A lot of people don't want to hear this, but a big part of it is just a skill level thing. Most people don't wanna improve their KH3 game. I mean look how long it took me my first time on normal Crit lol ruclips.net/video/r04erfiWSog/видео.html
@@BeeboySR yeah, and even some very skilled gamers are pretty close minded about KH3. I love to see the progress and things you find when you continue to learn about kh3.
I'm aware this video is now almost 2 years old, and so there's a good chance no one is even gonna read this, but I still wanted to leave a comment. Your guide really helped me out here. Been struggling with this boss for a while. But there's some key things I just wanna mention that made this fight alot harder than it should have been.
First of all, I turned off Mike's Googly Appeal and left his Pep Talk on, and after I changed his behaviour to Hands off, but that seems to make him never use his Pep Talk, in fact since he's not using his only ability and hes supposed to not attack, he literally starts doing nothing. I changed him to Stick by Sora and immediately on my next attempt he started using Pep Talk again. I also left every other party member on Stick by Sora. When I had them on Be Yourself, they'd end up scattered all over the area during his winged phase and pull his hands away from each other, which meant it not only made it harder to keep track of them all and react to their fireballs, but taking out enough of them on time before his 2nd set of wing flaps was near impossible. I'd always end up leaving too many alive or killing to many, making him turn back into blob form. Changing them all back to Stick by Sora fixed this issue and made his winged phase much more consistent.
In general though, I can't say I like this boss that much, but it wasn't too bad. The fight for the most part didn't feel that frustrating, except for a few gripes that I had. Most of my failed attempts, even before I used these 2 tips here, felt like they were on me. The hitboxes and block timings also felt very generous, to the point where even if I'd get sandwiched next to a wall during the charge phase, even with the awkward camera angle, I'd still be able to block everything just fine. The things that did bother me alot during the fight all had to do with the hands he'd spawn in blob phase. For example, often it felt like I got them all on time, but he'd still spawn a 2nd, sometimes even a 3rd set. Also, they'd regularly block my camera, so I'd get stuck with an awful angle and I couldn't see the other half of the hands, making it impossible to dodge or block any of their fireballs. There were even more aspects that I felt made this part of the fight so much less consistent compared to the rest. But again, thank you so much for making such a detailed guide. I'm kinda surprised this video only has like 900 views.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Your observations on party member behavior are interesting; I'll have to play around with it. I'm also in agreement about the blob phase hand-spawn, it's not a particularly engaging move.
Low key fucked up how they encourage you to do the boss that's weak to blizzard right before the world with the designated Ice keyblade :p Very impressive fight, this is probably my second favorite Disney World boss behind Davy Jones
Well, that you can do Arendelle before fighting this boss and be able to use Blizzard Claws and Blades on it is an intentional design decision, I feel like. It rewards you for understanding the boss's weakness as well as how to exploit it. I love Lump a lot, winged phase is very satisfying to just get reprisals on.
As one who also did this on lv1, NG, crit and all pro codes, I still don't know how to feel about this fight... I struggled for long until I found a kinda similar strategy as you but maybe it's just me Anyways, you did a great job as always and next time I will try him with your strategy and then I will tell you how it was
It's a hard fight for sure, and winged phase can be super chaotic. If you don't like the fight that's chill, I just think people really don't give it a fair shake based on what a few content creators said early on
@@BeeboySR I want to like his fight, I really want to cuz I think just as sköll that he is a fair fight, just more technical then other ones. I really want to try him again. And yeah that is sadly true, I don't know why people don't make up they're own minds and just take the opinion from another one
You can find a link to the full strategy guide for this boss here: pastebin.com/pcfR7hEQ.
I remember when pro codes came out and people were saying this fight was really bad... turns out first impressions aren't everything.

Thanks for this i had to take off some abilities like triple rush cause it leaves me too open to getting attacked.
Triple Rush's windup is pretty slow for the short combos you'll want to do on Lump, yeah
thank u these guide !
No problem, glad I could help!
