It works for me sometimes, against people with Silver and Gold borders in high silver. Reapers and roadhogs in low rank are insanely incompetent, very easy to spot death blossom ad they just charge into your team with wraith, while better reapers will hide and then do it when you're in a team fight.
Take the tip to be double sided, then: Use it to bait anyone who falls for it, and if they won't be baited then they're a free flash for the kill (not to say that the kill is free)
