Max didnt say what her give out as the most precious. Whats touching about the situation is, like most people, we be grateful because as guest, having the host give out the little thing they have, despite not being luxuries, just simple tea with banana as something to be grateful for. But max went above and beyond. And he wasnt faking it. He was confused as like, what you mean she got nothing or little to give? She gave us her time, tour of her place, history of the place and then still giving them food to eat? Thats so much already she been giving to them. So even from the very start when the woman start hosting them, max already feeling grateful for it and not take it for granted. We, josh, armand was thinking, ah despite the food is just simple fruit and plain tea, we are thankful for the food. But max already thankful for her presence the moment he see the lady monk. No one owe us anything. The fact she spend her time for others, her knowledge, her place, her food is a lot. His parent really raised Max well. Truly a fine gentleman
The first part where the lady gave you guys a tour of the temple was extra special. Her apologizing for not having more to give than just tea and bananas, and her not realizing that she gave you and your viewers so much more than that, it's very humbling indeed. We never know our impact on other people, so we should always make it a point to be kind and giving to everyone.
Atter all these years, Josh is still experiencing "first" in Korea. It looks like this series was just as important and a learning experience for Josh as it was for Armand and Max. With each episode you can feel the growth that both these young men have done and how much they are the next generation of new Korean Englishmen exploring and appreciating more of a new culture. It is so special to watch and feel honored.
It seems he's completely new to the Jeonnam scene - which is odd since I'd say the area has the best seafood in the country, and he could've always taken the 2.5-3 hr KTX journey from Seoul down to either Gwangju or Mokpo...

The sensitivity and maturity of these two is outstanding to realize temples are the soul of most of humanity, especially in Asian countries. Max and Armand constantly amaze me, I hope we get to follow them as they develop into the incredible men they seem destined to be, these experiences have provided opportunity for growth most young men do not have.
I think my favourite part of this series is when they are authentically immersed in the culture, like when that kind lady gave them a tour, tea, and a snack I know they aren’t doing the traditional “touristy” things, but when there are interactions like this with the locals, I think it’s truly amazing
See, the thing is, that's how it should be done. 'Tourist' things only show a portion of what the culture of a place is like. Doing what these guys did and going out of their way to meet the *really* normal, everyday people is so much more interesting than, say, just hanging out in Seoul the entire time.
That temple excursion was beautiful. Learning about the history of such a rich culture and being in that environment where lots has happened before must truly be a special experience.

These are probably the two best young men to bring to Korea for round 2. You don’t normally find open minds, open taste buds and the fact that they are generally really happy to try everything and anything (at least once) simultaneously being fun and engaging whilst being serious, respecting and just enjoying what Korea is all about. I know that i would have probably said, “No.” to a lot of things especially food wise. I’m in my 50’s and born in Seoul, (Michael Yo the comedian says this about his Korean mom, “Born & raised in Korea, South side.”) and was adopted by an Irish-American family. It’s only been in the last few years that I have been enjoying cooking and eating some Korean cuisine. This is such a great series. Sometimes I like to skip a week so i can watch more than 20-30 minutes at a time. On the plus side I keep telling my husband and daughter i could actually be 1-2 years younger since South Korea changed how they count birthdays in late June.
i love the way they responded to the "we dont have much to give in the temple" when giving them the tea and bananas, truly there is so much already given and shared
I live in South Australia where they have abalone farms but we never get to taste it. Its exported. You have no idea how envious I was watching the eat it. We were down in Tongyeong a few months ago. Delicious seafood. They boys are so lucky they are being brought round. Its hard as tourists navigating away from the big cities.
I love this series! I would love to see if the rest of the boys can be brought back like Armand and Max in pairs or trios to keep enjoying Korea as Uni students now. I'd love to see Bobby again, and honestly it'd be nice to see them bring his mom along to Korea and see them both there!
I actually teared up on this one, it was dear. The lovely friendship between all of you, the way everyone had a moment at the temple, the savory radish tea and bananas, the way these two young men are so open to eating ANYTHING and Josh in his manifested life of travel and adventure, making friends and special moments for all of us whether onscreen or off. I just really love all of you, thanks for making these videos.

Applauding these young men for being so willing to learn about other culture that is so apparently different from theirs and being so appreciative. It is not an easy thing to do though they have been introduced to Korean culture for some time now. Very encouraging. Well done!
It's very special that you just went to look at a temple for a little while and the monk recognized you and your crew. She poured a cup of tea for everyone there, just because she wanted to. Wholesome

I always watch and I don’t think I’ve ever commented to say how high effort the closed captions are. Not only do they put an English translation, but they include somewhat equivalent mispronunciations in the English when the boys mispronounce something in Korean. That’s just next level, mad mad props. P.s. I wholeheartedly agree that raw abalone is disgusting. It’s like trying to eat a raw beef tendon.
the tea and bananas moment at the temple really helped me step back from my own stresses, josh made it feel like I was there in the calm of that garden with them:)

I love this one - Max got all his architecture in, and the lady at the temple was so lovely. Everyone was - they are just so nice. The area is gorgeous!

i love the way they responded to the "we dont have much to give in the temple" when giving them the tea and bananas, truly there is so much already given and shared
Armand and Max’s love for each other is so sweet 💛 their hearts are just pure gold and its so amazing to see their growth
The person hosting them at the temple was so kind and welcoming. What a lovely human being.
Nice! In the U.S., abalone is definitely expensive. Most seafood is anywhere from expensive to very expensive here.
I absolutely loved the video with Bobby and his mom. That was great.
I just really love all of you, thanks for making these videos.
the boys being so grateful and appreciative of everything seriously like almost makes you cry 😂 they’re so sweet and deserving. I’m so glad we get to be brought along their journey
I am so overjoyed on how popular this content is becoming. Your page and specifically this series has brought me so much joy and happiness. 48k in 25 mins….. 💜💜💜
Right? The numbers are getting quite epic!
I wish Max & Armand’s parents were invited onto the channel too.. 😅I want to see their reactions to Korean food too 😅
Would love to see a video of their parents reacting to their trip.
I think itd make more sense for the boys to take their parents on their own time
also Max and Armand could play as Josh! as their host!! 😂
@@monicaalvarez5696 that would be another awesome video suggestion too
@@ot7stan207 you didn’t read my comment properly
I love how excited Max and Armand get about everything. I can’t wait to go to Korea one day. Max is right too-the architecture is so cool
U deserve more likes tbh
Hope you can come enjoy this wonderful place soon enough! There's way too much too enjoy 😅
Wholesome
this is my favorite episode of the series so far. i know the channel is mostly centered around food but i love seeing other aspects of Korean culture and history ☺️
I keep rewatching this repeatedly and enjoy each time thoroughly.
Oh, the lady at the temple made me tear up, I really felt emotional. What a lovely person, and what an amazing experience for all of you. I'm so glad you shared it with us!
Max's golden retriever energy is on another level
It almost gets stronger with every episode! 🤣
Max’s enthusiasm is so refreshing. Love how polite and open minded the boys are. Enjoying the series!
Why are Armand and Max Josh's actual children like they're so cute together plus the way max is so excited it's amazing how they have given them the opportunity to do this
Josh:The dad
Armand:The older brother
Max:The youngest aka the 5 year old
Max as the little baby bear of the family continues to be a very entertaining role 🤣
Oh man Josh, Ollie, Armand & Max’s relationship is such adorable and a treat to watch. You always end up having a big smile. All of them have such a high resonating energy which makes the content so enjoyable
Max is honestly such a beam of positivity, keep it up guys ☺️
You will always be surprised how many people watch your videos. You're international. It's so refreshing on the thoughts of Max and Aramand. Appreciating being present, time giving.
Amen 🙏
It feels like Josh is taking his little brothers to Korea. What a lovely sight to behold!
Both the aunties (the one from the temple and the one from the restaurant) were so cute, they definitely deserve praise for they’re hospitality too. People like that make me want to visit South Korea even more
max is SO adorable . he’s so genuine, love it
I have been watching Max and Armand since first vid with them. Love seeing how much they have grown and their Korean has grown as well. won't stop watching Korean Englishman love you guys!
I love how these young men are teaching Josh about humility and gratitude. Such a lovely relationship.
I love how much they appreciate the culture and how welcomed they were. This episode also shows that the channel is so good and enjoyed by many.
Max's enthusiasm for the architecture was so good and that they both appreciate the little things and the time they are having in the temple, fishing and eating sea food.
I am glad they are all enjoying the trip and each new exspirence.
That’s insane you guys visited Wando! I lived on this island for a year teaching English at an Elementary school. It’s so nice seeing others enjoy the food and scenery that this beautiful island has to offer :)
Max' enthusiasm over everything is so endearing. just keep apples away from him when the cameras are rolling lmao
Max's description of eating apples had me laughing so hard I spit out my coffee. Very rare for a RUclips video to make me genuinely smile so much!
This was such a silly little bit, but so earnest too 😅 I understand, because I eat apples in a similar way!
Lol that’s like Korean Englishmen After Hours😂😂😂 rated R version
Max loving everything they did in this episode is literally me loving everything they did in this episode. He is such a beautiful soul 🥺
I really like how you give your guests a temple experience. It's always awesome seeing their reactions
Korean Englishman is one of the most wholesome channels and I am genuinely so excited each time a video is released. Thankful for the consistently beautiful content guys!
Max just keeps growing on me :')❤ I mean he was so lovable right from the start but really he is just so wholesome and his thankfulness and energy are just so lovely! My husband and I love watching these 2 and y'all's channel!!!
Aww it’s so nice to see how excited Max is, literally like watching your kids having the best time of his life.
Armand and Max saying they ate the Abalone Poo is such an Ollie thing 😂 They’re indeed the next Josh and Ollie 😂😂😂
Let's all admit, when Korean Englishman post, we know it's going to be a good video❤❤
Always! It never fails!
Agree, the captions (like everything else on this channel) are very on point! But I'm gonna disagree on the raw abalone, my apologies 🤣
I can see how grateful Armand and Max in every episode we watched 🥰 that gratefulness radiates to your viewers! Kudos to the whole team!
Max is always so happy about everything LOL love him and Armand!!!! Thanks for always taking the boys out Josh
I can NOT get enough of these guys, keep it coming. We got a Korean Englishman family going down here.
This was the shortest 21 minutes of my life.😩 It feels like when it comes to them, even an hour of clip is still not enough.😂❤
i love how max gets so excited about everything!
the tea and bananas moment at the temple really helped me step back from my own stresses, josh made it feel like I was there in the calm of that garden with them:)
1) It's so cute that the temple monk recognized y'all lol
2) Max and Armand mukbang is always top tier. Those seafood looks heavenly.
3) The restaurant lady was so cute haha
4) "I can go from the back, I can go from the front as well" LMAO
5) I can't wait to watch them try Hongeo lol
I love this one - Max got all his architecture in, and the lady at the temple was so lovely. Everyone was - they are just so nice. The area is gorgeous!
What I love most is that Max and Armand genuinely want to learn and see the culture and history rather than just going to experience all the modern sites constantly. It's refreshing to see others care so much about cultures that aren't their own.
Had Korean BBQ this weekend and one of the ladies was trying to get people to try samples of japchae... I was like "oh hell yes please" and she kept coming back with more so when I said "Gamsahamnida" she almost fell over... wonderful food
I love the fact that Max is totally freaked but dives in. More of our young people need experience like this ❤❤❤
These moments with Max, Armand and Josh are simply amazing ❤🤗
Haven't even finished watching but I'm down here typing cuz I'm almost crying at how BEAUTIFUL that encounter at the temple was. I'm the type to geek out about the architecture and design like Max, but the the... like.. the hospitality and generosity really drives home the MEANING of a place like that, I feel.
