One of the first times I’ve actually subscribed when asked lol I’m new to producing jungle but with 16 years experience with production it’s pretty exciting! Thanks
Pity RUclips doesnt let you play it, i tried putting it in my Good Looking Records tribute mix and had to redo the entire mix and video because that one track blocked the entire thing. Yet i see other channels that have somehow uploaded it without consequences, I really don't understand RUclips at the best of times. 🤷🏻♂️🫠🤣
pfms something of a genius with sound. another jungle i like. ray keith, including his work with nookie ft S gurley remix_95 track. also like formula 7 - daybreak, and religion tracks. There is possibly more, when i can remember.
ltj bukem and mc conrads progression sessions!!! many many years ago i had the pleasure to watch them perform in my town. easily one of my favourite rave experiences. and bro, ur tune is fire! thx for sharing
I was really looking forward to this. The mid to late 90's Good Looking Records sound was the pinnacle of drum amd bass in my eyes. Seba is the artist I keep coming back to time amd time again.
Seba played an absolutely wicked Past To Present set for us at DrumObsession last weekend, if you ever have a chance to hear him play older stuff, make sure you do! Then again he always kills it
The good old days, the dope days, the all or nothing days. We need some new nuttah shit! Great video Stranjah keepin 90's Jungle alive... Fuckin advertising and commercials killed jungle in the early 2000's as it does to all music. I'm looking forward to new innovations and new ways to bump to sound in the future of electronic music and culture
Been spending most of my time lately exploring the distorted kicks of the Hardcore, and Speedcore, but I always have time for some breakbeats. LTJ Bukem's Demon's Theme is easily one of my favorites. I'll have to look into some of the other producers you mentioned.
I really need those break sample packs. Love the old school sound of jungle breaks but that fullness cant be ignored, especially on newer sound systems
@@STRANJAH oh I know I will! Been waiting to afford it but should be able to next check. Literal game changer compared to all these old unprocessed breaks I have right now. The one free pack from you has had me feel way better about my breaks
Funny, been doing these style of mixes on my holeshot channel (w great success, people are hungry for jungle atm), and then went back to watch your old video you did a few years back on ambient jungle. I have a few new tracks going in this same vein. Omni Trio, Source Direct, Photek, and a few others are what got me into Jungle / dnb eons ago. Oh Danny Breaks and LTJ, Roni Size, and Greg Packer..... so many names!
Like this was taken straight from 1994! Very well done and amazing use of the two packs, which compliment each other really well! Definitely brings a calm smile to my face, while listening. ☺
Long time junglist here. Never was a fan of Bukem or the "intelligent/atmospheric" movement for some reason but this track right here is a pretty cool vibe
@Stranjah loving what you do, but I would love to see a traxk like this stretched out. Perhaps I have a high attention span for tracks like this, but I think the immediate start should be about 1 minute in, the drop at 30 seconds should be about 3 minutes in, and the whole traxk about 10 minutes long with an epic soundscape. Each element here is epic, but I would like them to have more room to build up and breath slowly. Then you have something euphoric.
Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to listen. The video was primarily to showcase the composition rather than the full arrangement. It's a bit challenging to capture the entirety of a track in a single short video. I absolutely understand and appreciate your perspective on stretching out the elements for a more extended, immersive experience. I'll definitely consider this in the future.
@Stranjah thanks for the response. I hope you regard my view as a 90 drum and bass enthusiast rather than as an expert. What you have done here is awesome. The drop is epic. You are true, 90's epic drum and bass needs some whale sound. Have you heard So Long by Seba? I feel the time the drop takes is worth it at around 4 mins, and when it does it rolls over you quite subtly. It's a tune to be listened to with headphones. I would love to hear an album of tracks like this one you have produced.

@STRANJAH: Don't forget to make a video about "Noisia - Shellshock", billions of people all over the world want to see you deconstruct and remake it! You could bring peace to the world if you make it! :P
It sound great, but it would have been better with a bit of theory, on choosing the right scales and chords to get the right atmosphere, especially since that's what you're advertising ;) And that 2nd drop's chord change was so sweet my diabeetus is gonna send me to the hospital.
When I discovered Drum'n'bass it was through Good Looking and "Horizons" by Ltj... It changed my vision of music as much as when I discovered Aphex Twin... Can you make a part two with how you mix it? And as someone else said going more into what type of chords and keys are common with ambient jungle, maybe analyzing a track?😇

"One and only "
I see these types of records as the birth of liquid 🔥
There was something about the bass line that always got me.Even after 20-odd years I still find myself humming it.
Appaloosa "Travelling", Psyne "Sly Detector", Seba "Soul 2000" are a few of my faves.
Mark Force-Proximity is one of my favorite atmospheric tracks.

Freaking love 94 Bukem. So deep, so spiritual. I love PFM Danny's Song ❤
JMJ & Richie - Free La Funk (PFM Remix)
Alaska - Aries Maze
ASC - Windchime
Polska - Swept
to name a few
Yeah, free la funk pfm remix is a banger
the 90's have been and gone I would love to hear your take on what 2030's jungle might sound like!

Photek - Rings Around Saturn
Omni Trio - Renegade Snares (Foul Play VIP)

That would be too much info. Because mixing is a complex process and even with proper lessons it would take one years to have a proper sound.
