My favorite part about these songs is that some parts make total sense, while random bits catch you off guard and are WAY harder to figure out the meaning of. Sometimes they may not even be meant to have a meaning, so there are many different ways to interpret them. And then of course there's the memes. Gotta have your memes.

There comes a point when you start to analyse these lyrics on a deeper level, and everything suddenly seems a lot less random. It's quite clear to me that this song is mainly about how Christmas has gone from being about loving and caring, to just shopping as much as possible (even though some people seem to think shopping makes you happier). It's weird to think that I once thought Bill Wurtz just put words together randomly without much thought put into it - he is actually a true artist.

But as indicators, these signs lack inherent meaning on their own without reference. Feelings and emotion are qualia, subjective experiences, that we inherently understand without the need for words. One of our greatest strengths as a species is our empathy and our ability to understand the emotions of others innately (ymmv, but it's a skill all of us have). So, by saying that English (or any other traditional language) isnt real but feeling are, one could interpret that as a statement that our connections with eachother extend beyond our normal capacity to communicate. On a deeper more fundamental level that doesnt require words to understand.
