Not all of you but I'll guarantee most of you have anemia . It's a big contributing factor for dark circles under your eyes . Get your hemoglobin checked to find out if you suffer from anemia . If you are anemic treat it ! If the dark circles don't improve after at least half a year of treatment look into liquid iron supplements. You may have a problem with absorbing the iron . I did and was switched to liquid. Good luck❤

The hard part is most people don’t look into the quality of the red light device. You need to make sure it’s up to the medical specifications. Just because they sell a red light device and show studies claiming all the benefits. Doesn’t mean their device has the same specs as what’s shown in the studies. It’s a loop hole many companies have done to sell products. True devices are extremely expensive but effective. Guess it depends on what your definition of effective is though. Many people expect drastic changes. I noticed a wonderful change in my skin. Better than I expected, but I also don’t have unrealistic expectations :)

I've gotten the hollows in this past year and they make it look like i have bad dark under eyes too. They really bother me. Ive been researching and really don't want to spend money on things that only last a year or 2 and then have them back. So i really think I want to go straight into the undereye surgery and while I'm at it I think i will do the upper eye for the hooded eye too. When I sell my house thats 1 thing I plan on doing for myself. I have always spent most of my time taking care of others since I was a little kid. I lost my husband a year ago after taking care of him being bedridden. I'm taking care of my mom after she hurt her hip. I have taken care of many elderly people and even more kids over the years. I really feel like i deserve to do something that makes me feel good about myself and these hollows make me feel really ugly and old. But I'm not much older than the dr doing these videos. I'm determined to start taking more time for myself.

I noticed my under eyes have gotten worse I have puffy and hollow under my eyes are making me look tired, sick and old. My confidence has gone down, I live in San Antonio Tx, I was hoping you would guide me to see a doctor in my area that I can trust with my concerns. #askthedoc I have under eye hollows, some under eye wrinkles (I am 40) and dark circles towards the inner tear trough. Would an under eye serum/cream that contains caffeine make this worse? I was told that caffeine was only good for puffy under eyes and eye bags but it seems to be in most eye serums and it's confusing. Why would someone with puffy under eyes want to use the same serum as someone with hollows and vice versa?

Dr. Stefani, how do you tell the difference between under eye bag swelling vs. bags from ageing? I started getting bags around my late 30's. The bags have progressively gotten worse and now what started as a tired look now looks like an undiagnosed medical condition. Every doctor that I have had speculates thyroid, liver, allergies. They all say that the bags are swelling. I've heard it all but tests come back normal. I'm 53 and except for these bags my face hasn't really aged very much. No doctor (and there have been many) has been able to help me. I just want to know if it's normal ageing or a health issue.

#AskTheDoc If you have small pigmentation spots above the orbital bone + near the lash line, would pico be best? No one will treat. Keep getting recommended peels which doesn't do anything.

Question: Dear Doctor Kappel - what do you think of Potenza RF Microneedling for treating under eye bags and skin laxity? It was just recommended to me here in Europe and I would love to have your thoughts. The doctor said It’s appropriate because I don’t have wrinkles and the downtime is less than Fraxel. Your thoughts?? Thanks so much!!! #AskTheDoc

It does still work, though. Shw jyst happens to have the big gubs in her office so of course she wouldn't endorse something that would have to come in for many sessions vs one or two. I do the skin pen microneedling under my eyes on .5 every month.

Don’t do it. Look up RF micro needling and fat loss. It can actually age you.

When you use lasers on your under eyes and you do it to yourself, not wearing those internal eye shields I imagine, so you can see what you're doing- does that mean it's not dangerous or harmful to your eyes? I've never had any laser treatments, but I'm interested in starting so my under eyes stay looking as good as they can. The shields in the eyes keep me from getting it done. Can it be performed without those inside the eyes?

You’ve not mentioned biorevitalisation/ mesotherapy at all. There are so many injectables for the eye area. Which ones would you recommend, are they not as effective as thermage and laser?

Dear Doc, what do you do yourself / your face to have a face of a 20_30 yeaars old ; no "hole" or sunken eyes area ...i have been so disciplined in my diet and sport, but passed a certain age, lus stress and one late night and it shows up ..with thin skin filler is not my favorite solution, micro needling can be damaging ...what do you think ..no wrinkle , not o much but this and some lip lines ...thermage even for "slightly sunken eye area for someone
