Got this 6 weeks ago and it’s been a great car. Glad I got the tire insurance. Ran over a nail and it was $450 to replace the 20” Pirelli. No charge to me. This car is fast too

The ioniq does have some interesting features! My first 2 cars were Hyundai and my 3rd won’t be. I still miss driving my Tiburon 😅 that was a fun to drive car!
I WAS really excited for electric since the early days when I almost bought a Fisker Karma (man the car was beautiful) but no mechanic near me said they would touch if issues arose. 😂
The biggest issue I have with electric is the battery performance in Canadian winters. If I’d have charge my car twice in a snowstorm on the way to Toronto I’d scream. 😅 For me the long range of ANY manufacture still isn’t enough for me and I how I drive a car (road trips) but they likely work well for 99% of the population.
Great review again! Now I just need to send you a list of the cars I’m looking at for reviews. 😉 I’ve been told three times (Porsche/Audi/Kia) that I can’t test drive a car I wanted to buy because they don’t want mileage on it. Very frustrating. If I can’t feel how a car handles a curve with acceleration how do I even know I’d like it?! Osmosis?! 😂

    sounds like a paid review.
almost no negative comments except quality in some area.
ppl should google hyundai ev $60k battery replacement. 3 buyers ran into the same issue, new car needed battery replacement, dealer quoted 60k, and insurance wrote it off as totalled becuz it cost more than the car.

god thats a hideous vehicle. any of you looking to get one of these might want to look up the cost of a replacement hybrid battery. spoiler, it costs as much as the car. i would seriously implore anyone looking to purchase one to research hyundais EV program

@ericwilliamson263 Exactly!! People should just stay away from both Hyundai and KIA. Horrible cars. Worst quality.

Where are you seeing this cost for replacement hybrid battery? The website and other mechanics quote $2-8k. Could be wrong, but would be helpful to show your work to verify.

@@TheAndrewsAve Some Chinese guy ran over a rock and destroyed the underneath, and the dealer quoted him $60K CAD to fully fix his EV. It was insurance situation for him. Hyundai HQ was unaware the dealer charged him that much. But overall this was accident caused by the driver and unfortunately sometimes you lose a car for running over a rock. It happened to me on my Camry as well. I have learned my lesson to have full coverage insurance. But we have egoistical people like Eric Williamson spreading BS information on Hyundai and Kia.

@@etvow just telling ppl to do their own research. in any case its alarming how that whole situation was handled and might make people think twice about falling for tech that isnt quite there yet. EVs arent in consideration for me i have no dog in this fight hyundai/kia is just as undesirable as a tesla in my case.
