the video. It's a pain when you find issues but at lease you know how to handle them now. Yes you can fabricate a guard for the boots. I may build a set over the holidays and do a video on it so stay tuned. Happy Holidays!
Paul Short I have been rewatching the video and I don't see that you mentioned the part number for the boot. I have tried to go on to one of the Kubota sites to determine the part number before going to the dealer to get a couple of the boots to replace mine. Do you still have the part number for these or will the part number you have only be good for Canada parts??? Thanks. GREG
gd c I don't have the part number here because I'm not in the office. That being said the part numbers will be different from the Canadian number. Why not just get your dealer to look it up?
Have ever done a video on replacing the lift arms for the mower deck. The boss that fits into the elongated slot slips out on one side dropping the deck and I have to reattach it to finish mowing.
thanks paul and Kathy , great info... I'm enjoying my new BX25D I got delivery in sept .. looking forward to any blizzard that comes my way ... paul I'm gonna use the monk joke ifin ya don't mind ... take care
Another Great video. I have a question have you had to replace the Th side rear link for a mid mount mower. I got the old part out but I'll be darned if I can get the new part back in. Thanks Tom
Another great informative video. I know you said last video you wouldn't respond to any specific questions regarding this "new opportunity" that may happen. But I was wondering if you have a timeline for when it may happen ?? Take care God Bless
Enjoyed your videos. I need to remove a front tire on a BX23. Removed the 4 nuts and the tire does not "fall off" like they did in your video. I didn't want to damage anything by forcing it. I assume there is nothing else holding it on and I just need to pull harder to force it off? Thanks
Good stuff - well Paul I noticed the grease gun sure stuck to the fittings. Do I have a story for you. Many years ago I bought a brand new set of disks to redo my pasture and of course the bearings weren't grease to my likings so I got out my grease gun and by the time I was finished I pulled out 4 zerk fitting, clear out of the holes, looked like I pulled the threads clear out, there was nothing left. Off I goes to the dealer and tells them about it and they just started laughing. Seems the zerk fitting on the disks were the pressed in ones without any threads , long story short they sold me a grease gun end made for them type of zerks . We all had a good laugh. Take Care.
Steve Rob I hate new grease fittings on a gun. They are to tight. great story. I've seen those. I have a great fitting kit that pretty well takes care of all the crap that comes in the shop like that lol. Thanks for sharing. Keep well.
Hey,Paul. Love the videos, especially on the 25D . I bought one last year and appreciate all the help. I had a question, I found a couple of o-rings laying on the backhoe and am not sure where they go. The one I found was laying on the the bottom flange where the backhoe connects to the tractor. I haven't noticed any leaks but was wondering whee they go. Thanks for anybhrlp.
I just bought a 2010 B2320..and I really appreciate your videos. I'm not getting much support from the dealer I bought it from so any tips I can get from you are great. Thanks again for your keen knowledge on the Kubota. Looks like you have a vast amount of knowledge and skill as a mechanic..wish i was a good as you..Sam
Sam Harris Hey Sam. Congrats on your new machine. You got a nice machine there. Thanks for your kind words. When ever we get tractors in the shop we try and produce some type of video on it so stay tuned. You never know when another one will come in through the doors. Hey I'm smarter at editing than I am at mechanic work lol. That's why it looks like I'm smart ;) Enjoy your new tractor.
Google+ is the source of everyones problems. Love these videos now i know the proper way to get tie rods off haha. How do you know what grease zerk you need to put on when you buy kits like that? Every time i needed one i brought the broken one to my dealer and they got me a new one
Cat320ELRR You might be right my friend. When you buy the zerk kits they come with a good verity in the box. You'll easily see which one fits by it's size. Get a full kit. much cheaper and more convenient.
NOT THE LEAST BIT BORING.....I don't own a BX YET but will and I've learned a lot watching your vid's and continue to learn. The old saying "A day that you don't learn something new is a day lost". What do you recommend for the greasing schedule for the BX. Stay safe my friend
I have a bx24 and have the same problem with the boot...I went to the dealer and they said i had to buy the Tie Rod end....where did you get just the boot....btw the video was awesome, I learned allot
Your dealer is totally wrong. The boot kit is available from Kubota. I'll look up the part number when I get in the office and post it for you. They aren't expensive and a easy install. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
Great videos Paul and Kathy! I was wondering if the repairs you do on the Bx are similar to other Kubota models. I just bought a B2601 model ...still sitting the the garage. Read all the material that came with it but still hungry for more. It's my first tractor and I confess to being a novice . It's brand new so I suspect it will be sometime before it needs repairs.I hope to learn from your experience especially when it comes to regular maintenance. I have an electronics background but very little mechanical experience. My tractor has a front loader and a 4 ft mower which will be used to bush hog 6 acres. Thanks again and keep up the good work we really appreciate it !
Joe Perez Thanks Joe. Congrats on the new tractor. Nice unit. Service is similar but my advice to anyone owning anything is also get the shop manual and parts manual with any new machine. They will pay for themselves the first time you use them plus you'll get first hand knowledge of the machine. I'll be doing service videos eventually on the B series tractor so stay tuned. Thanks for watching.
I have been rewatching the video and I don't see that you mentioned the part number for the boot. I have tried to go on to one of the Kubota sites to determine the part number before going to the dealer to get a couple of the boots to replace mine.Do you still have the part number for these or will the part number you have only be good for Canada parts??? Thanks. GREG
Hi folks: Another useful video. I like these down to earth videos and there is nothing boring about them. What do you think about your 18V grease gun so far? Like it better than a hand operated one? Does the battery have decent working life? Keep up the good work.
Brian Campbell Hi Brian. We're just trying to keep it "Real" as if all you guys were here. I'm not a fan of Hollywood productions so that's why we do the vids the way we do them. We are getting bombarded with infomercials these days so who wants to watch them on here. Personally I like the feel of a manual and pneumatic gun better than an cordless gun. I "Feel" it better. I like the cordless one when there's a lot of zerks to grease and I'm in a rush. They all have their place my friend. Happy Holidays to you and yours sir.
Logan P The 5740 is only used for snow clearing and it's like summer here now but as soon as the snow comes again you'll see more video's and the next one will even show more of the tractor ;) Thanks for watching!
If you replace your OEM inner tie rod boots clean up the old grease in and around the inner tie rod and add some grease to the inside of the new boots before you put the retaining rings on. Do not puncture the boots to add grease. You'll rune the boots. No grease is necessary after that.
Paul - Boots/Dust cover replaced. I was able to leave the tie-rods on and put the clip-ring on the boots - Yes a pain to do. thanks for the video. Just need to replace the 2nd fuel filter after I remove the mower and my 200 Hr maintenance is done :)
my 2007 bx2350 has just started losing power. The fuel got down to about 1/4 tank and I was mowing on a rather steep hill sideways and shortly thereafter it started to lose power. I assumed I sucked some air into fuel system but I did bleed the injectors. I do see a bit of air pocket inside the engine mounted fuel filter. Is this pocket of air causing me more grief than I suspect? It runs good for about 3-5 minutes then it starts to cut out like it is missing on 1 or 2 cylinders and it will die periodically or slow to almost dying. please help
I would simply change out both fuel filters and bleed the system again. Also make sure the fuel is not restricted in the fuel tank. There could be algae in there causing a restriction or some other type of dirt. If there is clean the tank. You can check out our service video if you need more info. ruclips.net/video/pi9PVdEmNRs/видео.html
+Sherif Felix Thank you. Happy to hear you enjoy the videos. Look after your equipment and it will look after you by giving you years of reliable service.
Paul, I had a rubber bushing fall off my BX2350 and I cannot find where it goes, the kubota dealer could not tell me where it goes either. Could I send you a picture of it? I know you will be able to identify it. Thanks
Hi Paul You do great videos. I really appreciate your contribution. I've been watching you since the train horn install you did on your truck I too have one and absolutely love it. They echo great under overpasses LOL I purchased a new BX 25D in 2016. I learned the hard way not to buy these machines used unless you know it's history AND being educated on tractors. I have noticed the (drift) in reverse when releasing the pedal. I did not bookmark your video you did on this issue. I'd really like to adjust mine as I have almost taken out my lamp post. Also, Is the (speed selector) adjustable? When mine is in low/slow it's between the neutral and slow. when I shift to fast, the lever hits the housing. I could take it to my dealer but that entails loading and making a 1.5 hour one way trip. Thank you, Charlie from North Carolina..
Bob Kelland Thanks Bob. Yes it's from Come By Chance and is fully licensed for the road. Got it here via trailer though lol. He's another RUclips customer.
AnimalMother224 That puller was purchased at Princess Auto. Try looking on their site. It was only around $20. at the time I bought it. Great quality too.
I have a question. My 2360 loses rpm's/ Sometimes it will run an hour with no issues and then other times it will lose rpms after two minutes. Then today I decided to take off the plastic housing from around the engine to be able to see what was goinmg on when it did it. So low and behold after I took the housing from around the engine it never did it. Then I put it back on and bam it did it in two minutes. I took it back off and it ran good again till I turned it off. I hate the design with the fan in the rear and the exhaust in the front. Is oit possible that its vapor locking from heat or what could be going on. It wil actually go dead unless I turn the blades off. Sometimes. But I can turn the blades off and it will pick back up and when I engage them it does it again. UNLESS THE PLASTIC HOUSING IS OFF. Also it has ran hot sense day one. They said its because of where they put the heat sensor but I moved it and it still runs right at the edge of the red unless you run at 3000 rpms then it doesn't run as hot. Please help. I have changed every filter and serviced it totally all the way through and it still loses rpm's
I really don't get into these kind of things. They take up so much of my time. I get roughly 30 questions like this a week. I don't work for Kubota either. I would assume your tractor has some kind of warranty?
Eli Fulton OH OK. The kit is called 7pc Grease Gun Accessory Kit. I got it at Princess Auto for less than $30. The part number is #8415275. Hope this helps. :)
Paul on a B20 tractor the hyd for the bucket and back hoe just quite working. this is not mine but a friend that does not know anything at all on how to trouble shoot this. I changed teh fluids and filters and thing worked good for a few weeks but it just want do anything in lift ant the bucket or the back hoe. the tractor has not ever had tender love and care. He ask me if I would want to buy it but I have no idea what it be worth. all hoses are very old and decade I am a handyman and have some mechanic skills but not sure how to help from here. You got any comments? Krug
Krug you need to do a pressure test of the system. You had it working once do it may just be a stuck valve somewhere. Maybe something stuck in the hydraulic pump. It don't sound to serious. My advice is to get a shop repair manual and look at the check list there. The shop manual will pay for itself on the first repair. Good luck with it. Cheers from Newfoundland
DONT LET THAT CAMERA BOTHER YOU YOUR A NATURAL IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA ID BE MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE CAMERA LADY WATCHING YOU LOL SHES THE ONE THAT WILL GET YOU
That's one thing I don't like, I can't stand watching myself on video. Man there was a time she wouldn't even pick up a camera. Now I can't get her to put it down LOL. I guess I can't complain, without her we wouldn't have any videos at all to do because I never take the time to pick up the camera myself.
Not boring at all. I have been binge watching your videos since I found them and have learned lots about my tractor. I have always been worried about the HST fan, now thanks to you I know for sure I can do the job myself despite the dire warnings from my dealer.
+Mike Clark
Thanks Mike. Happy to hear the videos is helping you out. Thanks for watching
Levi~~

Thanks Levi. It's really guys like yourself we want to show this stuff to and we thank you for taking your valuable time to watch our channel.
Keep well bud
Excellent video. I learned a lot of new things. Don't ever think these basic videos are boring.
Thank you very much. Much appreciated
Paul Short sw
Many thanks to Kathy for being diligent capturing footage and of course thanks to you Paul for sharing tips and your outstanding craftsmanship!
USNERDOC
Thank you my friend for your kind words. Kathy thanks you as well. I received your email and will respond later today. I'm very impressed with the new tractor of yours.
Thanks for your support and for watching.

Kathy thanks for standing behind that camera for hours and hours filming all the great stuff hubby does :)

Another fine production by the Kathy and Paul show!
Thank you. Hope your keeping well.
Thanks Kathy for taking the time to shoot some video, I know Paul is busy and likes to keep moving and put work out. Keep cracking the whip and making more videos.
liveinmyamerica
Kathy says "Your welcome". She does a great job and because of her we can produce all the videos we are doing now.
Paul &Kathy , You guys are NEVER BORING !!!! great video and nice tip on tie rod removal . I have seen to many "mechanics" beat that joint off ! WE are supposed to work SMARTER not HARDER ! all the best Bob k
Robert Kavich
Thanks Bob.

Keep in mind we only show a small portion of it. The next two days there will be no taping because of the type of work we are doing. In my opinion the best stuff don't get shown but that's not our choice. ;)
Well then you must do some pretty interesting stuff then. How often you do guys work on tractors?
Tyler Donovan Maybe about 3-5% of the time. It's probably the smallest part of the business.
You Canadians are so great! We’re lucky to share a border with ya
They are 2 of my favorite Canadians.
Thank you Kathy for tapping today great job

Kathy says "Welcome"
Always enjoy you and Kathy's videos. It's almost as good as being there. I'm from the State of Missouri and it is the Show Me State, so I understand your don't tell me rant. Lol. Thanks for your time and tech tips, I agree with your so called overkill techniques and I know we couldn't both be wrong. Stay warm and safe my friends.
jim dandy
Thanks. So many specialists on the net. I've never won an argument on the net yet so I rather they show me than try and tell me. I think I'm a slow learner lol.
Keep well my friend.
paul , taking things apart and replacing parts are interesting , we all can learning something by watching !.
mark dausy
So true Mark. Every day is a learning day for me as well. Thanks for watching.
Nice job again Guys! Music Man said it well thank you Kathy for your hours of standing with that camera and listening to Paul;s jokes that you've probably heard many times before!
Very fun and timely. Both of the boots on my bx22 are shot and I thought I would have to replace the entire ball joint assembles, great information!!!!!!
cat637d
Glad to hear it. Glad you caught the problem before it got worst.
I had a blast watching this. I appreciate all your knowledge.
Glad you enjoyed it Brian. Thanks for watching.
Boring? NOT AT ALL!!!! INFORMATIVE. EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE! I use your tips when doing repairs or greasing my 4240 GST. Thank you Paul.
*****
Thanks buddy.
Thanks again Paul.
techsguild
Great. When I see it's helped folks out I know it was all worth while. Hope your repair goes well.
I thought I had watch all of these but I missed this one, happy to say it was good !
There’s a tip for your grease gun called lock and lube. It’s an awesome tip. Easy to put on and easy to take off. I’ve broken the grease zircs trying to get it off but no more since I bought the lock and lube. Love your videos.
I had one and gave it away. I found it to big and bulky and couldn’t get it in at some zerks. Thank for watching
Hey guys thank you for the great videos I just bought my first BX 1870 although I think I should have got a BX25 lol still love my BX and your vids really help me take care of it keep up the good work guys
Great job on this Sir, I really enjoy your videos. Last week i bought an older B1550 so with that comes a huge tractor learning curve..Thank you!
Hey Paul
Awesome video good tips, one thing I check and lube on my bx is the fel arm retaining pins. We both have read on forums how people can get those pins out to remove the fel. The other thing I have done is convert the bulbs to LED. They last longer and are a little bright. Yes they are a little more costly, but I think well worth it.
Thanks for the great video,
Brian
Brian Whitney
Thanks Brian.
RDViper2013
Hey I love green tractors. There will always be complaints. No one can avoid that. I would like to see the ones that do complain do a video showing the right way but most of them don't do anything at all only complain.
You got some great plans for your shop. Good luck with it and thanks for watching our video's.
Happy Holidays.
Never boring. Enjoy your vids. Merry Christmas from Nova Scotia. :)
450rhino1
And Merry Christmas to you from all of us here across the pond lol.Great to know your enjoying the vids. Thanks for watching.
Paul and Kathy great video! Paul you really know your kubota's and I like that new grease gun!
frank gowings
I've worked on a lot of equipment over the years. Grease and oil is the life of them. the gun works great.
Thanks for watching.
bought a bx25D in july because of your videos and am now a subscriber keep up the good work
Tim_Toolman
Congrats on the new machine. glad you enjoy our channel.
Tim_Toolman
Oh. I forgot. Thanks for Subscribing. Much appreciated. :)
lol no problem
Vid is not boring at all , nice little tips again !
MrFrankturbo1
Cool. Thanks!
Mr. Short, I have an Idea. You need to make/write a "Kubota Repair for Dummies" book for the rest of us. You really break things down for normal folks like me can understand. Thanks for all you do.
For me, a "MF gc1710 for Dummies" would be appropriate, but you get the idea. LOL.
+opryhopeful
Lol. That book would apply more to me than anyone else .
Janet and I wish you two and family a Merry Christmas as well! Maybe in the new year I will get Janet to start videoing as you have with Kathy!
I noticed you had trouble taking off grease gun end on zerks, I too have same problem. I have tried other tips but they have same problem. On a lawn cart axle had a zerk on each side when i pulled it off i pulled threads and all out....great.
+Jake Schisler
That grease gun I was using was new at the time. What I didn't know was that it has a pressure release. If I had used that it would have been super easy. I've also related the coupler with the newer type quick release one.
Love the tractor vids !! They are very informative and never boring ,, even tho i have a John Deere ! Lol
Well I won't hold that against you lol.
Hey folks. See you using that new Milwaukee impact driver on this work. I think you're going to really like that tool. I have the same one and have had really good service from it. And i'll tell ya, its got some strength behind it...Keep those videos coming.
Chris Conway
Thanks Chris. It's a nice tool and with great power. I'll mostly use it out doing off site repairs. We use all pneumatic tooling in the shop. Thanks for commenting.
Takes a tube of grease just to fill the hose lol
Nice work!
Shakes 73
Ha. So true.
You will find your answer in this video 😉ruclips.net/video/0zrD9b0lYqw/видео.html
Thanks GREG
gd c
Hey Greg glad you got something out of the video.
Great video as always Paul, thanks for sharing.
Mr zurcon
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video Cathy!

Kathy says "Your Welcome"
Have ever done a video on replacing the lift arms for the mower deck. The boss that fits into the elongated slot slips out on one side dropping the deck and I have to reattach it to finish mowing.
thanks paul and Kathy , great info... I'm enjoying my new BX25D I got delivery in sept .. looking forward to any blizzard that comes my way ... paul I'm gonna use the monk joke ifin ya don't mind ... take care
Your welcome. Congrats on the new tractor. As for the joke. Go for it lol.
Learned something today! Thanks for the video.
Rick Anderson
Great!
Thanks!
like all your videos watched them all keep-em coming started to do some of your mods on my bx1850 cant wait for the new ones thanks paul
Steve Nelson Thanks Steve. Really appreciate it and happy to hear your getting something out of it. Thanks for watching.
love to see you work.keep doing vido of hole job
Another great video, love the joke too Paul...LOL
+Cary Hubbard
Thank you my friend.
Thank you very very much for the lesson.
Another Great video. I have a question have you had to replace the Th side rear link for a mid mount mower. I got the old part out but I'll be darned if I can get the new part back in. Thanks Tom
Another great video! You guys need to open up a shop in Florida! Get to where it is +10 C or higher all year, haha. Have a good night.
trashlover9
I would have considered it last winter but this one is really warm. Anything about plus 15 and I'm done lol.
Thanks for watching.
Well I have to say the reason your so busy is because you do good work.. and tell jokes..lol
rchopp
Thanks you. We try do do our best and enjoy it in the process ;)
Good guy love your work and videos!
Maxim HD Entertainment
Thank you very much. We really appreciate your kind comments and for watching our video's.
Have a great weekend.
Another great informative video. I know you said last video you wouldn't respond to any specific questions regarding this "new opportunity" that may happen. But I was wondering if you have a timeline for when it may happen ?? Take care God Bless
hello6488
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
As I said. Can't comment. It's a sensitive time to do so.
Take care.
Enjoyed your videos. I need to remove a front tire on a BX23. Removed the 4 nuts and the tire does not "fall off" like they did in your video. I didn't want to damage anything by forcing it. I assume there is nothing else holding it on and I just need to pull harder to force it off? Thanks
Jay Neese
With the nuts removed place a piece of wood up against the inside of the wheel and hit the wood with a hammer. It will pop off. Thanks.
Not boring to me. I like learning about how to maintain my L39 which I'm sure is familiar.
*****
Great to hear your enjoying our content and even better to know you don't find it boring. Thanks.
Take Care.
Hahaha funny story
Steve Rob
I hate new grease fittings on a gun. They are to tight. great story. I've seen those. I have a great fitting kit that pretty well takes care of all the crap that comes in the shop like that lol.
Thanks for sharing. Keep well.
Braden Wuesthoff
Glad you enjoyed it :)
The grease fittings on the deck wheels for my 54" BX25 mower are the same way. First time I greased them they pulled out.
Sam Harris
Hey Sam. Congrats on your new machine. You got a nice machine there. Thanks for your kind words. When ever we get tractors in the shop we try and produce some type of video on it so stay tuned. You never know when another one will come in through the doors.
Hey I'm smarter at editing than I am at mechanic work lol.
That's why it looks like I'm smart ;)
Enjoy your new tractor.
hi thanks, you may not want to admit it but i think your a pretty darn good mechanic..
You are very kind. Thank you very much 😊
I know you covered it in another video, but what kind of grease gun are you using, again. It seems really nice.
+opryhopeful
Here you go: www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/cordless/2646-22ct
I sure wish you would start producing and selling your backhoe bucket quick connector and frost ripper!
Google+ is the source of everyones problems. Love these videos now i know the proper way to get tie rods off haha. How do you know what grease zerk you need to put on when you buy kits like that? Every time i needed one i brought the broken one to my dealer and they got me a new one
Cat320ELRR
You might be right my friend. When you buy the zerk kits they come with a good verity in the box. You'll easily see which one fits by it's size. Get a full kit. much cheaper and more convenient.
So i have a question do you put fluid in tires on tractors for winter?
NOT THE LEAST BIT BORING.....I don't own a BX YET but will and I've learned a lot watching your vid's and continue to learn. The old saying "A day that you don't learn something new is a day lost". What do you recommend for the greasing schedule for the BX. Stay safe my friend
*****
Cool. I say the same thing. As for greasing. Every 10 hours of use. Thanks for watching.
nice work Mr short, keep er going dude.
Joe Perez
Thanks Joe.
Thanks.
GREG
gd c
The Canadian part number is # K125301660. I'm not sure if this will be the same number for the US Kubota catalog.
Hi folks: Another useful video. I like these down to earth videos and there is nothing boring about them. What do you think about your 18V grease gun so far? Like it better than a hand operated one? Does the battery have decent working life? Keep up the good work.
Brian Campbell
Hi Brian.
Happy Holidays to you and yours sir.
great video and great tips good job
elias furlong
Cool. Thanks for watching.
I love tools, what is the brand and model # of that puller you used on the tie rods.
That puller was purchased at Princess Auto about ten years ago. They are discontinued now but may be available somewhere else.
Cool video paul ! Enjoyed seeing the shop ! Would these tips and tricks work for my B? Thanks for reading :) love the video
Matthew Morehouse
Thanks Matthew. Yes they will apply to the B series as well.
Awesome vid..again!!! Paul, only if u have time to reply...how many hours did that BX have on it?
Thanks Tony. I think it had 400 hours on it.
Will you be doing another 5740 video soon love watching it keep up the good work
Logan P
The 5740 is only used for snow clearing and it's like summer here now but as soon as the snow comes again you'll see more video's and the next one will even show more of the tractor ;)
Thanks for watching!
Paul - do you grease inside the boots? I didn't see this in your vid. On my BX1870 I see grease. I need to replace my boots. Great videos.
Are there any grease fittings on a BX23 driveshaft? Or maybe it does not have an exposed driveshaft
No there’s not.
I enjoyed watching your videos. I learned a lot cause it is very useful. I love my Kubota bx.and I intend to take care of it better . Thanks again.
+Sherif Felix
Thank you. Happy to hear you enjoy the videos. Look after your equipment and it will look after you by giving you years of reliable service.
all of the hydraulics stopped working except the forward and reverse. so it drives. backhow, stabilizers and loader stopped while moving snow.
Paul, I had a rubber bushing fall off my BX2350 and I cannot find where it goes, the kubota dealer could not tell me where it goes either. Could I send you a picture of it? I know you will be able to identify it. Thanks
Scott this would be your best place to post a photo. I'll see it and so will everyone else. www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/
Thanks I have uploaded some pics of the part.
Hi Paul
You do great videos. I really appreciate your contribution. I've been watching you since the train horn install you did on your truck
I too have one and absolutely love it. They echo great under overpasses LOL
I purchased a new BX 25D in 2016.
Here is a tip for you .the end on your grease gun is adjustable.loosen the tip about one turn for it doesn't grip to tight.
john Devoe
Thanks.
Good tips! Good joke, and wondering if that BX is licensed for the road?
Bob Kelland
Thanks Bob. Yes it's from Come By Chance and is fully licensed for the road. Got it here via trailer though lol. He's another RUclips customer.
Paul Short Going to have to calculate how long it will take me to drive my BX to Bay Roberts :)
Paul, where did you get that little puller. Any info on brand or style? thanks!
AnimalMother224
That puller was purchased at Princess Auto. Try looking on their site. It was only around $20. at the time I bought it. Great quality too.
Paul can you put block heater on the bx25d?
Marc Plante
Yes. They are available for the BX. It hardly gets cold enough here to justify installing one though.
Do you know there's actually a 4th way of measuring on a vernier caliper? Top edge of the tool to top of the slider......this can measure steps too
Robert S
Cool. Thanks!
What brand of fluid film do you prefer .
www.fluid-film.com/
thank you for the info , love the videos
Your kindly welcome. 👍Thanks for watching.
Hello Mr.Short i hate to bother you but were could i get one of the kits you mentioned? i would like to buy one for my new tractor lol
Eli Fulton
What kit Eli?
I think its called a zert kit? Or however you spell it lol
Eli Fulton OH OK. The kit is called 7pc Grease Gun Accessory Kit. I got it at Princess Auto for less than $30. The part number is #8415275. Hope this helps. :)
It dose! I found one on Harbor Freight for about $23 thank you very much
Paul on a B20 tractor the hyd for the bucket and back hoe just quite working. this is not mine but a friend that does not know anything at all on how to trouble shoot this.
This was not boring!
+Jake Schisler
That's nice :)
Sam Ting and Bill Shakespear were great men ha ha ha ha

check fluid levels and it is good.
if the front loader suddenly stops lifting what could be wrong?
+alan griffin
