    I’m a Toroline fan, have been using wasabi and wasabi X (and restring zero) this season. It feels like these brands (add Grapplesnake and others too) are designing and marketing stings to high level club/ rec players rather than just for ATP pros. ALU power is a great string if you are stringing every day). Maybe you should compare Confidential 17g to the Toro?

      "ALU power is a great string if you are stringing every day"--exactly! Pros only play one set or so before they pick up a fresh racket and send the old racket off to have the strings cut out. They don't care a whit about durability. We rec players are looking for a very different set of tradeoffs--we need strings to last. Took me a while to understand that. Soooo many of the pros' strings are great for two hours and die off fast.

    I really like the Caviar but didn't care for the Wasabi Pro hybrid as that seemed too soft. What are your thoughts on Super Toro vs. Caviar if you've hit with the Caviar.

    Super Toro is a 1.23, you should have tried Confidential 1.20 (which actually is 1.23/1,24) for a real comparison; in the tight 16x19 of the Radical Pro, I think a thinner string makes a difference in both power and spin

  • @miguelroda8779
    @miguelroda8779 Год назад

    I also noticed that on wasabi. The playability was there until it broke. Unlike Alu power which I always cut before it broke.

      @@nevinliauw hard to say as I am more of a tinkerer and generally play at a recreational level. I am yet to ask some of the competitive players in the club what they look for in their equipment and am unsure if the string would potentially suit their game.
      That said both Toroline and Restring Zero is so heavily reviewed on RUclips with positive feedback it stands out from the crowd with newer technology than whats been on the market for 5-10+ years from the major manufacturers.

    Hi, I have a question to ask you
    I currently play with a Pure Aero 100/300 with Wilson Revolve Spin at 22/23kg and it seems to me that the ball comes out with too much power
    Do you think it would be better for me to try different types of strings aimed more at control, rather than greater spin, or other frames? for example the shift 300, radical mp, gravity and others? I accept advice and thanks

    • @MPTennis
      @MPTennis  11 месяцев назад +1

      Sorry for delay. You can try those racquets yes. If you do not wanna change here is what you can do.....
      - tighten your stringbed
      - use a thinker gauge
      - use a more controlled poly (stay away from syn or multi hybrid).

    Tennis products on RUclips are so heavily marketing driven these days with tennis RUclipsrs just copying what others are doing. One RUclipsr offers a discount code for a particular string? Another RUclipsr will see it and want to do the same. One RUclipsr reviews a particular racquet? Another RUclipsr copies the video with their own version. Everyone is like a sheep following another sheep, following another sheep etc. These strings are just another example of that as its clear that this toroline company has signed up a load of RUclipsrs to promote the string. The more 'hype' I see around a product, the less I will buy it.

    • @MPTennis
      @MPTennis  11 месяцев назад +6

      Well thanks for sharing your opinion. When I do reviews for a product I give my 100% honest opinion on how it worked for me and who it might work for. As for this string, Toroline provided me with a set of KPro to try. Didn't like it for my game, but tried the Super Toro and loved it and that is why I switched. Where is the hype in that? I like it, I shared on my channel that I switched....end of story. If someone does a review on an iPhone 15 and they say how good it is...is that hype or will you buy the iPhone 15 because you want it and like what the reviewer said? Reviews are to help people with buying decisions. That's why I do them. 👍

      I feel this. However, to give some consolation, there are currently two pros using their strings; so there's that.
