I have really learned a lot about my BX25D watching all of your videos . Put my mirrors on today. Great set up. Thank the both of you.
Thanks, just ordered the univerco's for both my Gguns. You have shown me some really cool and cheap tools I never knew about (soft funnels) and just had to order. Thanks for going thru the trouble of making videos, I also enjoy seeing your wonder full relationship Kathy as well, it's refreshing to see bonds as such.
Your more than welcome. Nice to know your enjoying the videos and getting something out of them. Makes it all worth while for us to domthem. Kathy says hi.
Paul, Fantastic! I learned a lot. The equipment discussion was ALL new to me. I also liked hearing your way of greasing. As I mentioned before, I thought you pumped until it oozed! Why my BX is Big Mess. Yeah, looks like a BM:). Thanks again, very appreciated. John Sealy
Glad you liked it John. Thanks for the idea. Now you can say your known as far as Newfoundland, Canada. Happy tractoring. Happy Thanksgiving
Paul,
After further research I found grease by Mobil oil called Mobil delvac xtreme service grease,it's supposed to be orange in color and used
In heavy equipment applications. Its available at grangers supply and may be available at Walmart.Hope this helps both of us.
Roger
Thanks Roger. I'll have to check it out 👍
Hello Paul, thank you for making the video, 2nd time watching and will not be the last, just purchased a BX2680 today, will be delivered on Friday
Looking forward to making this part of my life easier
Hi Jim. Congratulations on your new tractor. You are going to absolutely love that thing. Awesome machine. Read your manuals at least twice. We like to keep everyone safe. Happy Tractoring.
Great video as always. As an old heavy equipment operator I can relate to greasing the equipment to make it work better also and stop the squick
For all the lazy folks, the very first thing Paul talks about is the shop manual. Now, you do have to BUY it and READ it, but inside are all the fitting locations. The rest is just stuff none of you ever knew about greasing equipment, which would help you too. Ah, we miss you Shorts!
I bought the Milwaukee M-18 grease gun and the Univerco fitting because I saw them on one of your videos.
I like them both very much. Now I'm going to shop for that Zirk clearing tool.
Lol. Copy cat 🐈 When you get the zero cleaning tool just fill it with grease, put it on the dirty zero and hit it. Great tool.
Great video Paul! I think a lot of viewers who are new to running equipment will benefit from this. They don't know what they don't know. I put myself in that category and have learned from you and other You Tube creators. Thank you!
😎cool. Thanks for watching.

Spotless tractor, spotless garage and well organized. We should be friends lol
I've been greasing my 2370 about every 20 hours. I am using marine grade grease though, the Kubota dealer is a good drive away and I always forget to pick up their brand. Slightly different subject, but I have been changing my oil about every 50-60 hours instead of their suggested routine. So far I have had no issues with my machine except for front wheels. Tough little tractors overall.
Cool. At least your doing your maintenance. That's all that matters.
Thank you very very much for the lesson.. It is so nice to have someone teach you this stuff.
Nothing wrong with a maintenance video Paul as you said so many people are buying these tractors to make life a little easier and have some fun I call it therapy my self we sell that tool to clear out stuck fittings like you have there in the instructions they recommend using a light weight oil in the tool hope you have a great night Napa Mike
Oil makes a total mess of it. Fill it with grease. Works better to 👍
Paul Short sounds great Paul I'll pass it on here's proof in the puddin I learn something every day so you may think this video might not be what you thought I've been greasing machines for years as well and still picked up a tech tip on a tool that we sell at Napa take care Napa Mike
Hi Paul, I know this is an old video but FYI that Kubota part # grease is now black. ( at least in Connecticut dealers)I just bought a case of it.
Ya I was aware of that. It changed here a few years ago and I’m not sure why.
Mobil Delvac Extreme is a #2 available at local auto parts stores. And yes, it's orange
Good topic, Paul. I always enjoy your BX vids.
Cool 😎. Thanks for watching.
Appreciate you sharing your time(wifie too). And extended knowledge with us all.regards TW Canada's west coast
Your more than welcome Tony. Happy to hear your enjoying the videos. Keep well over there.
Hey Paul, a refresher course never hurts. I love the tip you use on the grease gun. I'm going to have to find one, or i'm going to have to grow a third arm to hold the hose to the zerk fitting and use the other two to pump my manual grease gun..
Cool. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
I appreciate the tips Paul. Your tractors are immaculate!
Great video our friend's, that's what I been doing, keeping on until it comes out, over doing it. Yes, it does make a mess. I just been doing it the way a good friend had showed me years ago, what he said made sense, but lol makes a little mess too. He said you need to let it come out good, so it keep the dirt out of it. But over doing it some, great video, helped out a lot on that part. Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe.
Thanks Paul for sharing. Very helpful. Happy tractoring..
Would like to have seen video of all the grease points on BX2680 & LA344S loader
Great video on greasing my new BX thanks 😊
Hi Paul, I have the same Bx 25 d like yours and its got 750 hours. I have also done the fluid changes and filter regularly. My Bx jerks on forward and revers and it is stronger
when the 4x4 is engaged. Would the be the front wheel shaft needs greasing?
Thanks for the video Paul I paused your video and ordered a quick coupler. -Matt T
Cool. You'll like the coupler.
Btw, I watched your video of the BX Mirros and ordered them off of Ebay for my B2650. Kepp up the great videos
grease the treble peddle, thank you. found it on my bx2680. Its a good thing ,that ,not everything needs to change over the years. .. or model updates.
I was always taught on a loader tractor to use your loader to lift front wheels of the ground when greasing. That way the grease is getting into the right parts of the pins and bushings instead of taking the easiest path
I've spent a long time on big equipment and that's a first for me. Interesting.
We have a Case MX135 loader tractor here that has just had front axle bushings replaced for the first time and it had 9400 hours then and I dont think the loader has ever been off itso I guess it seems to work. The mechanic said the main centre axle pivot had next to no wear
Wow. That thing is really lasting. Nice to hear.
Hi, do you have a video on the install of those front fenders and mirrors? They looked like JD fenders, thanks
Paul, I also prefer my trusty old manual. My 20V DeWalt just does not give me that feel for the lube getting in there and it also puts it in way too fast.
As usual, always learn a little something. Even if it's a funny story - it's always great...
Cool. Hope all is well on your end. Merry Christmas.
I use Kubota Polyurea Grease 70000-10701 on my MX5200. It's blue in color (the grease :-0 :-). Since we're on lube and grease, do you use synthetics in your Kubota engines?
Paul, I went to my local Kubota dealership to buy grease. I was saddened to find the 700000-10410 is not ORANGE but typical dark gray/black. Anyway I am using much of what I learned in the Viewer Request (Kubota BX Greasing) video. Thanks again, John Sealy North Carolina USA
I've heard they changed it. Wonder why they did that.
Great video Paul, very informative..
Thank you.
My BX came from the dealer covered in the black stuff.
Was hoping you'd show all the grease points on the machine.
Thank you very much for the lesson. My BX22 has a straight boom on it. Do you think that there is any advantage to the curved boom? Thank you.
Excellent video as always thanks 👏👏👏👏
Thank you.
Paul thank you for the informative video. I just got a BX24 with loader and backhoe with 690 hrs. I changed all the filters and fluids and greased the fittings. There is one fitting on the loader which dumps the bucket which will not take any grease. I removed and cleaned the fitting and reinstalled and it still will take any grease. Any ideas on what might be the cause?
The pin is plugged I guess. Remove the pin itself and clean it up. Reinstall and grease it. Your welcome. Congrats on the tractor.
Good video, Paul! Now my problem is on my pins for the fel are recessed and both those ends are nice but won't fit in the hole. I have a regular tip that came with gun, once i put it over the zerk it won't come off unless i take a pair of pliers and unloosen the end to get it off. Is there a different end i could buy maybe with less jaws or I'm S out of luck. Your BX is so clean hard to believe it has hours on it. :)
Th problem is your gun I getting hydraulic lock. You could use a neddle adapter on your gun and push the neddle in on top of the zero and see if it takes the grease.
Another good vodeo, Paul. Your practical explanations are a very good resource. I know you get questions about Kathy's decals and things like center caps, and you have said that it is proprietary. What is the probability of asking Kathy to simply mention the brands and products she uses, without getting into details?
Thanks Greg. As for Kathy's work, other than showing the results on here our hands are tied for anything other than that.
Thanks Paul. I wasn't exactly sure about that but sort of assumed it since you were so definite about not addressing it. I have no idea why a company would not want their name to be used, if for nothing other than to advertise their products for sale, but I understand. It doesn't have to make sense. Please keep up the great videos. You two are a real breath of fresh air when it comes to videos. I wish I worked more around people who as good-natured as both of you seem to be.
Paul a great video. I have really enjoyed your videos on the BX and they have been really helpful to me and influenced me to buy a BX25D that I really enjoy. Got one item for a potential future video. I noticed in the background that you have all your extension cords neatly coiled. Think it would be good video if you showed us how you do that without causing the cords to "cork screw". I know you must have a technique you use that you could share with the rest of us UTubers.
Thanks Frank. Great little tractors for sure. Happy to hear I had a small part to play in your decision to buy it. Well that's a good idea on the cords. I would have never thought of that lol. Will do. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I have just learned alot. I have more tools to buy.
Thanks so much for the great video, Can you tell me were and what the chainsaw holder is from?
Great vid Paul. I was wondering how you mounted the lights on your backhoe. Did you tap 2 holes for the bracket in the boom? I'm going to do the same mod, would be great for backing up as well as digging in the dark.
Yup. Drill and tap. I used a special bend on the bracket and not just straight across. I found a photo of it and uploaded it to help you out flic.kr/p/NnJzxh
Great video. Do you have a video on how you installed that light bar on the rops?
Thanks. No video. Sorry
@@7863348 I would love to see more detail of that. That is a slick setup!
Hi Nice video! I learned a few things. I was just wondering about the paint on the front loader and the paint on the backhoe bucket. Do you repaint these after you use them? On my machine the paint wears off very quickly when digging and loading gravel.
I use spray on bedliner. It keeps the rust off very well.
Another great video!!!!
Between my Kubota BX25 and the Bosch 11264EVS with a spade bit, I fear no digging....
Fear no digging?
Paul Short you remarked what a workhorse the little BX is. I'm agreeing with you even though I live on a rocky mountainside. It may take some time but the little BX is capable of digging up stuff the rest of the tractor can't move! The Bosch (which we both own) is also an important weapon in my arsenal. On that note.... EcoBust. I've recently switched to Dexpan.... it's easier to get up in the mountains. I just busted a 14 ton hunk of granite into enough pieces to line a 100 ft road edge. Thank you for starting that journey.
thanks Paul!
Your very welcome.
thanks for this video paul and if im not mistaken is that an atlantic canada accent i hear ?
You have a good ear. I’m on the island of Newfoundland 👍
hey Paul great video my friend
Thanks Roy. I mentioned you in our latest video ;)
Paul - when I grease usually grease comes out one side of the pin - instead of two sides - is something jammed? If I keep adding grease just get excessive on one side - Great video -
That's common. It's grease taking the easiest path. I'd leave it like that. Eventually it will spread out where it needs to go. Thanks.
Excellent - I will have to try the Kubota grease - looks cool. I just got done with 200 HR BX1870 maintenance. Running 100% here in Minnesota.
Sorry, Found the video for the mirrors 👍🏻😉
Paul, tried to order the grease you talked about that is orange in color from my dealer in northern,Michigan using the number 70000-10401 and what came up in his inventory was basic black grease.Do you think what you are using is only for Canadian customers only.
Thanks in advance
Roger
The last lot I had didn't look to orange to me either. I'll have to find out what going on.
Yeh, but you didn't show all the points that the manual says need greasing and which are hard to understand from the manual
@@simonmurray7965 Well at this point I don’t even remember the video considering it was published 7 years ago 🤨
Watch your videos all the time you do great work , very educational
Wandering if any of your mods are for sale
Do you have a video on how to install a block heater on a BX23S
You must have terrable cold temperatures there. I’ve personally never seen the need for a block heater where I live. Are you preheating your glow plugs before starting? I’ve seen people who didn’t even know they exist.
Hey paul greg from St. John’s just wondering what happened to your full service bx 25 video , I am just about to service mine,
I removed it about four years ago. it created so many problems for me. Everyone in North America kept calling me on the phone asking me everything about their Kubota’s. They treated us like a technical assistance facility so I said never again would I put it up.
Hey there. I thought the orange grease was an awsome idea but I tried to order it from Kubota. Been waiting for a month . No grease. Is there anywhere else I can get it.
I’ve heard that the orange grease is no longer orange but I can’t be sure. Kubota is the only place I’ve seen it.
hello paul great video were can a guy buy the grease tool that you showed for freeing up grease fittings and is there a name for it thanks -keith
Keith NAPA sell them and most other auto stores. If your in 🇨🇦 you can get them at Princess Auto www.princessauto.com/en/detail/grease-fitting-cleaning-tool/A-p4270160e
Thanks paul and yes im from canada 1.5 km from calgary alberta little city call brooks
that tool will help us out alot thanks -keith
Perfect. You can order from them online or get yo your local NAPA store. They say you can pull up the top part of the tool, remove the tip and put oil in it but I find putting grease in it works best. Thanks for watching Keith.
Can you direct me to a video of the front fenders please , I can't seem to find it..
Thanks for your videos!
There was never a video done on the front fenders. Sorry.
Great vid bro. atb
Thanks Ken
I was waiting for the show of all the "grease points" on the tractor and all I got was a story telling. Wasn't the point of this video to show it?
Your welcome 🙏
Why all the stickers ?
Why do you ask?
on your bx25
I don't have mud flaps on my BX.
Love your videos. Just - do not like the Commercials now.
KBro
Commercials pay the bills like on tv.
I'm still gonna watch your videos. The info you give here helps me out. I too found NO NUT (part# 180 5/16-24 hex nut) on my speed control rod (Part #160) now the BX25 flies. and I thank you. KBro
Why you calling us RUclipsrs? Your the RUclipsr.
Ok genius,I’ll play along. A RUclipsr is anyone who participates in RUclips weather it be a creator or a viewer. Prove me wrong 🤨

Nasty, nasty, nasty. Now you know why I don’t do anymore tractor videos. Did I mention you are nasty? 🤨
Love your videos Paul. I have a 2015 B2650 and I want to try to change my fluids myself but I'm not certain I can do it. I checked my front axle fluids and now I'm not sure it the dipstick should be pushed in the whole way or just sit it on top of the flange to check it. It makes a big difference on the fluid level on the dipstick. The manual doesn't give enough info. on it either.
Thanks Sam. Dipstick all the way in buddy as if you were checking the motor oil in your car.
Thanks so much for taking the time to respond..I appreciate it so much..happy trails..cheers
You are kindly welcome. Nice tractor you have there. Enjoy.
