I do not like the idea (that seems to be weirdly popular among star wars fans) that "balance" is unequivocally good. Balance between stoicism and fucking psychopathy is not "balance." There's a reason the only Sith in the films to use Force Lightning was Count Dooku and Sidious, with Sidious using it to a much greater effect, and it's because Force Lightning is channeling pure fucking hatred. But nooo, "muh grey jedi, pure hatred is good actually because "balance."
"Trust in the force," a truely apt description of what the jedi should have done. Trusting in it, means you do not discriminate between the dark or the light, as the two always have their purposes. In this case the Dark side is like a weapon forged to fight or destroy where needed. While the Light is a shield, forged for defense and to protect or deal with those who should use the Dark for their own selfish means. A true Jedi will or should wield both, for only when they can use both the sword and the shield in harmony, can they be the protectors they once were and should be. If anything, there may be more decisive choices to be made in the 3rd one, where depending on your choices or even final choice, it will determine if you are good, bad, or neutral. Each with their own ending and neutral being the hardest to get, as it will likely require sacrifices to be made, from whats left of the important things Cal holds dear to others. Where the fiest game was sort of focusing on the Jedi, this one focused more on the Dark side, meaning the 3rd will be the choice Cal makes.

I see everyone talking about Cal becoming a grey Jedi, but I see Bode as one. Let me explain, he uses the power of the dark side for a noble cause, he just wants what he thinks is best for his daughter Kata. Sure, he betrayed Cal, sure if it was not because of him, Cere would still be alive, but as Bode sayed, he's not a monster, he's a father, and as so, he'll do whatever he can to keep his family safe. To finish, I believe it's interesting to us to think there might be a grey Jedi somewhere. The Jedi order is kind of a monk thing, and while monks can decide whether they want to exit their believings because they want to have families, Jedi can't, a Force semsitive person can't really turn his/her back to the force. Thats why I think that the concept of a grey Jedi is rrally interesting, a person that embraces his feelings, his fears, his hatred, the love he might feel for his beloved ones, and uses it to guide himself through the teachings of the force. @@anthonygarland8839 yes and no for the dark side of the force doesn't really exist, but like you said using the force in a bad way like Vader is what can be called the Dark side of the force but there is just the force, no sides nothing, the whole sides thing was created by the jedi.
To put it simply, think of the force as a rainbow, with spectrum. just like emotion. If you see a long wavelength as positive, then the shorter wavelength would be negative (that's when they were called dark side). But overall, they're all a part of the force and could be harnessed as energy to accomplish tasks. Goerge kinda explained what Star Wars and the force (as well as the dark side) stood for in a sense, the dark side represented negative thoughts and emotions. so basically, the dark side in Star Wars was a broad term to describe negative influences in the force, especially for the force sensitive - that it could convert you permanent if you let those emotions consume you. There were also dark side creatures - those fell victim to dark side alchemy that it twisted their nature, both physically and mentally. In short, the dark side is a part of the force, but its nature is harmful to life itself. You can harness the dark side to do good, but they would never be true dark side ability, and they would not corrupt you as much, if your intent were not evil. the prime example of this is the force lightning.
6:31 We need to address this. BD-1 has shown he will throw hands with anyone for Cal. Whether it be ramming Rayvis with a Star Wars shipping container or _climbing onto Darth Vader and shocking him in the neck,_ BD's proven he will do anything for his Jedi. But here? He jumped on Cal's arm and was essentially saying, "Bode, don't. You don't have to do this." Bode had once had such true goodness in himself that not only did BD recognize it, he was *begging his first master's killer* to return to that goodness. I never noticed Cal's lightsaber flashing red when he stabs Dagan before
I know what the force is but i never understood whats the dark side of the force is
The dark side of the force is literally a thing created from the jedi, it never existed until the Je'daii order the original order preceeding the Jedi order we know now broke apart into the jedi and the dark side users which would become the sith years later.
@@shadow_lands so basically if they use the force in bad ways that will make them use the dark side just like Darth Vader does
@@anthonygarland8839 yes and no for the dark side of the force doesn't really exist, but like you said using the force in a bad way like Vader is what can be called the Dark side of the force but there is just the force, no sides nothing, the whole sides thing was created by the jedi.
dark side of the force is a pthwat to many abilities some claim to b unnatural
To put it simply, think of the force as a rainbow, with spectrum. just like emotion. If you see a long wavelength as positive, then the shorter wavelength would be negative (that's when they were called dark side). But overall, they're all a part of the force and could be harnessed as energy to accomplish tasks.
Goerge kinda explained what Star Wars and the force (as well as the dark side) stood for
in a sense, the dark side represented negative thoughts and emotions. so basically, the dark side in Star Wars was a broad term to describe negative influences in the force, especially for the force sensitive - that it could convert you permanent if you let those emotions consume you.
Tfw you kill someone you once considered a friend, with the gun he gifted you
6:31 We need to address this.
You don't have to do this."
Bode had once had such true goodness in himself that not only did BD recognize it, he was *begging his first master's killer* to return to that goodness.
Lord, the writing in this game need to get an award.
In my day lightsabers cut things in two 😢
Disney star wars
Story wise I agree but gameplay wise it wouldn't be much fun or a challenge if you just one shot everything
@@Elchangito getting one shorted by blasters would be a cannon solution to the balance
I am completly disappointed that the best jedi in this time was ruined .hopefully he come back to us , the light side of the force
What will happen if he didn't embrace the darkness?
I think you just keep getting beat up by Bode until you do it. I do not believe they put in more than one ending.
I got beat up and it Respawned me and I didn’t have to do it again
He kills you
Well I thought it have multiple ending
@@Chest_Guardsame happened to me, I didn't embrace, Respawned and it didn't happen again
Embrace the Dark Side, EMBRACE POWARRRR!
He did him dirty
Hopefully in the next game, Cal joins the Dark side. With his Master, Darth Greez the Wise
Bro really wanted cal to be a homeless wizaed with that wardrobe
Geez. More misunderstanding of balance.
where is my boy Kyle Katarn ?
Since when did lightsabers NOT instantly dismember limbs?
The DarkSide of the force is the key to life , it’s much better outlook then The Jedi Orders view on the force ESPECIALLY WITH YODA’S LEADERSHIP 🤷🏾♂️✅.
But the problem is the company doesn’t let you choose your Lightsaber so you have no choice even adults and little kids are getting mad 😡 about it it’s pissing them off
Bad Cal is the way.
Starting to feel like Cal is the Siderman of Star Wars. The writers just cannot let him live a normal happy life; always has to be miserable
So sad to hear Cal's friends died
Next game: Cal continues his journey by taking on the role of teacher.
Kata will be Force sensitive and Cal will take her on as his apprentice.
I hope they have a flee to the unknown regions like the Zeffo did to get away from Darth Vader and we learn what actually happened to the last of the Zeffo my theory is they ran into a Starweird colony basically a race of banshee like creatures that roam the vacuum of space all the Zeffo get brutally killed on their ship which could be a cool opening cutscene before flashing forward to present day
And what if Cal finds out what happened to Darth Vader and how did he turn evil?
@@МурадСтариков that would be awesome I definitely hope we at least get another Vader boss with Cal being able to hold his own for longer against him Mustafar would be an awesome location for the next game to feature all Cal has to do is touch something that belonged to Vader it would be cool to explore the collapsed mining facility where he killed the separatists no doubt he would pick something up there with his rare ability there could be literally a force echo right next to Nute Gunray’s corpse
its so weird how starwars is with gore, you can have full on dismemberment with no worry about blood cause the lightsaber burns the would shut.
Bode literaly got sliced by lightsaber (which by the way should result in him being cut into small pieces and not just wounded) and was totally fine, but died from a one blaster shot.... :D
bro my guy on the lowest difficulty taking almost no damage and my guy cant parry
no its not like some games where you can parry in between attacks, its either attack or parry and once you hit attack you can't parry
@@AFGuidesHD you can cancel your attacks to parry with the double light saber stance
i didnt know ian gallagher was a jedi, i mustve missed that part of the show
As a Jedi I prefer the light and dark side of the force, it's just naturally me. I can easily do things the Sith would like essence transfer on idiots that don't deserve a body
Then you're not a Jedi lol. You don't get to skirt both sides and still claim you're a Jedi. You're just a Rogue.
@@Commander23c Both sides of the force have it's strong suits, I prefer being flexible across the board. My favorite force technique is life drain a very dark side technique, I love to use this ability on targets I'm about to slay, I expand my own life span plus deliver the fatal blow while adding another 100 years at least to my life span, while the normal Jedi just stupidly slay their targets
So you're a dark Jedi?
@@Darth_Nycta_13 I wouldn't call myself dark, more like whatever is necessary
@@princecharming8125 "The ends justify the means." We did that with the clones and look what happened in the end.
I'm not big into Star Wars, so can anyone say if any other Jedi/Sith has ever been able to achive balance like Cal?
Luke supposedly does in the old novels, but Disney threw most of that away.
Mace windu (Samuel l Jackson) did kinda to a degree I believe
And Anakin(Darth Vader) does bring balance before his end
Jolee Bindo from the Old Republic managed to balance both sides of the force, and of course Revan too. Yoda was also in balance with his dark side.
@@stevenpaul1324 in case of Mace it is something different. The difference is, that his form, Vaapad, draws darkness not from oneself, but reflects darkness from your opponent. Which meant Mace could use the dark side without having to embrace it. This also made him an unbeatable duelist against darkside users, until Anakin fucked it up.
I think Cal is gonna end up being step dad with Kana /regular dad or jusst husband with his girlfriend
FINALLY SOMEONE NOT USING GREEN , to me its Purple&electrum unless im using inquisitor Bloodshine but ill watch blue I really only like green for 3 ppl and 2 also use blue , Luke PongKrell Grievous, best combo was Revan Purple&Red
What’s bro yapping about 😂😂😂
dam lan from shameless became a jedi who knew
Dagan on jedi grand master 📈📈📈
8:50 damn cal that was hardcore asf
How are you taking so little damage? That combo he hit you with near the beginning would have normally been game over.
The part I hate the most was when dagan was using powerful Strikes telekineticly by slamming his arm stub forwards kal that shit looked so dumb
I always knew he was a traitor bro I swear
So this is what the easiest difficulty looks like
This guy literally kills hundreds of soldiers in the game lol
People in 2024
Grey Jedi > all (aka Qui-Gon)
6:40 Spartan Rage
Cal isn't a Jedi. You don't get to just use the dark-side willy nilly and then say "oops just joking haha I'm actually the good guy"
If they make a sequel, I bet it's gonna revolve around Cal struggling with the Dark Side.
your understanding of jedi is misinformed and ignorant
only a sith deals with absoluts
Luke force chokes the gamorreans at Jabba's palace in ROTJ
@ArrowSlinger You used Mace Windu who's supposed to be a bright example as to the hubris of the council. Not a good example. Anakin doesn't count considering he fell to the dark side so it doesn't even aid your argument of Jedi using the dark side. Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan are regarded as being emblematic of what the Order is *supposed* to stand for.
So with all of that being said who are these "others"? How about you stop trying to rewrite lore to serve your evolving interests you casual.
Cal should to do it
anyone gonna talk about when he embraces the dark side her turns onto a black woman
Shiny clubs
How do you get the red color?
only in a cutscene
New Game+ gets you a red lightsaber crystal
Darkside in a wifebeater hmm...
😂😂😂 Bout to have the whole hood and every redneck building red lightsabers
Title says Cal, I see Ian from Shameless?
Is this on padawan difficulty like he takes no damage
9:25 why he has the lightsaber from Dagan?
Stole it after they killed him.
@@idofx8722 but why
Secretly an escaped jedi, but didn’t want anyone to know. Was going to escape to a secret planet and live with his daughter there, but Cal wanted to bring the Hidden path (a refugee organization) there which Bode believed would draw too much attention and get them all killed so he ratted them out and tried to slip away to Tanalor.
@@ZKBro Because going up against Cal he probably figured it’d give him an advantage to have one, and he’s not wrong.
When you defeat Dagan, Bode hangs around whilst you leave, he takes his lightsaber. Its important to remember that lightsabers were rare at this time as the empire purposefully made it very difficult to make/ aquire one. Its likely Bode lost his or maybe had to ditch it to blend in.
How long would for cal to die at the damage degan was outputting
bro just does not lock on
