@stranjah Can you make a video breaking down “Concentration”, that tune is 🔥🔥🔥
Hi Massive & Thx again for all your tips !! I can't find massive x presets in download to try it, is it normal? Thx again. Peace
@STRANJAH: from Manchester, England, UK. with regards to my previous Mssg. are you not even gonna acknowledge it.?? i've waited long enough for to cover the UK - Canada time difference. please, if you are not interested then at least let me know so i can take the subject to other people i know. thanks
@stranjah do you have any on the Ableton live 10 arrangement templates please?
I write a lot aside from producing, so I don't get to get stuck as I always know 2-3 steps ahead what I actually want to to do, but this makes me feel like I'm 17 again, throwing my school work out of the window to immerse myself in jungle production, but this video significantly improves my thinking and efficiency when it comes to my production choices
i was craving for that pad in the body. sick overlay footage at the end.
Ur the 🐐
That call and response section is gonna save me a TON of time putting stuff together, bro, holy shit! 🤯
Much love my man glad that helps!
Bro im literally on FL right now and started you tubing tutorials to freshen up and seeing your post is such a relief and blessing. Thank you.
What a track! What a vibe! Sounds like something straight out of the late 90s. This is one of your best videos to date! Thanks so much for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed
check my label Notorious Steppaz out, we wanna sign more stuff in that 97-98 styleeeee
Best playback yet with the ravers in the background. Enhances the experience. Glad you did the silly fun into as well. Essential lesson here.
Thank you mate!
future cut - dominator
Definitely sounds 97-98. Reminds me of Terminal Outkasts on Frontine.
Really liking the samples from the Crystl and OG Jungle sample packs. Hearing them in action and how they compliment each other, is really nice!
Honestly loved this track
Smashed it!! Those Dj Crystl packs are phenomenal, can’t wait to release the next one…
Awesome 👌
Really nice to see a new preset pack coming out from you. Massive X is a huge synth, that doesn't get enough love. The sounds are sick, that you teased us with!
This video and the ancillary materials are jam packed with useful stuff! Thanks Stranhjah!
Super nice vid, good stuff!
Dope video! Thanks for sharing! 👌
Awesome vid, will check out a few more but can’t wait to start jamming again. Thank you!
The vox reminded me of thru the vibe by omni trio
Nice articulation of your thought process
i grew up on this stuff...i feel that you done justice. Your track took me back to my childhood. Ive recently started dnb production to complement my djing and your vids are really helpful. thank you
Definitely looking forward to this one. It is always really easy to have tracks get stuck in 'loop mode', where you have a good 16 bars, but can't deconstruct and flesh it out, into a full track. Would love to get some pointers on this!
The info you seek is literally at the start of this video. Write 4 different 16 bar loops and mash them up.
Big up to Crystl! Love all his stuff and still have many of his 12", from back in the day. His drums pack sounds REALLY good. Phat, full and crisp. Really liking the other pack too, having the original sounds from his archive, is a gold nugget! Those pads and atmospheres are something I need to strive in making better.
Yes lots of nuggets in this pack
Need to book a whole week off work, lock myself in a room and work through this video and some of your other recent ones. Such good content and I like how the sounds and presets are demo’s but not overly pushed on the viewer (the work and quality ultimately speak for themselves 👌🏻)
thank you stranjah!
Another great video, I love this type of content from you!
Class! 👊
Nice work! Thank very much for you videos! 👊
awesome as usual
Yo Stranjah, big up on this. I love the videos!❤
Would love to see you do a comprehensive video on some 140/ old school dubstep!
Excellent video, as always!
Freaking massive video. Thanks!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 That riddim is a Banger 💣💣💣💥💥💥💥
Thanks bro those samples are dope
DJ CRYSTL!! An absolute legend!
This video is amazing!!
Sounding very nostalgic! Love ur vids!
My Man STRANJAH turned into an advertising channel for various music products big up stranjah the tutorials were fun while they lasted LOL
Sshhh.. mans sharing knowledge. Mans also gotta eat bro
Great !!! ♥♥♥
Go on! 🎉
Great vid dude, keep it going!
Good Vibe on this one. Brings me back and makes me want to fire up the Technics and throw down some old vinyl.
6:48 definitely sounds like Goldie - Inner City Life
banger. nice one
you tha man👊🏾👊🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Amazingly awesomely best ive ever heard sample back❤
This was really usefull. As a total newbie, I didn't realise you can paste loop scenes into the arrangment window like that. I'm in BItwig, but it works the same. Plus I'm using the AKAI APC key25, which is perfect for jamming simple chords and loops, it's affordable plus small on space and portable enough for a laptop bag. I elabourated on the drum aspect to be more personal. I made a drum bus with a variety of drum loops and precussion loops, some my own, some from sample packs, but still using same principle of scenes related to song sections.
Big up Novation! I have the SL MK3 and I absolutely love it
you found my youtube channel 😁 that crystl 183 ep was one of the very first pieces of vinyl i ever owned!
I was going to request a tutorial on switch-ups (I love them), but this is great! Thank you!
Nice colors Mr ST
Yes yes!!! ❤
Thank you for this video
I really needed that help, it's not easy as arranging 90s boom bap hip-hop beats
Nice!!! 🔊🔥 🎶 ♾
For those that remember the 90's this track would have been an anthem. Great job Stranjah. Love your tutorials. Back in the 90's we didn't have these amazing resources like youtube, ect.
Means alot Eric! Thank you 🙏
Sick track, and a good reminder: if you find yourself doing the same thing a lot, make a template NOW.
Very true. Doing so, will save you time in the future and that is time that can be better spent on the actual arrangement, or processing of your sounds.
I use FL studio but this video still helped me get an idea of how to arrange jungle/dnb, thank you bro
excellent man. im at this stage now. bless from uk homes
Sick break pack
@STRANJAH, man, mad respect. you are 1 of the producers in the matrix that i always check out. i love how you break things down . thank you for all you do! you have been indispensable along with the cats over @DNBA throughout my learning process! im finally gonna put up a couple more tracks on SC b4 this year is over! 🙏🙏🙏
🤩🤩
Thanks for sharing a good vibrations
I never really understood the interface of ableton in performance view but this workflow really makes it make sense why you would produce like that. I gave up ableton because I didn't like the UI but after a few years of amateur production I finally get it.
Big up😊
Просто великолепное виде, вдохновляет!!!
Great video. I think the amen switch up really needed to come 1st on the drop tho coz the intro had a nice fast busy build but fizzled out on the drop and threw me off the riddim. My personal taste obviously. Big up.
yeh feels like 2 different tunes
yuh yuh yuh total jam
dude flowanastasia is my fave d&b vocalist this is fantastic
Came back for a second watch one of my friends lent me a novation launch pad so triggering off loops but using the template thanks for the download ✌
Great info and extremely sick track. I hate most modern dnb but vibe with this shit. Heavy jungle and dark dnb basslines. soooo dope.
Glad you like that style
@@STRANJAH It’s the best type of dnb imo. I cant get into liquid and all the stuff thats more popular rn.
I have lots of original sounds I made with tutorials then morphed to make my own. Not into sample packs…
Do you have any RUclipsrs you’d recommend who teach how to make old school dnb/jungle drums on serum? Most of my stuff is dubstep oriented, fuller, and more synthetic. This stuff sounds very raw.
I searched on RUclips and can’t find anyone making these types of drums from scratch.
Yes Then! Good stuff! The Crystl packs are sick! Massive X as audio for us MPC headz? 👊👊👊
Absolutely. Just got the audio pack done
Thank You! This is a badly needed tutorial on dnb production. When I started making dnb in 2008, there was really loosely put together tutorials out there and it was hard to find all the correct info on the subject matter you make videos on. Really dig the well put together tutorials, also clearly explained and high production value on the video quality itself. Btw is that Donald Glaude djing during that footage behind the DAW at the end?
crystl was a huge graff writer as well back when
I just watched this again, I enjoyed it so much. If I had to have one bit of constructive criticism, it would be to have chopped up and edited the programming of the breaks. This is even mentioned in the description of the pack, from Crystl himself. I think everyone should be slicing and rearranging their breaks. This is the best way, to have tracks sounding original, fresh and unique, has this puts the personal touch on the track, from the artist. If everyone keeps using the loops as they come stock, it gets pretty dry, pretty quick, as everybody's track now sounds the same. I understand this was just a quick demo, so shortcuts had to be made, but I just thought I would make it known for those that are actually going to be making tracks, with the sample packs that they buy. Put some time and effort into your drums and processing. There is very little to worry about at this point, whether samples are cleared for you etc, because once you start using them in a different manner, they now become yours.
in the fresh complex mierder work in progress ?
Hey StranJah, i'm from England, UK, and i was a part of the original '92 movement that brought jungle to the Manchester massiff. we bought our records from black-market records in London, and was influenced by Nicky black market and Dj Hype who both worked there. Now i was searching through my original record collection and came across the biggest jungle record of its time. Please can you listen to it and let me know 2 things. 1). do you like..?? and most important... 2). what is the drum break.?? Artist name, is it a sample or original. The Track: 'Coming from the Jungle' by C.M.C and it's label is: Limited Edition, Ibiza records. could you recreate this track for us please. Thanks from Longsight, Manchester, UK. :))
I remember NickyBM well. Big ups for the memories
@@mntlfpv Glad that you've heard of him and thanks for the reply. 🔥🔥🔥 🙈 🙉 🙊
@@mntlfpv Hi There, I've put together a RUclips playlist with a selection of the Original Junglist Tracks that I used to play when I was a Jungle DJ starting back in '92. There are some seriously great tracks/Dub plates too originating back when Jungle (jungle techno), was creating its own Genre and branching out from the Techno Genre. It's a RUclips playlist I've put together, let me know if you like:

This is "Funky Drummer" beat
Banger!
Damn this track is really good
👍🏼
thanks for another great video. have you done a tutorial about creating pads? I'd like some tips on how to make complex pads similar to the sample you use/show in this project. This is something I need to put some time into.
I needed this because I struggle with song arrangement
Oh, don't worry, we all struggle. Some of us just hide it better than others. Keep going, you'll figure it out, probably... maybe. 😇
Murder track!!
10/10 for face intro. megalulz. you are awesome
Whoah can we download this track Stranjah?! Insane banger man.
The Future Cut is Obsession, of course!
Good ear you got it!
the Goldie.Co.Uk opening track! legendary!
That sounds suspiciously like how to arrange jungle in 1997 to me but I have to leave for work:D I'm sure the video slaps as always!
Take a shot every time he says ‘DJ Crystal Futurism Pack’
Easy bro, big fan of all your videos. Have you got any tips on bringing the intro back in at the halfway point? I cant find anyone else that gives info for this part of a track
is this tune up for grabs? love it
Top
4:39 It's tearing like tearing a piece of paper in half, not tear like when you cry lol 😂
Woah, he's from the future.
lil bit bored with tech house, hello dnb stuff i'm gonna shout selectah
King
Homie.. They're tearing.. like you tear paper, not like an eye tear drop. They "shread" in a way too!
Haha, I caught that as well, but I let it slide. Naughty boy, making this publicly visible! 🤣
Future Cut, Obsession (Ulterior Motive Remix).
Lots of Roland JV/XV/SRX sounds in that crystal pack.
any chance you could do a breakdown of how you made the wobble 2008 bass would be much appreciated
The final tracks is awsome, can we hear it in tne futur on your Soundcloud or buy it on the Deviant Audio bandcamp please ?
