An endocrinologist in a dysfunctional marriage with an aging, alcoholic wife journeys to Africa seeking a drug that will restore youth. - Кино
Until her death, Colleen Gray said that she was surprised at all the fans this movie generat- ed over the years. She received more fan mail from this film than all the other's she had made. She answered all her fans and was very appreciative.
Really?! She deserved it! She always put a good performance in all the movies & tv shows she was in!
‘There is only one trouble with running away, you always meet yourself when you get there...’ ❤️
If only writers today could write like the classics. I would watch day & night!
The other day I thought I was watching one of those teen series on the Disney channel, it turned out to be a real movie! The quality of movies today is trash!
They can't, unless raised without screens, or at least reading classics
@@pinkbeautytwinkle it's one or 2 people....doing most if the work
@@pinkbeautytwinkle
That depends on the audience. And it’s your opinion, nothing more.
There are masterpieces being produced today, but it depends on what you consider a “quality” movie.
If you want expect some Christian morality play that teaches little girls to adopt 1950’s morality, you are out of luck.
We can’t unmake history and we surely can’t undo the things that brought us to this place: the civil rights movement, the women’s movement, the gay rights movement… I could generate a list of at least 50 movies that are fabulous. Start with public television. They produce some fine classics.
You're right. I really do watch day and night, over and over ! Age 71
I knew a few Leech Women. Fortunately my pineal gland is still intact.
I saw this movie 50 years ago and laughed at the campiness. Now when I see it, I understand how Mrs. Talbot felt. Getting old is not for wimps.
Very true!
Nice to watch a old flick without ads 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!

How on earth did I managed to miss this one all these years?. It was brilliant
It sucks to be old. Nobody finds you attractive anymore. This movie speaks the truth.
@@LaoSoftware What an ignorant comment.
The WASP Woman was Good Too.
@@maureencora1 You're right Maureen! But on a sad note, just as beautiful Susan Cabot fell out the window @ the end of the movie, poor Susan was beaten to death by her son! The judge ruled it as self defense (?)
@@michaelhughes432 That's Sad. May She R.I.P.
Gotta love any doctor who has a bottle of whisky in his office.
In the 60's and 70's my dentist was always taking a shot of vodka. The last time I went into his office for a cleaning he was sober. His hands were shaking. I told him to reschedule my cleaning. There was no way he was working on my teeth sober!
*This is a great movie...chasing youth is a fool's act of desperation! Thank you!*
*I'm 76 and my husband loves me wrinkles and all! As I do him!*
Glad you enjoyed it
@@robtw88 *I really did...I don't know how*
*I missed it when it first came out Rob!*
There is truth in what Malla said , men who age are still respected for their wisdom and life experience but women who age are usually judged only by their physical appearance.
That maybe the universal thought. But women r by far greater creatures than what's seen n the physical.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT GO FIGURE!!!!
@@benjamlnlewis6836 Yes! Now if only we could change that universal thought🤨
Depends on who you hang out with ...
@@melodiefrances3898 Yes, it is a very sweeping statement, but sadly it's more likely than unlikely.
That's because women set themselves up for that.
This movie is one of my guilty pleasures. The critics hate it, but I've always had fun watching it. Wish more of the Universal horrors/sci fis from the Fifties could be seen on RUclips...
I agree! Regardless of the critics, it's a fast paced fun little b-picture with a top notch cast...and Coleen Gray is gorgeous too!
I LOVE these old sci fi movies!
I miss subtitles in german.
Most of the time these kind of movies that the critics said were bad are the most fun to watch lol.
@@christineriegler5854 Subtitles are auto generated in German if you fiddle with the 'gear' (settings) icon at the bottom-right of the screen...
Click 'English' (auto generated...click it again and a 'mini menu' pops up) click the settings gear again and you can scroll down to German....like I said, I just checked it, but it's "fiddly".
These shows always makes me smile. The Australian kookaburras laughing in the background of darkest Africa, hysterical!!!
Is similar with the over-use of loon calls regardless of location in movies.
You know, we never really did need all those modern special effects and trickery, to make a great movie. This movie has been a real pleasure to watch, and the story and cast were so engaging.
Those smoke clouds used in the ritual, were perfect. It was exciting watching and waiting - to see the serums result. Thanks lots for sharing a great movie.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Watched this on our black and white tv in 1967! Soo scary back then, ha! I was 11
That fox stole with the three fox heads and paws is creepier than the old woman! I remember those from when I was a kid. Creeped me out then, too.
Like the rabbit paws popular for good luck.
I thought the same! Walking around with a dead animal on your shoulders….gross
I can see having a fur coat or a stole or a muff, but I do remember the late 1940's and an old teacher standing there with a fur piece with the fox heads still attached. Poor taste.
I watched this when I was a kid on Saturday night on Sammy Terry... Out of Indianapolis Indiana...
When I was in high school I never would have believed that some of the girls I went to high school with would actually become much prettier and remain so more than 50 years after high school. The writer of this story must have been pretty young because if a man lives long enough he learns that if he is really in love with a woman she never stops looking beautiful to him. I'm convinced that when couples in their 90s say they're "still on their honeymoon" they are telling the truth.
Lovely comment seeped in truth.
It is so astounding how films and picture have the power to perpetuate youth forever!! Gloria Talbott and Coleen Gray at their prime!! Forever young! Siempre viva!
However, in real life, both are dead 😢.
In all my seven plus decades, somehow I’ve never seen this one
What joy! Thanks a million for posting this - amazing
Glad you enjoyed it
... I'm a coming up behind You at 5 plus Decades... And I've not seen it either.(Tee! Hee!).. gonna watch it Right Now... TOODLE PIP! From 🏴🖖 0:01
@@TS-1267 TOODLE PIP! Indeed - hope you enjoyed it, I found that it was nicely wrapped in the expected Universal stylings and that’s really all I needed for a very happy viewing experience - and interestingly enough I enjoyed the movie too -
TOODLE LOO…!
A darn good movie never a dry moment and so many twists and turns. Defiantly worth watching
The African nature shots at 20 minutes are incredible.
Hope the leopard wasn't really killed.
Love old black and white movies. These are the best.
Never saw this movie before, really like it.
A masterpiece, even better than 'The Wasp Woman' (1959).
Oh, I loved The Wasp Woman! Scared me to death because I'm afraid of wasp! lol
Nothing is better than wasp woman
@@giannagiavelli5098 Attack of the 50 Foot Woman!
@@BellaFirenze The Brain That Wouldn't Die, but shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000! Hilarious!
Did you hear about the cat-fight back in the summer of 1961 between the Leech woman and the Wasp woman ?
What a surprise! This is a morality play disguised as a B-Horror flick! I love it!
Nice old classic - spooky without gore and enough suspense to hold your attention. Thanks for posting this.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@robtw88 Yes! Better than the gory Sci/fi & Horror Movies that are around today. Except for the Sci/fi movies that Steven Spielberg, George Lucas & maybe sometimes Tim Burton makes, they are all a bunch of blood & gore junk!😭
@fraceshendrickson690. You're so right! Go to the head of the class. They don't make them like these anymore!
Reminded me of Twilight Zone, enjoyed it very much! It is very good, much better than todays stuff! Thank you! I am 68 now, saw it for the first time.
This was really good... A little gem. The narcissism the gaslighting exhibited by the men is insane. Young mala was gorgeous and love how wife took revenge by sacrificing her husband. Really wish she had more time as the leech lady and had a few more victims..... But hey was still great 👍
I first saw this on Mystery Science Theatre 3000, so this was interesting to watch all on its own.
This probably aired on Chiller Theater, as I remember seeing this as a young teenager. Even then I realized Coleen Gray was drop dead gorgeous. As these types of films go, this is quite good.
Colleen was soooooooo hawt and perky!
When CHILLER THEATER was on TV, I was in grammar school - and there were two Chillers. Moreso than Chiller, I'd venture to say this was on Saturday afternoons. Maybe not the 11PM, 12AM horror flicks.
@@LIZZIE-lizzie Chiller and Thriller.
Is Coleen Gray the woman playing the doctor’s wife, because I do not find herr beautiful any all.
@@LIZZIE-lizzie I think mine was Science Fiction Theater with Moona Lisa in San Diego on Saturday afternoons. Never missed the shows!
Amazing how every guy behaved like a cad in this movie... Thanks for the upload, I enjoyed watching it.
I agree. I would rather be unattached than to have any of these self-centered jerks in my life.
Ironically the only guy who is decent and has a clear head is the drunken chap stumbling out of the bar
I first watched this movie at the 50 cent Saturday matinee in the 1960s. Niche to see it again.
Still watching these great moves 2020 God Bless America 🇺🇸
Now I finally remember the movie I'm remembering Gloria Talbot from - "I Married A Monster From Outer Space". She's the wife of Tom Tryon, who gets taken over by aliens.
Kim Hamilton later married Col Klink of Hogan Horoes and she was apparently the only African American who had a speaking role on Leave It To Beaver .
Also, anything HUGH BEAUMONT is in, he does a narration
Even in his NOIR films
"Leech Woman" - I thought she was going to hold them down and like a leech drain their blood - boy, was I wrong! Fun, fun movie!!
As an Australian I appreciate the sound of Kookaburras in the African bush LOL.
... G'DAY... From POM-LAND 🏴🥂🌲
This film is comprised of an international cast of wildlife. Unless they're immigrants. Or perhaps token creatures.
This one surprised me it was so good. The title promised cheap horror but the picture was anything but.
This story is like an old Tales from the Crypt, or The Vault of Horror comic.
This is a classic horror!! Beauty divine
One bourbon, One scotch and one youth serum>>> apologies to George, couldnt resist.
😂😂😂
Youth serums don't last
Gloria Talbot played in the best monster movies! She was so pretty. My favorite of hers, is "I married a monster from outer space"
That's my favorite too...and she's great in it!
I was just wondering if I could find "I married a monster for outer space".love the movie and Gloria Talbot too.
Yep, me too. I own it on DVD!!
One of my favorites of all time, I married a monster from outer space... 👍👍 😀
Super creepy. But great. Thanks so much😊
I remember seeing this on “Monsterpiece Theater” back in the 60’s. It was on tv Friday nights at 11:00.
I remember seeing this in Creature Features way back when in the San Francisco Bay Area when I was a young girl (I’m now 70)
Bob Wilkins😋
I'll be 65
A true gem....
Getting old is not easy for women...
Before the serum she looked like Joan Fontaine, after the serum she looked like Colleen Gray.
This just became my favourite Coleen Gray movie. She gets to do actual stuff in this one very entertaining.
That movie was hectic!
BEAUTIFUL PRINT and MOVIE!
Xcelent movie. Great acting too, for the day.
I'll watch anything with Coleen Gray.
She looks like a young Barbra Stanwick only prettier
Thanks for posting one of my favorites. You can't go wrong with Gloria Talbot and Grant Williams.
I really enjoyed this old movie,a bit far fetched but for 1960 it was good.
Williams stars in three of my favorite B pictures - LEECH WOMAN, MONOLITH MONSTERS, and INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN. He also when younger had a fine singing voice and even sang with the Robert Shaw Chorale (about as good as it got at the time). I love Estelle Hemsley's voice - she had a more prominent stage than film career, and you can hear the clarity of her tone especially here. Would have loved to hear her as some of the great Shakespearean characters.
I think Grant Williams was also a concert level pianist
@@jamesbrice6619 That's true! There's a YT video of Williams as a young Tschaikovsky - It was part of a 1950s tv series - and he at least does the correct fingering on the pieces.
@aadamtx I saw that film back in school, probably choir class and I remembered thinking, "Wow...the Incredible Shrinking Man can tickle those ivory keys!😅😅
2023 great movies
A rather fine little film. Made a very good job on what was obviously a small budget
A very enjoyable watch.
Cool movie
Great show! Thank you...
Glad you enjoyed it
Step aside critics ! ... a very good fun entertaining movie , I love this flick .... thank you so kindly Rob 👍👍
Rob W you the best 🌟 🌟 🌟
I saw this on Sir Graves Ghastly 's show one Saturday afternoon back in the third grade fifty four years ago. June In Dire Need Of A Fix looked just like our school teacher especially in the scene during which she tosses Grant Williams out of her boudoir when her 'meds' wear off at an extremely awkward moment. Doncha hate it when that happens?!! A remake of this fun & campy flick would be a trip ! How about Tori Spelling and Channing Tatum with Halle Berry as Mala.
To cool with Two Fox Head Fur Shawl. Born in '59 the 1900's.
I remember these. Fashion Faux Pas......
Very suspenful. Kept me on the edge of my seat.
Music cue at 1:04. Same music that gets used in "Written On The Wind" when Dorothy Malone gryates with abandon
Loved this one. June get away from Me!!! That kind of pissed me off... back to the flick
This is a stellar movie, thanks for uploading it!
Thanks for watching!
I like these movies so much! They are so interesting and still kind of scary!
1:04:32 - I recognize this fast-paced mambo music from when it was used in the big-budget melodrama "Written On The Wind" several years earlier in 1956 in a scene where drunken Dorothy Malone dances wildly at a high-class party.
This was one fine film! Thank you Rob W for uploading it! I so appreciate you.
You're welcome!
Thanks RW
Excellent 😊
NEVER seen b4 thanks so much ...I Love Coleen Gray ever since I discovered Las Vegas Shakedown " w Dennis 0'Keeke...it's fabulous....great other actress es & actors too in it...Coleen ,such a great actress 🦋
I missed whatever part with the leach...I'll have to watch it again...lol. I got a kick out of this movie!!
... "Endocrinologist?"… I'm going to Save That One For 'Best'... Brilliant.. Cheers 🥂
Thanks for posting this gem❤
Man, talk about your toxic relationship. I think I was about 13 when I first saw this. Even at that age this film struck me as being more poignant than most horror movies.
It's been years since I saw this movie!! What a gem!! Thanks so much for posting this.😊
You're very welcome!
Awesome movie I just subbed
For a 60s sci Fi, this had a little of everything. Betrayal, murder, seduction, greed, female jealousy and a cat fight.....and a dumb attorney who opened himself up a "me two" accusation!! Lol...
Since watching Ed Wood, I can't watch these & not smile. The stock footage of wildlife, the plastic plants, the QUICK SAND! 😂
Surprisingly good never seen it before and now i am glad I have.
(Old Malla) Estelle Hemsley, was the mother of Sherman Hemsley (George Jefferson, of All in the Family and The Jeffersons.
Wow really entertaining!!!
Coleen Gray was still good looking even when she was made up to look old.
My comment when I saw her: "Wow, she's quite pretty for her age." Not only is she pretty, she's rather wise.
@@billwilson5341👍
Phillip Terry, one of the four leads was Joan Crawford’s third husband. He’s the doctor in the first scene.
And I thought that Grant Williams was going to be the good guy over the other.......Oops! John Van Dreelen, rather
The wife's dress is so elegant!
Thank You, for showing this picture... 👍👍 💯
You bet!
@ Ukrandr, i remember chiller.
This is a fantastic horror flick!
This was a nice little B movie. Thanks for uploading an excellent print of it.
Thank you for posting!
She doesn't look OLD just TIRED and worn...
Yes I agree!😔😔
Can't believe I've never seen this movie! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's one of my new favorites.
Not bad, not bad at all! Much better than expected!
Enjoyed the movie good cast and story. Like black and white. Who doesn't want to be young again. But there is a price to pay 😢. Age normally with dignity and gracefully. ☕ coffee helps too.😊😊
the scene between the two women at the airport - fantastic!
Yes it is!
Wow, I saw this movie years ago & could never find it again. Thanx 4 putting it up.
You're welcome
Never seen this one! Liked it.
Absolutely fantastic..loved it..Jxx 🌺🥀💜🇬🇧👑⚘🌼🌸💐🌻
Wow-this movie was so bad but I just loved watching it again. I remember watching it, and others like it, many years ago. Definitely a lesson on how women and men are treated differently as they age. Somethings never change.
Excellent film.
