airjaff it was most likely my lav mic that I had on picking up the speakers that were just outside of the camera viewing angle. I noticed after I was listening to the playback that it was picking up a lot of the speakers instead of just my voice
please i want to ask if i use matr....... and i choose pre or post what will happen ? what is the differnet bet......... them ? 2. now i have problem i have drum and guitar and the M32 there is no trs or ts input only xlr input so what i can do on this case ?
Pre just makes the value of the fader doesn’t affect what you send to the matrix (or this holds true for any mixbus or main out). Post means that your fader level does change the overall output to your output (matrix, main out, mixbus, etc) For anything that only has a trs connection (I.e. quarter inch cable) you will need a direct box to take your trs cable and change it to xlr.
@@chriscampbellmusic so on matrix if i used pre fader the level that come from mixbus will not effect the leval of volume that enter from mixbus right ? and post fater when i incnrease on volume wil effect on matrix ? right
Use the routing page, select the aux output tab, and choose what “source” you want to send to that output. This can be anything from an individual channel, a mixbus, a main output or a matrix.
@@peteryousef5177 you can send a single channel to the aux out, or the main outs or matrixes. You can also send mixbuses to the aux out. You can send the same mixbus to multiple outputs.
@@chriscampbellmusic no i mean where the control of aux out and how i can send it . i know only the control of mixbuses only to send on it but the 6 aux out i do not where to send on it ?
@@peteryousef5177 think of an aux output as simply a physical 1/4” output from the console. You can send any channel, mixbus, or matrix as an output to it. There is aux mix that is a separate bus on the console. Hope that makes more sense
New here. Are you just using the usb recorder during a practice. Saving it to your computer to be able to use it for this class? Questions how are you getting the sound to use for a later date? I’d like to be able to practice this without having to do it during live practice.
That is exactly how you do it. All you need is a laptop with a DAW and connect to the USB output on the back of the board. It is the expansion card, usually next to the power input. If you have a mac it is easy because the driver for the OS is already available. If you are using a Windows computer, you will need to download the driver. I use Logic on a Mac, so just open a new project, select the X_UF device as the input/output and choose 32 channels in ascending order with the outputs being MONO Output 1 in ascending order. If done right, channels 1-32 will line up with inputs 1-32 and Outputs 1-32. Similar process is available with ProTools or Ableton or Reaper. You may have to google how to set up the devices and channels for those DAWs. To play back, on the X32, go to routing and on the HOME screen, change inputs to use Card 1-32.
Yes. Setting gain, especially on tracks, is all about signal strength. Too little means you may not have enough signal for various processing later in the signal chain (i.e. compression thresholds/ratios among other things), and too much means that if your musician plays/sings louder, you might clip your channel causing distortion. Best on a digital console to shoot for about -18 or -12 below clip. That gives you enough signal strength for your processing, but enough headroom above the signal that you won't clip the channel either.
Are you using a Mac running Logic Pro X? And if so, are you using something more recent than Yosemite? When Apple released El Capitan, Logic Pro X works just fine, but the X_USB interface with the X32 has a sampling rate issue. Basically, for a time it will work just fine (about 2-5 minutes), but overtime, the sampling rate in Logic slowly gets out of sync with the X32. I have tried changing both sampling rates on the X32 and Logic, I have tried using different firmware on the X32. Nothing seems to fix it. And I wasn't about to try and undo my OS changes. So, we had an iMac at the church we had loaded with Logic just for training purposes, and that is why I had to switch mid-session.
Also, if you simply stop and restart Logic, it will work again for a short period of time. Annoying to have to do that constantly, but that is the only workaround I have found unless you use an older OS on your Mac.
Wow! I have the exact same problem and I couldn’t find any info on it! Maybe I dident look hard enough, but yes Logic Pro x I’m not sure what OS I’ll look in a minute, but there is not firmware or fix in logix updates or OSX updates? Do they know about it? Yeah it works fine and if I change sample eater and mess with that and apply the changes it will work for a few more seconds! It’s so annoying considering you pay all this money it should just work!
I think it is just a side effect of using Behringer X32 instead of something higher-end. I posted about it in the forums about the time that El Capitan came out, and tried again when High Sierra came out. I honestly gave up trying to fix it. I know plenty of other people who use Logic on High Sierra with other consoles and do not have this issue. I have tried multiple firmware updates on the X32, though I haven't updated it since High Sierra came out. I just know that if I want to play something back I can just copy the project file to our iMac we keep at FoH and just play it from there. We intentionally have not updated that OS specifically for this reason.
Hey, i have done some research on the issue and have found our problem. i spoke with behringer and we have come to the conclusion my X_UF card is going bad. There is a firmware update for the cracking and popping, and if you contact them they will send you the firmware, but in my case I could not even update the firmware because my card would not stay connected to the computer. all their devices have a 1 year warranty and if they are registered in 90 days it is extended to a 3 year warranty, but you also have to have the receipt.
Hey Chris! Thanks for the compliment! I hope to put up a few more quick videos, this was just part of our audio training at church. Hope to do some quicker videos with a few tricks for people!
Chris Campbell hey I got the whole church training thing with the lady who kept trying to be funny lol working in church we have to deal with all sorts of people hahaha good man, keep it up. I love watching X32 videos just to keep it all fresh in my mind. God bless man
Thoes 2 women in front are very annoying can hear them giggling throughout your presentation. Clearly not capable of understanding this level of training
@Matt Costa wtf? one of them is on her phone for a whole minute, they clearly don't give a crap. The only person who seems to care is the guy on the left, at least he's paying attention.
Thank you for sharing this publicly.
Thank you, God bless you all
What do you call the technique at minute 7:40?

rnc fmr comp or the midas and beriger plug ins like stereo lesiure comp that come with the xr 12 and mr 12.
What was wrong with your computer? I have that problem sometimes where the virtual sound check is crackling and sounds bad!
