That wood chisel use is great. Better than the rasp I use. I may have to switch to that.

Absolutely amazing. You said in a comment below that this is how you make your living. With this level of attention to detail and quality, I figure you just condensed at least two or three hours of work into a 13 minute video. How can you possibly put out the volume that you need to make a living at this?

Thank you, this actually was a master blank I used to make a silicone mold with, so I could mold this same lure out of resin once every 10 minutes or so. I carve this kind of detail into wooden lures also, but when I do, they're certainly not very profitable to me because they take so long to do. This one ended up being a signal jointed Swimbait. There are a few dozen of em out there somewhere.

      Dwight Gordon
Are you a wood lure craftsman? I have made many and they catch fish. That being said I spend hours making from start to finish and feel like people would appreciate my work. Are you familiar with a buyers market that is interested in hand crafted lures? I would appreciate any type of feedback

Nate, I really like your choice of background music, simple, but very appropriate. Did you play the music on guitar, too? I'm a fingerpicking guitar player, so I picked up up my guitar and played right along with your background music.

+jurassicbark2000 Thanks that means a lot! Yeah scale carving can be pretty draining. That kind of detail looks great when it's finished though.

Will you make a spook or some pop-r type baits? I know they are simple but every one else puts them on a lathe and I wanna see how you would do it.

+Radz Outdoors I use Lexan polycarbonate for my lips, and I think that master blank is made out of Poplar wood. I use Cedar, Bass, and Maple too.
