I love how the pursuit themes are based on the "hunter" vibe, fits the game's lore perfectly. Sure it's not as dope as MW05, but it really fits the night pursuit vibe. Imo MW05 is where you're the threat, Heat is where the cops are the threat, hence the style of the themes.

Yeah after listening to this again multiple times both in-game and in video, it really sounds like a pursuit theme for Undercover. Like Predators converging on their prey, and the ominous and sparse use of trumpets really sell the fact that something might be hiding in the shadows. Oh and the drums are monstrous.
The incoming Charger cops that excessively brake and slide the unit out to make you slam directly into their Bull bar at Heat levels 3 and 4 terrify me more then the rhinos at Heat 5 cuz if you hit two them the same way i don’t care what car your driving heavy or not you will get put into Crit Damage range from my experience with the said cops I swear man those jerks get me every time especially when I’m on the FUCKING INTERSTATE Hauling Ass Trying to the get to the abandoned Edgewood Valley Mall rooftop at 200+ MPH, the amount of times I’ve either gotten busted or barely escape the pursuit after the incoming Charger cop doing that pisses me off.

4:00 when you start hauling ass on the interstate to get to the abandoned Edgewood Valley Mall Rooftop at 200+ MPH then two minutes later at 6:00 you get Kamikazed by an incoming Charger cop on heats 3 and 4 then at Heat 5 you get kamikazed by an incoming Corvette Cop. I don’t care what car your driving heavy or not if you hit either to the two incoming cop cars twice the same way you will get put into Crit damage range and you can’t convince me otherwise well from my experience with the two stated Cop Cars.
I don't really know about that. The chases are fun and risky, but you hardly get to fight the cops much because of repair limitations. I think the next NFS will have a good balance of both though
Hopefully they’ll be faster when ur car is fully upgraded and have more roadblocks, and since it’s gonna be in a false version of Chicago, I think they should go with the Chicago police livery style, looks really cool tbh
not really, their top speed being 200 mph and not that scary once you’re in a hyper car or just a really fast car, rivals imo didn’t get pursuit chases perfect but definitely made them very enjoyable, aggressive asf and overall scary

Replaying through the game again made me realize how scared this game made you of the police, Going up against lvl 3 and then max level cops in a mid-range car; hitting the nos but seeing those lights getting closer, them surrounding you like cattle, and a rhino approaching fast with no way to avoid it, all meanwhile you get this beautiful collage of drums, sirens, horns, and some slight guitar blaring in your ears as you feel your blood pressure rising. Unbound seems so shallow in comparison even though we have unlimited repairs and stronger cars and more variety in terms of units.
Top one. Only 3 are good in this game and could also work in daytime as well. We will never see what NFS Heat full potential could have become. Sadly unless the new game tops this one. Then this will be sad and disappointing.

In my opinion, Rivals is intense as hell, probably the most intense NFS pursuit music ever, but there just isn't much else than lots of percussion. No real melody or anything, and I feel that at times it gets too messy.

Sounds like it was the cooldown version of the real pursuit theme, cause it feels tense when you escaped the police (like it would suit the heat 8 from nfs carbon)
