The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence with a Top-5 Nationally-Ranked Fine Arts Program, recently performed "Miss Saigon" on its main stage in the Page Family Center for Performing Arts. Starring sophomore Aubee Billie (Kim), senior Clay Hider (2019 Jimmy Awards nominee, Christopher Scott), senior Kyle Martin (John Thomas), sophomore Olivia Henley (2019 Jimmy Awards nominee, Ellen Scott), junior Chris Santiago (The Engineer), and senior Chris Pappas (Thuy), and a talented ensemble cast--this musical was an instant crowd favorite.
TKA’s Conservatory of the Arts, a two-time American High School Theatre Festival award-winning fine arts program, is led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater, Department Chair), Mr. Nathan Adams (Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Dance- Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz), Mr. Douglas Gawriljuk (Dance- Ballet and Modern), Miss Sarah Fahey (Theatre Arts), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft), Mr. David Skinner (Instrumental Director), Mr. Wes Lowe (Assistant Band Director), Mr. Patrick Clifford (Strings), Mrs. Macey Norton (Video/Digital Arts), Mrs. Lauren Moxey (Visual Art), Mrs. Stephanie Grasso (Elementary Choir, Woodwinds), and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Piano).

Probably one of the most beautiful, most resonant Kims I've ever heard. Been listening to 3:39 for a bit.
This Is spectacular! Their voices are amazing! And the girl playing Ellen Is a true gem. I Hope to see her in Wicked, with that talent she can easily perform as the professional
WOW. I love the effect this staging has: Chris, centre stage with Kim and Ellen on either side. To those who know the story, it is a wonderful visual depiction of how he feels torn between two women whom he cares deeply for, both of whom he has hurt.
However to those who don’t know the story, this staging will seem a little confusing since it’s not clear that Kim is in a slum and that Ellen is now the most important woman in Chris’s life. Just a little suggestion. This production was great, especially considering that it’s a school production and not professional Broadway.
And how both feel even though one is close to him far away both physically and metaphorically
Ellen is amazing. Authentic. Believable. That voice. Diction, clarity. Kim is quite spectacular too. Well done.
Agreed this is a tough duet and these two slay it.

So I just checked Wikepedias symphosis. This takes places three years after Kim and Chris met. Apparently Chris left Kim in Saigon. Hes now married to a America woman named Ellen. In this song both women reveale they still love him.
He had to leave her behind, because his crew wouldn't let him go get her. Kim years later has hope for their relationship, and she thinks her son is proof that they belong together.

everyone’s voices are so lovely!! the only critique i have is that many of the actors seem to hit higher notes by sliding up/down into them. other than that, absolutely amazing!! especially for their ages!!
