Have you ever seen the strongarm calibrated plates? I'm pretty sure they come from the same factory as Rogue without the price point. In fact I think 99% of calibrated plates come from the same factories and you pay extra to put a logo/lettering and have them "IPF approved"
@@dominickd16 I added up the rogue and strong plates depending on how much weights you getting rogue is cheaper once you max out the shipping cost! The strong plates are like 40 dollars more but no taxes . They basically cost about the same in total. Just depends on ones preference of which they like better.

Most of the plates were exact and I couldn’t find one more than 1% off of the actual weight. Only complaint would be that they come a little scuffed up here and there. I don’t expect the paint to be too durable.
They were shipping here for awhile. I actually looked into getting them b/c some of my friends got a set. They changed their shipping prices right around this time and they were the same if not more money than going Ivanko, so I went that route.
Don't know if it's still the case, but when I ordered my Vulcan set, shipping was free if ordered in sets instead of pairs.... Granted there is no stock so not particularly relevant.

Would you recommend the Valor Fitness calibrated plates? They say they’re USPA approved and accurate within 10g. I haven’t seen anyone review them on RUclips yet, but I wanted to grab some of their 45 lb calibrated plates since they’re on sale.
I have not usd them. But what I would say is most calibrated plates are very similar, so when picking, choose one that fits your budget and you like the aesthetics of.
Most calibrated plates look the same. I think maybe the ivankos are my favorite. I have rogue calibrated plates which was a bad choice for a garage with varying temperatures, they have started to rust a lot after 3 years. I think I may next time go for the zinc calibrated strengthshop plates as I assume those would stand better with varying temperatures.

Functionality-wise they're all pretty much the same. I do prefer something that has a little bit of a lip like some of the Hansus however as it makes handling much easier (the new eleiko also have them). What it comes down to in my opinion is price and aesthetics.

Do these fit on a 45 pound Ohio power rogue bar? I ask because the description says 50 mm hole (rogues say 50.4 mm) opening and the Ohio bar is 2 inch which is slightly larger. Just don’t want to spend all that money on plates that don’t fit. Thanks!

My friend owns a gym in British Columbia, Surrey and Hansu wrote a message in an order saying if you mention you are a member of his gym they will give them a discount. They are definitely one of the nicer looking plates for calibrated.

My gym uses plates by this Indian brand called Performer. Not as popular as Challenge but I believe they're made in the same factory.
Since they're not made in the same factories as the others they are slightly different. I find their plates to be wider than the rest and they use orange on their 25kg plates. Still IPF approved though!

I think the Eleiko PL plates might actually be made in Sweden. The WL discs are for sure. Their powder coating seems to last the longest too. Either way I prefer a steel plate now (thinner, easier to grip and no paint wearing off). Kustom Kit has the thinnest and best tolerance - but the fingerprints on the nickel would bother me lol. The Watson stainless aren't actually calibrated and seeing their DBs in commercial spaces, I don't think stainless is an appropriate material for plates. The ATX chrome are second thinnest (behind Kustom) but chrome is meh to maintain and I don't like a big logo unless its Eleiko, Rogue or Ivanko (boujee I know). I went with the Strength Shop zinc in the end - thinner than Watson (not as thin as the others) and no big logo. And I can buy more plates when needed rather than made to order.
It's my understanding that their PL discs are made in China based off correspondence I've seen from their customer service reps. I've reached out again to ask.
I don't think it'll always be a west coast free / east coast paid shipping sort of thing - I think it's just based on what warehouse those plates are in right now. (Over the winter they had free shipping for a lot of their bumpers in both zones.) So if you're not dying for them rn and in the east zone, might be worth to wait a bit and see if that changes in the next batch.
I am the guy that always asks about paint..lol I love that they offer pound version and would get if I didnt already finish my Rogue Set. Which was very difficult to do. So these being available is a win itself. The pounds and kilos are basically the same thinnest so pounds will give you the same feel. And I dont like to kilo math everything in my programing.

They're IPF approved and good plates. I find they're a bit thicker than some of the other comp plates, but still a viable option.

How’s the grip on it? I feel like there could be a difference compared to Eleiko ipf based on how it’s designed.
the lip is more recessed than rogue, hansu has a much better grip than rogue plates
The Hansu plate has a slight bevel/groove, still not a great grip but the same if not slightly better than others.

Yes they do, nice tight fit (you'll scrape the inside paint off the plates the first few times, but that's just how you want comp plates to fit IMO.
If now also America just switched over to the metric system, pounds and cups are so complicated when you can have kgs and grams instead :P

Top selling point of kgs is you have no idea what the hell your lifting. PRs for days! Kg math is way easier after you get used to it.
I owned kg plates for a long time and agree it got easier, but since switching back to lbs plates I lost it.
