- The lack of access to basic health care is a problem for at least half of the world’s population. But especially for Cabinda. Cabinda is an exclave of Angola that is separated from the rest of the country by the Democratic Republic of Congo. For many years, people living in Cabinda had to travel long distances to receive medical care, often facing risks and challenges along the way.
But things are changing now with the opening of a new public hospital. The hospital now offers modern diagnostic imaging and treatments that were not available before, and people no longer need to travel long distance to receive care.
