They tripped with making Shao Khan beat Onaga in MK Armageddon. It should've been Raiden vs. Onaga and Raiden sending the "He Must Win" message to himself after being defeated by Onaga. I hope we can bring this timeline stuff to a close in the MK1 DLC story add on.

We never actually saw Shao Kahn kill Onaga in MK Armageddon, Netherrealm Studio's just wrote him out of MK9 for some reason. It is just Shao Kahn fans saying Onaga was killed.

Technically that’s a misconception you see shao didn’t kill Onaga in Armageddon the scene where Onaga seemly got his revenge on Shao Kahn was retconned that’s why we see Shao winning Armageddon and not taven and Onaga could’ve been killed by blaze Shao remember he didn’t have the kamidogu in Armageddon or he was killed by someone else

He received Blaze's powers after killing the dragon king, when he returned to the pyramid, where he first beat Raiden, and then the elemental himself, thereby obtaining his powers, which was also officially said by the screenwriter many years ago

See isnt onaga supposed to be the baddest boss in MK history? Sure we have shao but i feel like Onaga is more fitting to be THE mk villain, shang and quan with raiden trying to kill him and raiden even destroyed everyone in an explosion and it doesnt scratch big boy ONA??

to be honest the the system of 3 styles form mortal combat x would be good for sequel if we real have to deep dive with multiverse like some character has the "titan" style utulizing the powers of time keeper in thier own way and having mk 1 timline as another style
