A lot of people aparently dont know that Eminem was like a champion level freestyle artist before Dre ever signed him. He got second place in the Rap Olympics back in '97
I love this movie! I'm from Michigan and live about 100 miles north of Detroit. Another great thing about Eminem is he never forgets where he came from. He is always giving back to the community, holiday's he gives out free food, gift cards and so on, he also does free concerts sometimes. Not only is he very talented but he is a humble and gracious human being 💞
i love this movie but i wish they had used a line he had used in actual rap battle because it cracks me up everytime i see it. "Not to brag, I don't mean to boast / Look, my face is pale, but you look like you've seen a ghost."
This battle is literally the blueprint to how Eminem handles diss tracks. He disses himself so his adversary has nothing to say. It’s brilliant. How you gonna diss him when he already dissed himself 😂
I have this movie. I remember when it came out in theaters. I remember when Eminem was a new rapper. I'm 38. Lol I remember watching 8 mile and clueless after Brittany Murphy died.. I have 10 years and almost 5 months clean and sober. Thanks Em for getting clean and sober and staying. Today we get to live free. Love you. Asia and BJ. Keep watching listening to all of this great powerful music.
I remember when The Game said "everybody knows. You don't fuck with the white boy. I know, Jay know, everybody know." Everybody scared of Eminem. He is a genius!
@@kyle9900 What? OP comment said "don't have no beef with the white boy", and i responded with a relevant quote from The Game. I know it's not about black or white, but read the context, dude.
Love this scene. The whole story of the movie is in here, and little things like the time Rabbit waits before rapping call back to earlier moments in the movie. Rabbit also makes the case that he's got more in common with the audience than Papa Doc does.
What's most crazy for me is that Eminem wrote all battles lyrics. Plus the fact the the last one was recorded "live" is, at least for me,is simply another phenomenal factor to this already legendary kind of "last movie scene". Kind of movie, cause it's so connected to his life events. Although in real life battel he was second (just to add - second out of 80 rappers who wanted to win the battle) and missed his main aim ( winning 500$ price to simply buy diapers for Hailey), as he was just sitting after the battel on the sidewalk, a man came to him and did asked Him if he has any demo's), Em answered - sure, take one if you want to, for me it's this moment is much better than one putted in movie, as it turned out that this man somehow was connected to Dr. Dre, who when listen to Eminem type was like - I never heard this kind of rap before, bring Him to my studio right now. I don't know how exactly story went latter, but it's more known story, in contrast to story about how Dre was in possession of some Detroit rappers. But for the movie as big as 8 mile maybe ending scene with Eminem winning in the style he did is, in fact, truly more accurate and accessible to to dive into. Thanks for your reaction - as always 10/10 💎💜💜💜
Love the chemistry between the two of you, it makes me smile. I want to see you react to Bridges performed by Shaggy and Chronixx and Let Me Know by Aaliyah. Btw the first two my son watched this rap battle he decided he was gonna be a rapper. Lol he actually does pretty well.
I heard a podcast interview recently that Anthony Mackie (Poppa Doc) did a while back... and he said that Eminem talked to him before this scene & asked him if he could write whatever he wanted, A-Mack was cool with it... so Em went online, searched up on A-Mack, and used some facts off his real life for this freestyle. A-Mack went to a private school & had a pretty stable childhood growing up as far as parents... and he was totally a good sport about it. And A-Mack went to the director & asked if he could do a freestyle response & the director was like, nahh, this is good. And hes still cool about the whole thing. ruclips.net/video/tgCxlQUajrI/видео.html This scene is so much better when I see it now knowing that!!!
You wanna see some OG rap movies? Watch “Beat Street” and “Breakin’” I grew up with one the dancers from the NYC Breakers who were in “Beat Street” and even preformed on a grand stage for President Ronald Reagan, Bobby “Flip Rock” Potts. Good dude, he still lives in the building we grew up in today ♥️
Hey guys great reaction! This movie is dope AF! EM killed everyone he is the G.O.A.T! If Guys get a chance watch purple rain and this back-to-back. I call this the rap version of purple rain lol!
Just now occurs to me that Em may have been saying the first contender was a lackey to Papa Doc and his crew via the worm with braids. Or I'm just slow, dunno
@AsiaBJ react to Eminem vs Juice WRLD freestyle at Scribble Jam in Cleveland. They went 7 rounds before a winner was crowned. The same year changed Eminem’s life when he flew out to California for the rap olympics and met Dre!
How is my favourite couple I'm sure you're going to love this it's my birthday today I'm 68 years old I live in Toronto Canada and I love cannabis chocolate and I'm celebrating my birthday early LOL and I watch the ending rap battles often because it's so amazing every time❤❤❤❤
@AsiaBJ there is a video of the whole 8 mile ending rap battles. Where you can see Eminem’s opponents rap verses. Also, there is an 8 mile ending rap BONUS battles. These battles didn’t make the movie. The rappers had to battle one another for the right to go up against Eminem.
the movie in general, it's a bit hard to just jump into the ending, i had an old music teacher in school that showed us that film in class, karate kid vs steve val in the finale doesnt hit the same without the build up
Hey guys. I love your reactions. My personal favorites are your Elvis Presley reactions. Btw a new movie about him is coming out thus summer. The trailer just dropped today and I would love to see your reaction to it! God bless you and keep it up.
Two rules to follow while battling Eminem:
1. Don't go first
2. Don't go last
Just dont go 😂😂😂😂
😂
Or don't try it at all lol
dont turn up
It’s better when they show the other guy’s raps too. This is an abridged version!
I was about to comment the same thing. Lyrics mean a little more cause he uses there shit against them.
Especially since Slim wrote the verses for everyone who spit bars in this battle, not just his own!!
So a rap Battle? If they only showed one it wouldn't be a battle that's called a rap solo
Eminem is hard in this rap battle
Honestly Lotto kept it close
That last bar from Rabbit "I get the 7 digits from your mother for a dollar tomorrow" was like a game winning field goal
Eminem wrote this movie, it's loosely based on his origin story of coming up in Detroit. It's genius, Lose Youself is a classic.
A lot of people aparently dont know that Eminem was like a champion level freestyle artist before Dre ever signed him. He got second place in the Rap Olympics back in '97
Eminem must've dominated these rap battles growing up in Detroit but was never given the credit he deserved because he's white
Underground freestyle rap battle legend representing Detroit.
Did you know that Anthony Mackie, who played papa doc, was speechless because Eminem used all of Anthony's real information in the battle against him.
His real name's really Clarence? 🤔🤔🤔
Anthony Mackie played Pappa Doc And Clarence from 8Mile
Yup...that WTF expression was legit...lol...Em was savage
@JordanJamesReacts😂
Wow I didn’t no that x

Love the name 🐎🏇
Thank you candance
Eminem will go down as one of the greatest that has ever touched a mic! "Don' t have no beef with the white boy"

Em hit Clarence so hard, he left to become an Avenger.
Em 🔥🔥🔥💯 & this legendary
♥️ y’all

It's not the full version, guys. Hope you got the rival's verses too.
I absolutely love Em. He has the right amount of F-U and sass in his raps. Love him.
Fun fact: Eminem wrote all these raps!!!
And then Papa Doc "Clarence" went on to become an Avenger lol
Yes, as the Falcon
This is the earliest I've ever been to a video when it dropped 3 hours ago. Love the content as always!! thanks!
"this guys a gangster, his real names clarence" officially destroyed any criminal career of anyone with that name
I love it when she laughs at Em's Bars 😅♥️
