Loved labyrinth of nightmare. Was so stoked as a kid to potentially get magic cylinder for the first time after seeing it on the anime. Most of the cards from the Battle City arc were amazing XD.
For ancient sanctuary it’d be cool to see a Spirit of the pharaoh ultra rare! Any ultra rare from LON is good in my opinion. I feel like these sets aren’t as popular but you can’t deny the old school art work from these 2 sets are amazing!
really liked how the old foiling was unique to the actual artwork as seen on the first sarcophagus rather than just a full mirror-like sheet of foiling on the new cards
Dark magician of chaos (Breaker and chaos command magician tied for second) has always been my favourite card. Invasion of chaos was the best booster, it really changed the game. I remember during that format getting back that spell which was usually raigeki or feather duster was just so good. I remember I got mine by trading for a secret rare gate guardian from a little kid. Kind of feel bad for ripping off the kid but I needed that card. I miss IoC so much. Also, I remember seeing IoC cards have those printing issues alot, so might not be wear.

I remember being the only person around that had a Gemini Elf 1st edition. I later got a Magic Cylinder from a tin that someone tried to jack at work, only they left most of the cards. So I got to buy them for a discount and it had 4 foils. I remember Cylinder being the big one, forget the rest. AST simply because it was where I got End of Anubis from, one of my favorite cards ever. I remember driving Zombie players crazy with it and tricking people into destroying Necrofear, only to Book of Moon Anubis before the End Phase. Definitely Gear Golem is my favorite from your pulls though. That card is nice looking. Also, yeah that DMOC does look like maybe it was played. I once had both a Luster Dragon and Solemn Judgment that I pulled from packs that had no name at all. They didn't have the imprint of the name either. I did once have an Injection Fairy Lily I got in a trade that was doctored. Whoever had it before the guy that traded it to me had attempted to trim the edges like Arkana did in the anime. It didn't work the way they planned though.

I'd have to say I agree with a lot of the comments that Ancient Sanctuary doesn't get enough love. I'm not horribly complaining though because it made them really affordable but I just love the themes and artwork in that set. As a kid I pulled Sanctuary in the Sky and I still look back on that card a lot and admire how beautiful the artwork is. That said though, I also thing Magic Ruler doesn't get nearly enough love. The commons are hit and miss but the Toons and Relinquished and the broken Magic cards are so insanely nostalgic and cool. I also love the whole Magic/Spell controversy, adds some fun lore to it all LOL.
When I was 12. Mum: "Stop playing with those silly cards and do your homework". Me: slowly turns Spell Economics over. I can't pick a favourite, I love them all equally...
My favorite card is Dark Paladin from Duel Masters Guide. My dad got me one for Christmas so it has warm memories associated with it. Plus he's a dragon slayer lol

I remember pulling The end of Anubis from ancient sanctuary, like 15 years ago. I still have the card, it's a trashy secret but it holds sentimental value because I have a pretty bad luck but when I was a teenager it was a great pull.

I love ancient sanctuary because its code (AST) is the same as a family members name. I especially like Wall of revealing light in that set as I played it in a final countdown goat deck alot.
For me, I really enjoy AST because I really like The Santuary in the Sky archetype. Yeah, if I could still get some of these old school packs (especially GX ones) for $1.99, you bet I would bought out the store immediately haha.

Nice classic opening today for sure! My favorite pack today is MRL, but still every set is great for sure. I haven't seen much AST open, so being able to see a bunch of it lately makes me really happy!

Those Magic Ruler really bring it back. My search for toons in that set brings back memories. And the pack art is amazing.

Delinquent Duo was always a amazing looking card.. I also love Relinquished. Double Coston was always a very solid Rare lol

Card of safe return is a favorite of mine. Tough to use in goat, however i did play against someone who used ectoplasm and the doll card with it
