“...you don’t necessarily need to kill the enemy, just poke him around and let your team do the rest.” Meanwhile, my team: “guys guys look if you fall off the map you die!”
Compared to the other hosts Danteh has more team-based approach with his tips, I like it. I imagine that his long pro experience had an influence on that.
Agree, he's been my fav guest so far. Stuff like that pharah tip is so much more useful than trying to come up with some 1v1 gimmick just to fill out the video.
A good tip for Blink management is to only Blink when someone is actually looking at you, if they’re not looking at you they can’t shoot you so Blinking is not only pointless but you risk putting yourself in the enemies line of sight. Also, if an enemy is A D strafing, do a 90° Blink to either side of them. This turn their back and forth lateral movement into forward and backward movement from your perspective that doesn’t require as much movement of your crosshair making it easier to land shots.
I could be wrong, but the sound of blinking around seems to be way more noticeable to enemies than footsteps (esp if you're spamming crouch walk). So walking around instead of blinking would help with CD management and make for more efficient flanks.
@@redrobbie7977 same, but given the amount of practice techno put into dream vs him and he only improved since then i dont think danteh has much of a chance
@@aesie1229 danteh was that good? i mean if he gets coached by someone like dream or fruitberries he could have a chance against techno, it would give him a lot of views tho, techno had 320k viewers on his last stream
That tip at 6:15 is something that I never realized that applies to all heroes countering Pharmercy. Why didn't I think that the other healer isn't going to get nearly as much help?
Because a Pharmercy spamming your team can be brutal to ignore depending on the map/team. Lower SR players afk in choke and are too scared/stupid to find a path to push; some maps have literally one choke that you HAVE to get your team through, so Pharah can knock people out of position or farm you on approach. All that said, forcing a ground war even if you lose or focusing people Pharmercy can’t peel for ends up being faster and more effective than trying to kill a Pharmercy (unless you play with a god hitscan).
it's the little things! a lot of the trick of overwatch seems to be (1) being able to observe your surroundings, (2) acting on that information, like repositioning when you see a flanker, and (3) using the observations you make to plan your next move. that is really hard to do! I feel like we don't appreciate the difficulty in that. people just want to be like "oh people are stupid" and that's not it. overwatch is a complex game where you have to make split second decisions based on immediate observations in each individual match AND bringing in a lot of foundational knowledge into the match. those are not skills that you necessarily build in other fps games. it's why god-like aim doesn't count for much on its own in ow. and even when it comes to something like pharamercy, it takes two mental steps to even being able to begin to do something about it. you need to first observe that pharamercy is wrecking you and then also know what you need to do to survive so you are alive long enough to do something. and then you need to think beyond the pharamercy. you have to have the presence of mind in a tense situation to think "pharamercy means the other support is completely alone" and then also realize "that means I can use my kit to take advantage of that" and you also need to have the base knowledge that "if I kill the other support, then there's nothing to support the tanks, which means they can't push and win the round/point/match" that's actually a lot of complex thinking to do in a very short period of time where the pressure and adrenaline is more likely to take over. if you mix that fact with the nerves that come from not being fully confident in your use of your abilities, that makes it hard to make the plays you need to. TLDR this game is actually hard, especially when you have other things in your life so you can't devote all your time and brain space to stuff like video games, much less to learning and retaining very granular knowledge like this
1 more tip is to blink through an enemy, wait half a second and blink back pressing s (you don't need to turn around). If you time this well, you will blink back while the enemy is turning around and he won't realize where you are. Then you can easily 1 clip him in the back. This works great against Mccree and can trick lower rank Reins
KarQ idk if you will do this some day but I think it would be nice if we could have a series like this but it would be about key binding, sensibility, and crosshairs.
