    I like the way you continue to cover every aspect of the individual parts of the crossbow and all the different components. 😊

    Btw the weight is with a 100 grain head on it so just subtract 100 from whatever it says on the box or arrow

    I started using the 20" in my Killer Instinct Bone Collector 370 last season and I killed a huge ten point buck. Hit him like a mallet! Im sold....I will be using these as long as they make them. Excellent bolts.

    The nock with the deep grove is what is used with scorpyd crossbows and that other goes with a ten point crossbow

    I'm looking at making my first crossbow purchase for this year's upcoming deer season. Among other articles and review videos, I've also just about settled on the Whitetail STR, and these same arrows showed up on a review article for Best Crossbow Bolts for the Money. Appreciate what you've got going on here, especially with regards to "entry" level crossbow hunting. Liked and Subscribed.

    I ordered these and have the same crossbow. Because they punch so hard I had to get a different target that could handle it because I knocked fletching loose on three arrows. However, it didn’t hurt the fletchings so all I had to do was glue them back on. Great bolts for sure. The target I ordered was a morrell yellow jacket rated for 425 fps. Hopefully it’ll work well.

    Great bolts. Shoot with a 2 blade ,125 grain Rage, at 20 inch length. I’ve put 2, large body mature bucks with my PSE crossbow. I got mine wrapped and lumenock’s added. One dropped in under 10 yards from direct engine room pass through. They other buck piled up approx 35 yards on a double lung pass through. No complaints whatsoever. Recommend them they pack some serious Kinetic Energy/knockdown.

      Ryan, thanks for the input man, that’s some good stuff. Yea these have plenty of energy and I have had similar results with deer only making a short distance. Thanks again!

    Great video! I’m new to Xbow and am looking at the Barnett Whitetail Hunter STR. I’m wondering what target tips you are using (weight and diameter) and what is the best target block for an Xbow. Thanks! Keep the Xbow videos coming!

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  3 года назад +1

      Thanks JD yea the STR is a great xbow and performs like bows that cost way more, I’m very happy with mine.
      The field points that I use are just cheap Allen brand ones from Walmart, they are 100gr. I’m not sure the diameter maybe like 1/4 in. The target I use I found on clearance at Walmart for $22 I think normally it’s like $60 or more but I would suggest something a little better. It barely stops the bolts now and it is brand new. But any block or bag style crossbow target should work, just keep in mind you get what you pay for. Glad you like the vids man!

      Can I suggest stuffing a decent size box tight with old clothes and wrapping with duct tape? I couldn’t find anything to stop my bolts that didn’t cost a lot! I saw a guy on YT doing that and it works great. They won’t go through. You’ll have to change the box from time to time but it’s worth it. Happy hunting!

      @@donjaun1423Dude yes i found this out on accident, didnt have a target so i grabbed an old backpack and some wet clothes that were laying in a pile in my barn, best target ever, just put a fresh layer of duct tape on the front each time.

    Will be so sad if these arrow fly better or as good as my 15-16.00 arrow. Been looking for budget arrows to stop spending 50-60 for just 3 bolts/arrows..

    Are the 20" carbon Xpress bolts around 125grains including the broadhead? if so my crossbow (centerpoint 425 heat) can withstand them quite well.

      Mike, that’s pretty cool, these seem to be a popular combination of bolts and bow. As for the broad heads I will hopefully roll out a video next week, in the meanwhile I am going to try the shwaker expandables this year in 100 gr. I shot Muzzy 125gr 4 blades last year and they worked great. Just thought I would give expandables a try.

    hi great info ;question;wath is the diferance from the 20`` and 22`` they look long on your crossbow ,the point of impact is it diferant one from the other ,if use on a 405 fts is the 22 better or i keep the 20 with 125 gr in the front ,thank you ,merci à vous .

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  2 года назад +1

      Victor, so with crossbows you can always shoot a longer bolt than manufacturer recommendation but not shorter. My crossbow recommends 22” so I wouldn’t be able to shoot the 20”. As far as choosing one over the other I would go with what the bow is manufactured for, the shorter bolt may be faster, but a longer bolt may have more energy and may stabilize in flight a little better. I hope this helps!
