Yes. I am working through this process now. HM Passport Office lost one document I sent registered post. I have mailed another. This has delayed and imperiled my application.
Hi! You can find out if you qualify for citizenship through your family background. Just use our CBD ELIGIBILITY CHECKER and answer a few questions about your ancestry. Check it out here: nomadcapitalist.com/products/citizenship-by-descent/
If you look at it from the perspective of travelling true, however when it comes to living in any one Western country well it depends. For example, having Western citizenship within the EU offers something you will not get being a citizen of a North American country and vice versa, but yeah you will likely realize greater benefits getting something non-western if you are already a citizen of a Western country
Ireland passport is the only passport that can let you live in the EU and the UK....!
Thanks Jovana and the team for talking about the benefits of a UK citizenship. Thank you for updating the passport index as well!
You absolutely will need to mail documents to the Home Office. It's not all online!

Sure comrade, sure.
What about a grandparent that was born in Scotland (father side)
My father was born to a Scottish mother in the USA in 1900. Is citizenship by descent possible for me?

UK citizenship only makes sense if you don’t have a Western citizenship already. So for me as US Citizen it doesn’t make sense.
