“Folks, if we could lose our salvation, we would.”
― Voddie Baucham
Amen 🙏🏼
Very good! Encouraging thank you for sharing. “When I fear my faith may fail, Christ will hold me fast, when the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast”.
God please restore me.
Help me Lord find peace in your promises.
The more you know of God and His holy Scriptures, the greater your assurance will be.
I literally just listened to a sermon from him for the first time last night at the Masters Seminary and now here he is!
Thank you for being faithful to His Word
This man is a very good author. Very happy to see him here
Thank you for this wonderful biblical preaching! I needed this sermon so much.
I lost my daughter in the last few months & I desperately need prayer & reassurance of my salvation in the mist of unfathomable grief
I’m so sorry for your loss, Diane. I will pray for you. May Christ comfort you and His peace be with you.❤
I’m sorry for your loss also, Diane. Praying for you.
praying for you
“He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
John 5:12-13
Only Christ provides the asbestos righteousness to me so I may stand before the blazing holiness of the Triune God. - John Piper It’s NEVER you!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful sermon. 😊
This is a LECTURE, not a sermon. You don't know the difference????
“27Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!”
29Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20
How can you truly know that you're one of His sheep? What worries me is, "I never knew you." Yes God does it all, but how do you know He did it for you?
Hey Rick! This is a great concern but it’s a bit packed to respond to in a little text box. I can make a short responding to This if you like and we can go from there? No pressure, just trying to help.
@@Bible_knowledge Please!
@@Rick-kp6wf you got it, brother. I’ll post it here once I’ve made and uploaded it. Praying for you and am encouraged by your heart to know
@@Bible_knowledge Thank you for the prayers.
As someone who struggled with this issue for years, I can totally relate. God bless you.
Thank you for this teaching. Thank you for teaching profound truths so simply.
But how can I know if Christ died for me? I don't have that information. How can I know if I'm elect? That's my biggest hangup. If I knew I was elect It would be easy to believe.
My lack of assurance right now is because I'm struggling with the unpardonable sin. I've confessed Him openly and have shared the gospel and i exhibit fruit of repentance but years ago I said some disrespectful words about the HolyGhost. I cussed at Him and said He was a liar. I said He was evil (though that time it was honestly out of confusion because I misunderstood a passage of Scripture). The only thing I didnt do (at least I dont think I did) was attribute Christs miracles to Satan. I was on heavy meds at the time. Methadone. My memory is clouded because of a life of drug abuse. Also, getting confused about Gods decree of my sin lead to a negative disposition because thinking God wants me to sin against Him and I have no choice. Misunderstanding Calvinism and Gods character led to being traumatized. I have since gotten off the Methadone and have repented but it still haunts me.
It would not bother you if you had committed the unpardonable sin. You would not be interested in listening to biblical preaching. You need to talk to a pastor.
@@nancyarnold1976 Yes I've heard and my pastor assurs me that I haven't committed it because the passage is talking about ultimately rejecting Christ which is the only way to be forgiven of any sins. I've heard other teachers and the several I've heard say I haven't committed it either, but I have really bad ocd and not understanding scripture or trusting their teachings makes it difficult.
@@Music-zm5bi Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, even though he dies, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
Dear one, Jesus foretold of two mens denial of Him. One openly denied Him THREE times and was forgiven. One secretly denied Him and it was better if he had never been born.
Your concern over this is a good indication that the Lord has softened your heart and drawn you to Him.
Repent and receive Gods free grace!
This is a big reason I left the Reformed Faith. Assurance of salvation is completely subjective based on your own measuring of how you live up to the beatitudes. Conspicuously absent is the role of the church in conveying the grace of absolution and other assuring benefits coming from the sacraments. The sacraments assure you of your salvation. Those sacraments are God’s gift to His church. I became Catholic and no longer have any doubts about my standing before God. Jesus gave his church the power to forgive sin. John 20:23 No Reformed church I ever attended believed it had that authority. They were right. That’s why I left.
