Turbulent CROSSWIND Landings at Düsseldorf - Airbus A330, A380, Boeing 757, Boeing 737 ...

- Last week storm "Doris" caused a few difficulties at various airports in Europe. In Düsseldorf the wind wasn` t that strong but you were still able to notice a few crosswind effects. This time I focused on the approach path to film turbulences on short final. Check out the Condor Boeing 757 playing with the thrust levers on short final. It` s clearly visible due to the smoke exaust of the B757. The Airbus A380 did a great job aswell, giving a perfect exampe for a "crab landing". All three types of crosswind landigs were visible in this video. The Condor Boeng 757 made a De crab landing ( Approaching the runway sideways and allignning with the runway shortly before touchdown)

Sturm Doris hat letzte Woche mal wieder für ein paar Probleme an europäischen Flughäfen gesorgt. Bei der Condor Boeing 757 kann man sehen, wie die Piloten im Endanflug mit den Schubhebeln gespielt haben, um die Seitenwind auszugleichen. Die 757 ist inzwischen auch schon etwas äter und wenn sie ordentlich Schub gibt gehört dieser Flieger auch zu den "Smokern". Ansonsten habe ich mich heute mal auf die Anflugpassage konzentriert, um die Seitenwindeffekte vor dem Touchdown aufzunehmen.
La semana pasada, la tormenta "Doris" causó algunas dificultades en varios aeropuertos de Europa. En Düsseldorf el viento no era tan fuerte, pero todavía se notaban algunos efectos de viento cruzado. Esta vez me concentré en el camino de aproximación a las turbulencias cinematográficas en la final corta. Compruebe el Condor Boeing 757 jugando con las palancas de empuje en la final corta. Es claramente visible debido a la exaltación de humo de la B757. El Airbus A380 hizo un gran trabajo también, dando un perfecto examen para un "aterrizaje de cangrejo". En este video se podían ver los tres tipos de landigs de viento cruzado.

Vérifiez le Condor Boeing 757 jouant avec les leviers de poussée sur la finale courte. Il est clairement visible en raison de la fumée exaust de la B757. L'Airbus A380 a fait un excellent travail aussi, donnant un examen parfait pour un «débarquement de crabe». Les trois types de crossbands ont été visibles dans cette vidéo.

Dumb question - if you were a passenger on one of those planes and not near the window, would you know the plane is doing a crab landing? I was on a flight on a windy day and we landed so hard that I wondered if the pilot was flying in at an angle. Excuse my ignorance! I love your videos.

What's up with the follow me truck for the A380? Is that protocol there?
Don't forget that your viewpoint in this video is not shared by the cockpit crew. They are creating flight path projections based on their assessment of the aircraft's position relative to where they want the aircraft to be.

Andrew Anane No, you have it wrong. It's the Dreamliner. Go upstairs and do your homework and Google Qantas A380 uncontained engine explosion.
BobEckert56 Least it survived. More Boeing aircraft get more uncontained engine failure and most of those did not survive instead going up in flames like British Airways Flight 2276.
