Honestly i target sombra specifically looking for her trans
Its okay to go for her once in a while when the enemy team is slightly isolated from her even if u don’t look for her translocator. She will have a hard time trying to assassinate the supports this way each time she comes out of invisibility behind them.
Played against a tracer god recently. It was push and they almost got to the end fast. I swapped to Sombra, and we won easy.
Add cassidy to this as well
Sombra loses the 1v1 to Tracer. She has Recall back before she dies and does far more damage.

I always say elims and damage mean almost nothing on tracer. The main value is distracting the enemy to divert their attention and allow your team to win the Frontline fight
To be honest I always felt guilty because 80 percent of my tracer games my elims would be under the other dps is my team and sometimes the enemy dps as well I wish I was good at tracer especially her aim she seems so much fun once you master her
Very nice first tip, but I want to caution everyone that the last tip is very misleading!!
Saying “oh I have recall I should play risky” is the complete wrong mindset. Having recall as tracer is basically a necessity to engaging.
Instead of “recall -> play risky”
Think “no recall -> play safe”
You should aim to save recall as much as possible so you can keep it to save you when you really need it, not just so you can go aggro on someone. Only use it for risky plays if there is a good chance of an elim from it. If you don’t think you can get a kill then don’t use it.
Bros casually flexing all the new skins
Uuuh
Rebind ult to your left shift so that you can use it while moving easier.
Even if you cant kill the supports harassing them will be effective during a team fight.
Dont be afraid to ignore the backline at times to charge your ult on a tank. They are big, slow, and your ult charges quickly.
Try not to make a habit of recalling after using an ult. Sometimes its necessary but most of the time a single blink will keep you safe to use recall when it matters.

Only a few days into the battle pass and he's already tier 80
Last season, I got a Tracer POTG. I subconsciously did the 3 second thing when waiting for the enemy to be in a position where they couldn't run from me. It was Esparança and they were pushing the bot under the bridge area on our side where Widows like to pick off squishies, and I watched our Lucio die. I stepped back behind a wall, waited a couple seconds, dropped a sticky on em, and recalled. Triple kill netted us the bot for a solid 30 seconds. We lost, but I think that was the moment I realized I was subconsciously taking in everything I've been learning about playing Tracer.
i've been playing tracer for awhile and trying to get better and didn't know about the blink melee. preciate that!
Blink melees are also VERY good in confined spaces. It's really hard to do anything about them because shes Blinking in, meleeing, getting just out of range, then doing it again, shooting between when she does this. It both makes you harder to kill and drastically lowers your ttk.

What eye tracker do you have? Trying to get one that works with glasses
I oftentimes do just distract both supports to guarantee wins for my team
The power of a flank class, and why and how mobility can often be better than a huge health pool or towering defense
The enemy can't kill you if they can't hit you.
Biggest tip full stop when playing any dive character (Yes i even mean lucio and dive tanks) Is how important distracting the other team from a off angle can be
As a support main, Tracers scare me to death.
He forgot to say the 4th tip, make sure you stand still when doomfist is charging up punch, that way us doom mains will find it harder to kill you...

Also, avoid fighting Brigitte because she can use a shield bash with whip shot basically killing you in one-three hits. That strategy is what I use when I play as Brigitte against Tracer

Man, I love how they nerfed her with worse spread, and they removed her escape tool with recalls when stuck or slowed. This season's changes are AWFUL.
Also never push in without at least 2 blinks
Yes and no I'd say 1 is good but always holding onto them waiting for having 2/good situation will make you play way too passive
I'd say a better rule is always play around cover so if you run out of blinks you are still safe

And have noticed tracers are EVERYWHERE!
So obviously that explains this.
Ngl, after playing tracer for a few hours and being decent at it, whenever I play a different character now and I am against an enemy tracer, I can deal with enemy tracers much better than before

playing as a distraction will get you far. but if you want to climb above diamond you need to get rly good positioning and tracking so you can actually kill the enemy supports if they do a small mistake. I climbed to M with mostly tracer but also hanzo,widow
Playing as a distraction is important throughout all ranks. Coming from a GM Tracer otp
@@QrowxClover yes ofc its literally the characters purpose. But you can play her wrong and still be plat. If you get the hang of tracer and practice tracking, getting Gm isnt so hard :D. Top 500 was way harder tho but still

I got a tip for new tracer players. Don't play tracer, it'll save your mental sanity
some new tips for tracer mains out there. Don't play Overwatch 2. Come to think of it, that goes for anyone really.

Awkard's teaching is good in theory but in low ranked lobbies people tend to not have good target priority so just off angling and shooting doesn't always get the job done
Avoid tracers new skin
