Scandal erupts in a small town when a high school teacher is romantically linked with one of her male students. Кино
Pippa Scott is a lovely actress. I’m also excited that marvelous Ellen Corby and the less famous but very talented Linda Watkins are in the cast. Look forward to watching!
I too, love Pippa Scott, who did fine work on many tv shows, including: "Columbo"; "Mannix"; "The FBI"; "Mission Impossible"; &, Linda Watkins, who also showed up in many tv spots; &, of course: Majel Barret; a fine actress, best knoen for her original Star Trek series work; &, connections; but, whom, like these other two actresses, also played numerous other lesser known roles; in places, which included: "Alfred Hitchcock Presents"; "The Outer Limits"; "The Twilight Zone"; "Night Gallery"; and, many other movies; &, television shows; as leads; and, in smaller roles.
Additionally, actor: Ty Hardin, who often did have a bit of a Southern twang to his speaking voice; was not much different than the female actresses, in that, he acted; but, was not in such great demand; not incredibly talented; didn't have incredible longevity; &, was not that well-known. His roles were almost, if not, exclusively, in minor projects; B-Films; off-roles; &, was not always a lead; nor, a, good guy type; and, has become almost entirely forgotten, since his acting days, ended, very long ago. Not that his work was so thoroughly memorable; but, at least, in this picture, the whole capable cast, gifted with a timeless script; did a rather above average job; in notably competent ways. However, one can clearly see here that his range was limited; &, he never improved it; &, his acting wasn't even as good as the other male lead here: Roger Harland.
I'm sorry to say, but, I found found the work of Ellen Corby, to be: overly-annoying; albeit, to some degree, that was the not only the role she was given here; but, the same role, that she nearly always played.
Also, note that, interestingly, &, unusually, there is a female Asian student; &, a, probably black; or, possibly dark Latina gal; in "Ms. Hutchins" first class; (as the shorter teacher, who was played by actress: Pippa Scott. A lovely actress, and, seemingly a nice person; my only objection to her, was her being a ginger).
The other cast member here; that I most like, is actor Robert Harland; who played the high school student, who played the love interest of "Ms. Hutchins". He wasn't such bad actor; but, he was probably not playing far from type; &, was not that much more of a gentleman, than the roadside potential rapists; nor, than the classroom bully: Roy: played by actor Ty Hardin.
Lastly, also of great interest here, is that in this screenplay, actress Pippa Scott, here, plays an older woman, whom a younger man fell hard for; &, her character, was receptive to that. Actress Majel Barret, who played the taller, 2nd teacher here; &, who is most known for having played: "Nurse Chapel"; on the original Star Trek series, played roles on that Sci-Fi TV show, that were older women, whom many younger viewers fell hard for; and, she was receptive to that.
Indeed. I remember seeing Pippa Scott recently in a 60s rerun of TV's "Perry Mason". She was no Hope Emerson, but she was one lovely lady. And such a good actress.
I just loved it. Big chemestry between Robert and Pippa¡¡ He's very handsome, first time I see this actor.
You're right! They had great chemistry!
I heartily concur!
Good story 👏
Glad you liked it!
This was a good movie with a very believable story.
My sentiments exactly. Good cast & script. Subject matter handled well.

Love these B movies about teenage angst. Thank you! You have a great channel and throughly enjoy it!
Thanks so much!
These high school "Kids" all look to be at LEAST 25 years old.
As I do when I take off my hat, you make a good point!
Thanks ! Good movie 🤗
Glad you enjoyed it
Decent. Thanks
Thanks Rob W. 👍🇺🇸👍
Thanks for watching!
Pippa Scott, Ty Hardin, Ellen Corby!!! Ross Elliot has the nicest voice, he did so much radio prior to TV. The same with Linda Watkins, she did so much radio prior to many TV appearances, both such trained vocal actors.
Majel Barrett, in this film, also played the character Christine Chapel (the nurse) in Star Trek.
Thanks for making this available! A well done, interesting take, possibly inspired by 1956's, "The Unguarded Moment." But a completely unrealistic handling of a sensitive storyline. Virtually no teacher, the weekend and night before their very first day working, would ever get involved in a dangerous, new relationship... let alone stay up late! You are all hyped up with nervous energy preparing for a stressful adventure. It's much the same in all subsequent years. Plus, the script leaves out the part at the new teacher orientation where the principal would have sternly laid out "the rules" involving what is and isn't acceptable out-of-school behavior. It's still similar today, especially with social media in the mix. As 1950s teachers, my parents were told never to be seen in a liquor store and/or bar. Pippa Scott's character would have been fired in the first 15 minutes of the film. On a positive note - her teacher friend's character and the overall behavior of the students are some of the most realistic representations of what a typical classroom is actually like. Signed, a retired urban teacher who taught 10,000 K-12 students.
Yep. But this is a MOVIE.
Thanks Rob
Great movie 😊
Glad you liked it!
Interesting movie! Please keep on posting obscure B movies.👍
My sentiments exactly!
TY
You're welcome!
Thank you for uploading this truly bodacious "blast from the past" ! Always liked Pippa Scott...in fact, the whole cast is very good. A sensitive topic handled tastefully. The only problem I have is that all the "students" looked WAY past high school age. But oh well.....that's how the Mercedes Benz.
Glad you liked it!
@@robtw88 I certainly did! 🤓👍
Huge THANKS👏👏👏
You're welcome!
Rosario will one day have lots of kids who resemble Hank.
Majel Barret, aka "Nurse Chapel".
At first, I thought Pippa Scott was very young Kate Mulgrew, Star Treck: Voyager, although I then realized Kate is too young for a 1958 movie. They looked alike to me, though.
Pippa & Kate did indeed looked & sounded alike !
Majel of Star Trek fame 😄
Boo hiss. Passion rules forever
TEACHER NEEDS To learn how to say NO and act like she means it.
HOT FOR THE TEACHER...
Students. Were too old looking
I taught high school and there were students who looked older than I did LOL Some kids 'mature' at a very young age.
@@robtw88 Thank you for your reply Rob. I live in Australia, and you have the
best movies on You Tube. Are you American? (you don't have to answer).
